- In todays episode I do the car review of Jens SAAB 93 AERO V6 2.8T review.
This car has from factory 250 horses but this is tuned.
So this one produces 290 horses and alot more torque.
I say this is the perfect sleeper car with good handling, a 6 speed manual and a discreet look as well.

Saab is Saab, fantastic position at the weel, acceleration, comfort, precision, nice plane alike interior design, and what I personally appreciate, all these features does not make this car snooty, design is rather modest, I would say, timeless. take care of your Saab guys! see ya on the road 😎

@@TheSwedishCarGuy All Saab review is expected :) Yes, I am looking for old Saab 900, as my first youngtimer, but is not easy, not too much on the market in Poland...Anyway, I wish Saab will reborn some day, and remain as a fully Swedish brand, General Motors stay away from these jets ! 😀

Great video! I have two SAAB 93s (2.0t 175 hp / 2.8L V6 255 hp). I live in Mexico, this is not an ordinary car here, most of the people when they see the SAAB they approach it. They sure think what car is that :)

I was waiting for 4 years to have the cash and find one here in Hungary... just when I wanted to buy an Opel Insignia OPC (same 2.8 engine, but 325HP AWD) suddenly a 2006 SAAB 9-3 black sedan, 2.8 V6 FWD, in mint condition, with a Stage 1 MapTun popped up on used cars app... What I wanted to spend on the OPC half of it was enough to buy the SAAB... my 4th SAAB... I do miss the turbo lag of the 2.3 litre 4 pot of the 9-5 Aero I had, but this car is scary! I consider myself a modest driver, I only do things I'm 200% sure I can handle... I went 230 km/h with this car on the highway, it is amazing how it always has some reserve power.... even when you start to floor at 160 km/h it pulls like a motherf**er.... the turbo is not like on older SAABs it sound like a damn airplane turbine :D if you love the brand and can quench the petrol thirst of this beast.. by all means, buy it! ;)

@@TheSwedishCarGuy Plans? Always! Finishing plans? Not so much. :D If we talk about performance, the current almost 300 HP is more than enough for me... I like to see the faces of teenagers in Bimmer 320d-s and VW Golf MK IV-s.... Kids here think that a lowered car, with bigger rims and a roaring exhaust = performance... of course other times I get swooshed away by some premium AMG Mercs, Audi RS whatevers and BMW M performance giants... so in terms of performance in the long run I wish to do the do88 Intercooler with the metal pipes, maybe get an open air intake (currently have a K&N filter in the stock box) and my biggest dream is to put a bigger turbo on the beast. As far as I know, I don't need to change any engine parts up to 400 HP so changing to a bigger turbo and fine tuning the ECU shouldn't be such a nightmare...
I also want to change every strut (maybe springs also), because being a 2006 car I kinda hear a lot of knocking from the back, when going through potholes and I want to grab the road like a good car should. I already have some fine brand new tyres for this season and the previous owner upgraded the breaks, so all in all I think suspension needs my attention, then we can talk about whats under the hood again :)

this is the first time i have actually heard my car from the outside. didnt realise how amazing my car actually sounds. and this review is pretty spot on, word for word how i felt about my own. never had car love til i got my 93 aero.

I like those the new saab 95 ngs designs inside my dream saab would be the unicorn saab 95 ng estate which is impossible to buy as so rare.. they are all in Germany..

@@TheSwedishCarGuy I’m thinking an exhaust obviously, than maybe a cold air intake, I’m gonna lower it and get some rims that match and look good on the car (although I can’t think of any good rims to have on it) and I’ll just go from there really.

Don't buy any fake parts either. You will save alot in the end by doing that :)
Have you checked out I force wheels from Japan?
@@Jadanti6 Intake doesn't do anything at all apart from sucking in hot air and putting additional strain on your intercooler. A complete exhaust and the all essential remap make the biggest difference.

Hello all. I am new to SAABs and been researching the car. I have read many positive and enthusiastic reviews for the SAAB 9-3 AERO and other people ignore it and call it a Chevy because it supposedly has a lot of GM parts. Do SAAB 9-3 AERO have any Torque Steer? What are your thoughts? Would you buy the SAAB 9-3 AERO over a Toyota Camry? Thanks.

I do love the Saab 9-3 aero, such a great car despite its age and if you maintain them they are amazing :)
Toyota camry is one of the best selling cars of all time tho, I think the camry is good but kinda dull.

Look at rust in the wheel wells, and on the sides :) check for oil leaks also, and check the turbo also so its fine :)

Great car and video but MAN do not clutch-in gear while still on the throttle. I know the Aero clutch will work great to +- 400nm of torque, but you are shaving some precious material every time you use the clutch while still pressing the gas pedal.

Är så mycket mer än den ser ut, de beskriver alla dessa gm2.8 v6 turbon, köpte en vectra för 15000kr o den är ju inte direkt snygg o har inte något värre ljud förräns man klämmer ordentligt på gasen o 280-290 hästar drar iväg😍

I owned a 2006 Aero (2.8). It was a reasonably fun car to drive, but the quality was wretched. From the day I bought it, there was always something wrong.
Worse, despite its upmarket price, it wasn’t sold at dealerships that were interested in providing service accordingly.
Sorry to hear you had such bad experience on it :/ so what do you drive now?
