Welcome here :) Today we are inviting you to spend a Sunday morning with us, as we hurry around, getting ready for church. I'm including my tips & tricks to making our Sunday mornings go smoothly, as well as sharing my own recipe for roast chicken!

My Roast Chicken Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and bake for 20 minutes per pound.
Butter Mixture: (remember these measurements are estimates. Be creative, add as little or as much as you prefer!)
4 sticks of softened butter
1/4 cup coarsely chopped parsley
1 lemon, juiced
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons Salt
1 Tablespoon pepper
2 teaspoons onion powder or minced onion
2 tablespoons paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
Remove giblets, and pat dry. Using a spatula, separate the skin from the chicken, and fill with the butter mixture. Spread butter over the chicken skin, and stuff with parsley, onion, lemon, garlic...whatever your heart desires!
place in a roasting pan along with potatoes & carrots! enjoy!:)

wow how sad I was lucky hubby always help me on Sunday morning to get ready I always plan our Sunday dinner myself though.
I agree that is usually sad. An opportunity for others to help at church. But for me my husband was the pastor, he was always to church 2 hours before us! :)@@patriciacorpe6228

We had 4 boys 5 an under, but the last 3 boys are under 3 years apart. So this brings back memories of when they were all small, an having a Sunday morning routine made all the difference! ☺️They're 14, 11, 9, an 8 now. An we have 2 girls added on now!😊 yall are doing a great job!❤️

Haha yess😂 I only have a 3 year old and a newborn but mine is definitely much more hectic than this🫣😂 and most of the time I don’t even have to cook Sunday dinner, we normally eat at my husbands parents🤍

You are my kind of cook Kim, throwing several recipes together to make one. The chicken looks delicious. Would love to see more of your easy bake Sunday dinners. It's the same at our house we come home hungry and want to eat right away but my ideas and recipes are limited of what to bake in the oven.

I am not religious, but my husband's family are LDS, his sisters had quite a few children, and they would have to do 95% of getting ready the night before they went to church. One sister had (grown up now) 4 daughters to get ready, she said it was like a mad house on Sunday morning LOL. I love learning about other people's lifestyles. I use to live in an Exclusive Brethren community in Australia.
Beautiful family! Loving and peaceful. Loved the way your husband assisted you with the boys. When our children were little (3 kids under 5) my husband assisted if not for him, lord knows haha. Cute story here, I forgot to grab our daughters bottle from the fridge, so I scurried to get the bottle. Well, I grabbed the bottle and replaced it with her show I was putting on going out the door😮. Needless to say, she wore socks. Have a blessed day.

I really enjoyed coming along! I noticed you use the same sunday school books we do in our church!
I aslo like to prep as many things i can on Saturdays, the only thing i can't really do is but dinner in the oven, we have an hour drive to church and we sometimes get invited after church or if i have made some extra we invite someone so i rarely know if we for sure will be coming back home. Dont wanna leave my chicken in the oven the whole day 😂
But i do like the idea of having everything ready to go...

I alway made pancake on Sunday morning for most of the Sunday's in my 57 years of marriage got easier now with no kids any more, but I do miss those crazy mornings.

My husband always took care of the toddler why I did the baby. He washed her hair every Sunday morning too. Always teasing her saying 2 drops of poo! (Shampoo ) he was a terrific helpful dad too.

What time do you leave for church? I’m always slightly envious of people who don’t have to be out the door by 8:15. 😅
We usually leave around 9 o'clock:)
Do you tie the legs of your chicken after you get it stuffed to prevent the stuffing from falling out? What a good Dad to make special pancakes for the boys. Makes a fun breakfast and also a special moment with the boys. I used to do the same thing, prepare the night before for Sunday. We are not Mennonite but these things work for anyone. We are all loved by the Lord.
Sometimes I do! I didn't have any string on hand, so I didn't this time.
