  • I have had a couple of requests for retro or vintage hairstyles that are good for teenagers or easy to do for school. I had a think and these are the ones I came up with. Hopefully they should be not only very quick to do but also very easy without losing any vintage appeal.
Vintage styling doesn't have to conform to any rules. Just because you have FAKE victory rolls rather than real ones doesn't mean you like or wear the vintage style any worse than the next person. There is a lot of snobbery around. Don't get caught up in it. Enjoy yourself, enjoy styling yourself any way you like and have fun!
Hair isn't the most important thing in the world but, sometimes knowing you have a super cool 'do' can make you smile and that can only be a good thing right?
Welcome to Vintagious, here, in my own litttle corner of UA-cam I will show you how to create beautiful hairstyles from all eras. Sure, my main focus is on simple vintage hairstyling but I also love easy modern styles.
I don't have a favourite era, it changes all the time. One day it'll be Edwardian hairstyles that I'm all over, the next, pinup girl hair, the next I'll be all about Greek Goddesses and their crazy Barnets! I just love it all!
I do hope that you enjoy my videos and that you can learn something from them, even just a tiny bit - and even if you learn nothing I hope that they make you smile.

That is brilliant news. Sometimes the fake ones can look so good and for the amount of time they take, it's just nothing!

All of these styles are super cute, but the "fake" victory rolls are genius! Now even me ( whom is victory roll impaired) can look fabulous, I can do the fake ones!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!! Two thumbs up!!

Thank you for showing us the "fake" victory rolls--they worked the first time! I am transformed! Make-up and hair in less time than it took just to do my hair. (I spent several minutes rooting around for this same video so I could place the comments together). Thank you again!

I'm so pleased that you have found the videos inspiring. It can be really tricky growing out your hair. If the styles are EASY and FUN them I have done what I set out to do. Thank you so much for your sweet comment x

I'm 14, and I have very thin hair a few inches above my shoulders. I've always had trouble getting my hair to stay styled when I use heat, so every night I put pin curls in my hair and let them set over night, the next morning I take out the pins after I've gotten completely ready, then I shake out the curls. By them time I get to school, my curs have fallen just enough to still look big and bouncy. I'll wear a hairstyle once in a while, but other than that I'll twist my bangs back and do a side pomp.
I always struggle finding vintage hairstyles for short, thin hair, without using heat.
    Thanks for inspiring me (:

I'm so happy you did this. I'm 17 and most people don't consider that there are teens that love vintage as well. its really hard to be school appropriate and dress vintage. If you could do a video on clothes also that would be awesome!

THANK YOU for some shortcuts to beautiful vintage-inspired styles! I am one of those "more mature ladies" who has a soft spot for other eras. For the first time in my life, I am having fun doing something more than comb-it-and-go, but it would be nice if I had some styles that don't take an hour, which you have just provided. Between you and Cherry, it's a blast! Thank you also for the Victorian styles where I first discovered you. Tutorials on those are almost impossible to find!

I use Wella setting lotion. I can onlly find it at Sally's in tiny individual pots which you then have to buy in a huge box of 20 or something, but that's okay for me because I use so much of it. You may have better luck finding some elsewhere, depending on where you are x
