I love seeing.what I've created when it's complete. A few I'm like ok...and then the others are like WOW I did that. But my Mom was the only one in my family that new I can draw. Now I'm back at it but with paint. And I love it. I wish I lived near you . I would love to have one on one teachings from you. I know your Mom love what you did. And so do i.
I absolutely love how thick those paints are - so tactile! And keeping it for the flowers is really clever. I'd have made some of the leaves stand out with thicker paint too, but that would have lost the impact of the flowers. I saw your Mum loves it, I'm not surprised 😊
This is my running commentary as I watch. I will pause, write then go back. I don't want to miss a thing. I love your background stories that tie into your art projects... I really like the way you did your background paints... I like how you did the stems, then the leaves, then the foreground foliage... I love how you made the flowers in all the natural ways they grow, straight up, hanging down, swaying, facing left and right, and growing over top of one another... I can tell what every flower is, and your honeysuckle made me remember when I was little of how I stood at the fence row and competed with the bees for the sweet nectar. I ate every flower, every year for several years. They are delicious, lol. Just like they smell!! This is a beautiful painting and you Mother will be thrilled! Yes, you are a Mom, even if they're furry and have four legs. You're the type of person I look for when I foster. I socialize, train and home cats and dogs. The last adventure was 3 litters I had to nurse 24/7! I couldn't talk. Everytime they heard my voice, they would all cry to be fed. And, yes, I train cats and dogs the same. Everyone sits when asked, come when called, walk on leads, and encouraged to show their personalities. All are ESA quality, and their forever home can apply if they choose. Several were service animals, including 3 cats in my little town. Happy Mother's Day Molly 😊❤

This turned out so pretty! I was chatting to a lady at a crafts market/fair that I did yesterday about when I first started watching fluid art videos and how it looked so easy to do but then I tried it and realised that no it wasn't easy at all! (You professionals in the videos were just making it look like the easiest thing ever 😂) and how people do make that assumption etc. I think we all do it to some extent and then when we try stuff it's a lot more difficult than you expect and that (in my experience anyway) just makes me even more impressed by those who make it look easy. I gained a whole new level of admiration for you and other fluid artists I was watching after I tried it myself, as I'm sure you're having to the artists who make working with heavy body paints and textures look super easy since you tried playing around with the technique. Also, Mr Molly getting you a card from the kitties is super sweet. I love that! He's definitely a keeper! 😊
I assumed you went to college for this type of art form. So, you developed your own style of dutch pouring, other "pouring" forms, and the swiping...was that your idea? Or, like some other art forms, you perfected a swipe technique? I've followed you for quite awhile. I assumed you were a professional artist your entire adult life. I think one of the first I saw was one of Molly's ocean wave blowouts and I think it melted my brain a bit that she was able to just drizzle some paint on a canvas, put a blow dryer through it and **poof!** this stunningly beautiful ocean wave appeared. 😂 I have been subscribed ever since and I think she still manages to melt my brain all the time with techniques, colour palettes and styles I would never even think of. (That's why she's paid the big bucks! Lol! 😂)
