As someone who saw this on 4kids when i watched the 2001 japanese version I fell in love with that Metal track they gave him it was soooo badass too bad it doesn't return
To be fair, Faust was all about studying the art of bringing back a physical body to it's peak condition, which he did perfectly. What he couldn't do, however, was call back the person's soul. That's Anna's specialty, calling forth death souls. Anna can't exactly give them bodies like Faust can, however.

He was able to get the bones to move and even able to use his oversoul for flesh, but it was basically just a mindless puppet until Ana called forth Eliza's soul from the afterlife. Only otakos like Ana can call forth souls that have already passed into the afterlife, instead of staying on Earth.

I started shaman king2021 ver. yesterday and I'm quickly in ep7 now lol it's fun to watch:) I love seeing voice actors I love again and when animes make references to each other so this'll be bit long I feel pain for Ryu getting his pompadour hair insulted and cut countless times in these 7 episodes :( he doesn't even bother anymore Josuke would rearrange everyones faces from anger if it was his pompadour; one can't imagine what would he do if it was cut LMAO. Ryu got a heart shape on his cutted hair tho if it makes any better. The spirit who possessed him has okuyasu's VA hehe. 1:37 muda desuyo :3 he has a tattoo fully around his neck. Dio having wounds on his neck too... 0:21 him doing the dio pose lol and in 2:54 and 1:02 scenes he also says (cropped in this vid) " *Toki wo tomare,* omae wa utsukushi..." ("stay still, you beautiful moment.") when telling Yoh a memory about dealing with devil. 1:02 moment "HIHIHIHIEHEHE MUDA DAYO~! Yoh-kun wa ugokenai!" Him giggling hehehhehe... God I love Takehito Koyasu's voice so much.

Don't know why but Faust's features look a lot more soft and smooth than in the 2001's Shaman King.
