- Daiwa Infeet 20 Rod Review. The Review on the latest light fishing rods. I make it EASY and break down the blanks, guides, reel seat, taper profiles and colour schemes. Is this the range for light game fishing in Australia right now? They just maybe... My final comment is the most controversial.

daiwa infeet fishing rod, chris canning, shimano vanford, shore jigging, daiwa infeet 2020 review daiwa infeet ex 2020
Hey Byron, just Wondering what your your thoughts might be on this. Im thinking about purchasing this rod in the 732lfs for Bream and flathead on soft plastics since it’s qualities are so good for its price but I was thinking about maybe looking into purchasing something a bit more expensive ($300ish budget). Do you recommend the infeet or something else within that budget. Thanks for being a reliable creator who I can go to for trusty info about products.🤙🏻👏(hope you find this)
6102LRS, and the 702LRS... you're an absolute legend Byron keep it up mate
2x 6"10 would be sweet as for Yak fishing 😍
Loved the Vid legend excellent stuff as always 🤙🏼
Thanks for the honest review Byron. I really look forward to your videos. The 722ULRS and the 732LFS really suits my style of fishing.
Glad you like them!
Keep up the great vids! I reckon the 722ULRS and 732LFS look like absolute weapons.
Joshua Bland thanks Joshua appreciate the support mate
Thanks for the great review Byron. I’d been wondering about that hook keeper position too! A 732LFS and 762ULRS are the models that interest me the most. Cheers
thanks for the kind words Keir
Can't wait. Already have 3 different infeet models and a 5 piece gekkabijin. These look a lot like the older rf68t - rf74t models. Have you had a look at the z or ex range? Wondering if the blanks change much over the price range or are you just paying the extra for guides and seats.
20 INFEET 6101LFS & THE 732LFS would be incredible rods! Keep up the great work legend
I own the 732lfs. The rod is unbalanced imo. It feels top heavy. I would recommend going with the higher models in the infeet range if your budget permits
Love Diawa and love the effort you are putting into your videos. The hours you are putting in defiantly show 👍
Liquid_Existence thanks for the feedback!
Awesome video Byron. Couldn’t agree more on your points about giving kids or friends quality gear so they can experience how enjoyable or better fishing can be....nothing worse than a rubbish rod or reel and hating a few hours using it. I have a current Infeet 6102LRS and it casts brilliantly and don’t mind sharing it with the kids. Can’t wait for the 2020 models to have a look. Appreciate your review. 👍🏻
Thanks Dean, glad you enjoyed it mate. Hope to see you again on here soon!
Yeeew! Awesome Work mate! The 20 INFEET 702LRS & 20 INFEET 722ULRS would be AWESOME!
Thanks for the compliment!! Entry is in!!
Just found your channel and love the videos! Keep me sane in lockdown in Melbourne!! The
6102LRS, and the 702LRS... would really make my year, I got my first ever fishing kayak Right as we got locked down - so to christen on all three at the same time would be sweet!!! 🎣🙌
Thanks Claire! The channels been a work in progress, some of the original stuff is pretty raw. Lol. I’ve got your entry sorted, 20 Aug I’ll announce the winner :).
Great vid mate, The 722ULRS AND 702LRS would be my pick.... very excited for this range being a very budget conscious angler
Thanks Johnathon
Great video with all the right things covered!! Would love to get my hands on some of these a 722URLS and 732LFS would be great if I was the lucky one 🤞🤞. Keep up the good work Byron 👌
Thanks Ryan, appreciate the support
Would love a 722ulrs for crank bait fishing and 702LRS for the plastics and vibes awesome work mate you have been killing it with the videos keep it up. Keen to catch up again at the hobie rounds

6101 lfs & 732 Lfs !!! Great video mate, looking forward to the launch of these rods!
Thanks for the feedback on the video Jason - really appreciate it
Honestly 2 of the 702LRS would be perfect for my yak. Chasing the bass and brembos :) Keep is the videos mate!! Great quality stuff and super enjoyable.
Thanks Marti! Appreciate the the feedback!
Great review Byron! If my name was drawn out the the (electronic) hat, I'd go the 732LFS and 722ULRS. I reckon these two would cover most of the usual lures thrown at bream.
Nice Matthew! Thanks for the review.
Great review. I’d love one of the red and black Daiwa Infeet rods 702LRS. But wouldn’t be disappointed with the blue and white either. Thanks!
You get to choose one of each of you win Bartholomew!
nice vid again! I have bought the infeet z rod in the red fast taper 7'8'' for suface and hard bodys and its amazig, I will add though that daiwa has a add to compare were you can compare them side by side its a really useful tool especially when looking at their reel range it helps you understand what your getting for what price.
Thanks Simon! Great to hear
Great video Mate!
The 722ULRS and the 702LRS would be pergect rods for the fishing I do.
keep up the great content
Really appreciate the feedback keeps me motivated!
Great vid Byron 👍 Great looking rods and cheers Berleypro for sponsor! Id pick a 722ULRS & 6101LFS.
Awsome video love how your one of the first to use the rod cool as 🤙🏽
Just very lucky buddy! Very lucky!
Very nice review Byron. Now, I know you said that each rod suits different techniques ie one for hard bodies, the other for SP's. BUT, if you could only buy one, which one would YOU get?
That 6101LFS would be my pick. Loved the rod. That being said if I wanted something that did it all.. 702 :)
6101LFS and 762ULRS would be a perfect combination for the NSW south coast. Keep the good vids up.
Thanks Jason! Entry is on the list. 🤙
great video!!!!! i would love the 6101LFS and the 722ULRS . those rods would be so good on the gold coast canals.
FISHING Adventures with CJ good pick CJ! Glad you enjoyed the video
Great video mate, super detailed and enjoyable to watch. Keep up the good work! I'll take a 732LFS and 702LRS.
Thanks buddy! Appreciate the comment
Another great vid mate. I can see myself with the 702LRS, good alround rod which is handy in a yak to travel light and be used in various senarios. 👍🏼
Remember you get to choose a second rod too Sergio!
@@ByronTeaHill haha, im not greedy, lol! But 6101LFS would be awesome with cranka crabs in tight spots! Many thanks Byron, keep up the vids, Im in lockdown. Ps: like your magnetic catch on your net, ive done something similar, gr8 idea!
Great video once again Byron. My preference would be the 732LFS and the 6101LFS thanks. Can’t wait to see what your thoughts are on the Bait Junkies, cheers.👍
The next video ;)
ByronTeaHill Can’t wait, I just subscribed then as well, I thought I already was but that was my old account😂. Cheers.
Hey Byron, thanks for the videos, always a really good source of information.
I know this video has been out for a while but hope you get to see this. I am thinking of investing in my first technic specific high-end rod, and I am finding it quite challenging to decide between a Miller rod (twichfreak) and the Daiwa Infeet EX for hardbody lures (cranking and jerk baits), also, the fact that I can't find a dealer that stocks miller rods where I live, so I can physically feel the rod makes the choice harder. It would be a great help to have your personal opinion on them?
Thanks mate!
Mate they are great rods which ever way you go. I like the TwitchFreak and have used it before but my boat is also covered with the Infeet rods. Honestly mate I recommend both so it may be a case of flipping a coin for you. You’ll be happy with either.
762ULRS and 732LFS would be awesome. Great video as alway Byron
Harrison’s Fishing appreciate the feedback Harrison! Entry is in.
Mate, another epic video. You belong on prime time! If lady luck comes knocking, could she please deliver 20 INFEET 722ULRS & 20 INFEET 732LFS. Cheers mate, Ando
Excellent review Byron, you sold me in the first five minutes! 🤣 722ULRS AND 732LFS would do me fine ! Thank you..
I didn’t sell you!! The rods did! Hahahaha thanks for the feedback Peter!
Hey Byron , any of these rods I would love sound awesome , another great video mate! liked, subscribed
Hey mate, good to hear from you - hope you’re well bud
@@ByronTeaHill yeah doing alright thanks mate , enjoying your videos , keep it up
Lindsay Pettiford thanks mate. Hopefully I see you on the water soon.
Love the detail you went into in this video ‼️‼️‼️ I would love 762ULRS and the 732LFS 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Thanks Mathew! Appreciate the feedback. Got your entry here!
Hey mate. Awesome review. Im in the market. Was tossing up the z series over these but couldnt justify. Gimme the one model … for vibes and clutchs divers.
You have me as a subscriber! Luv your work.
Thanks Benny!!!! Z series is a solid series also, I've gota few on the boat.
@@ByronTeaHill do you think the extra dollars are justified?
Ripper video mate 👌 think I'd go the 762ULRS and the 732LFS 😍🤤
Not bad sir, not bad at all
@@ByronTeaHill flats covered and the plastics, should be set for gippy haha
So bait junkie review coming out tomorrow yeah? 😅
Great video
I like the 6101LFS because I have some very bad rods and that looks really good
Another great video ! Can’t wait for the next one!
If I was lucky enough to win I’d love the 722URLS and the 732LFS. Thanks heaps ! Keep the great video coming !
You're in!
Hey mate been loving your videos. Wondering if you could help me decide on a rod? Tossing up between this Infeet series and the TD Black 20 rods. Is there much difference between the two and which would you suggest? Cheers keep up the great work :)
Hey Mitch, this is the type of question I answer in the members area! tight lines mate
@@ByronTeaHill how do you get into the members area? :)
@@mitchmcgovern5580 hey dude, there's a join button on the channel when you look it up on the desktop
Nice review.
Id be super stoked to win these!
Im keen on the 6101LFS and the 722ULRS :)
🤘🤘
Great video as usual. Hard decision but I would go the 702LRS & 762ULRS. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Kangsstaroo
Great review mate, keep em coming please. I will get a pair of those .
Thanks Martin! Let me know how you go, keen to hear what you get
These looks the goods Byron. I'd love the 610LFS or 702LRS - either one would be brilliant! Cheers :)
Hi Mate, Thanks for your previous reply in regards to my inquiry. I'm looking forward to purchasing a rod or two from the Daiwa Infeet 20 range for land base fishing with soft plastics lures targeting Brim and Red Fin. Could you be kind enough to advise me Rod Infeet 20 Z range or the Infeet 20 range which would best suit me and a reel 2500 please. Cheers.
Hey mate, great review. In your opinion how do these compare to the Infeet Z range? Your review has made me think why should I buy one rod from the Z range when I can get 2 from this range. Appreciate any feedback. Love your work. 👍👍👍
Both value for money Ardie! I’d look at it more so from what you need. If there are two spare spots in your quiver, then go the $189 range. If there is one spare spot, go the Z
@@ByronTeaHill that makes perfect sense......🤣🤣🤣. Thanks for your reply, really appreciate your input.👍
Great video. What do you recommend in the middle range 'Z' for throwing around hard body lures such as Double Clutches chasing flatties around the sand flats?
Hey mate I’ve recently grabbed a rod from the z range - they do feel just that little bit more ‘tuned’ up. Still great value, give them a buzz.
@@ByronTeaHill Hi mate. Do you have a recommendation on which rod model to get? 732 seems to be the go to for soft plastics.
Awesome vid Byron. My preferences would be the 6101LFS and the 732LFS
Good choice @Jamo
Does the 6101 still have good power when skull dragging them out of structure?
Hi, quick question, not sure if you mentioned it or not, but which rod in the cheaper range of the 2020 infeet would you choose for casting 1/32oz jigs and 2-3g minnows?
Thanks👍👍
I can’t wait to get the 722ULRS, 702LRS and 6101LFS models.
Great review.
The 762ULRS and 732LRS look real sweet. Nice one
762 is one of like to get my hands on too... long casts! Thanks for the comment on the review.
What local stores would you recommend you buying this from from Adelaide These 2 rod thx
702LRS for the kayak and 762ULRS for all-round versatility (softer action would be good for squid)
Great review. Surprised with the pricing and spec. The 702LRS and 732LFS spec seems to be more suitable to my fishing.
Yewwww nice!
Hey Byron, I've had the previous model of the infeet in the 6101 and loved it. I'm after a plastics rod and tossing up whether to splash the money on a millers grub freak or save a bit of money and grab a this in the 732 or even the infeet z in the 732. Either way I'm saving money towards a new reel to match or tackle. Just after your opinion or any advice thanks mate
732Z MODEL IS OUTSTANDING!
6’10 and 7’2!!!!! Sweet vid Byron, love ya work :)
I love your work.
ByronTeaHill blush* hahaha
722ULRS looks the goods! Thanks for an honest review they look mint! 👌
Now worries Zac! Thanks for entering!
I would love to have a decent trial of both the Rods as reviewed by BTH! Is there any long Distance casting rod for bigger plastics, say 7 up to 15 grams, 3 to 5kg line at Longer 7.5 - 8 foot lengths? For landbased fishing of estuaries.
Hey mate will a Daiwa Infeet Base 1-4kg handle some Australian Salmon and some small kings? Also, what leader do I use to safely land some big flathead, salmon or rat king
I would froth over the 722ULRS and the 702LRS. Need to put some more runs on the board in the yak and need some decent swords to slay. Keep up the good work mate!!
k f love that word.. froth! So good
Great vid mate, my picks would be the 702LRS & 732LFS
Entry is logged!
Having read the descriptions I’m thinking the 702LRS and the 6101LFS but I’m interested to know what you think would be good for me!
Hey Beth! The 6101 is a little weapon! Great rod!
Hey bro any thoughts on the 2020
Infeet base range (fast models) vs the 2020 TD Black range rods for light tackle soft plastics? Both are around the 200$ mark.
Was he talking about the 189 model or the more expensive infeet models? I'm confused...there is 3 price tiers in the infeet range
Came across this mint channel while procrastinating1. ❤❤My pick would be 6101 LFS and 722 ULFS.
Mate love the compliment. Zac, good choices on the rods. Entry is in.
702LRS and the 732LFS would be sweet. Nice vid. These look massive
Thanks Jason!
702ulrs and the 610lrs or what ever the reg taper ones are thanks legend
Thanks the entry Marlon
Hey mate will a Diawa Infeet Base 732LFS be a good combo with a Shimano Nasci 2500?
Awesome comp with and unreal prize two of the 702LRS would be perfect one for me and one for my son fingers crossed
Bruce! Unreal choice. Good luck, I hope you and your son win the comp. 🤙🤙

2 rods that would be perfect would be a 722ulrs for throwing crabs! A 6101lfs as a good crossover for bass.
The two that I fished with Paul... good choices!
One of the 20 infeet 6101LFS, and a 20 infeet 722ULRS
Halen's Outdoor Adventures nice set of rods those two! Thank you for entering!

Nigel Buckton toooo easy!
Cheers Mate! would appreciate your input from this range to pair wit my Tatula 150H to be used for Bream fishing with plastics. Your input would be highly appreciated.

732lfs and 762ulrs for working flats and rocks walls with placcys and crankbaits
Nice Lachie. Entry is in.
Hey mate how do you know what colour the rod is online
David, just spoke to the guys about this, they are looking at updating the website. Shooting from the hip, I think rods with the F in the title will be black and red. the ones with the R in the code will be white and blue.
Another top quality vid mate and great review. 722ULRS and 732LFS Cheers.
Thanks Ben... You're a legend
Love you work mate , a 6101LFS and a 732LFS would be sweet . Thanks for a chance to win.👍
The models 702LRS and the 732LFS would suit my type of fishing best
!!Nice!!
one of these 20 INFEET 6101LFS and a 20 INFEET 702LRS would work perfectly for a yak
Thanks for the entry Gus!
Just went net surfing for them but seems that they all sell for over $300 ?
Hey mate, look for the ‘20 infeet’ range - in that range there are 3 series. The lowest range is $189. The Daiwa website is where to go, they hit the stores this week.
@@ByronTeaHill Thanks mate , found them . Question : I have the Nitro innovator Bream Finesse 6’6 , the Vapor 07 , the long cast and the baby viper . What model would you suggest will complement my arsenal?
Sounds like an awesome rod. 702LRS & 762ULRS Look sweet
They are Nick, nice dude.
Would love the 732LFS and 722ULRS models.
Entry logged thanks Wallyy
@@ByronTeaHill Cheers!
I'd go the 6101 lfs and the 732 lfs, I like my soft plastics. 🤙

I wish I could mate! I don’t have the rods unfortunately
😂
Love to try the 6101LFS and 722ULRS. Cheers
That 6101 is the bees!
Hi mate
Which rod in the Daiwa infeet Z series would you recommend for casting both light soft plastics and small cranka crab , rollin crank and the smaller of Daiwa double clutch
For the soft plastics the 732 is a great rod.
@@ByronTeaHill
And how would the 732 go using crank baits like the cranka crab and rollin crank
The 702LRS & 732LFS would be perfect for my style of fishing 👍
Thanks for the comment mate!
702LRS would be nice . but will be ordering one in after watching this video ...

No worries bud.
Love watching your videos.

Just a quick question. With the hook keeper lower on the butt how well does it go in the kayak rod holders with a lure on it.
Cheers mate.
hobo Adventure hey mate, seemed ok, it was definitely a little odd to start with though, just having it in a different position to what I was used to, but not a problem after a few outings
Thanks for that . Keep up the great vids love the content.
