    We have been to NYC a number of times and the people there are friendly and helpful. If you stand in the sidewalk looking at a map, someone will ask where you are trying to go and if they can help you. Our first experience in NYC upon arriving at Grand Central RR station, we asked a business man where the ticket booth was that sold Broadway show tickets (this is an outdoor booth). He not only showed us, but helped us take our luggage there.

      Yeah a lot of people are friendly out here and we’re pretty used to tourists most of the time if you’re confused and someone is heading in the same direction they will take you there but if you’re caught in a morning rush and people are trying to get to work they won’t be so nice especially if a train is late that ruins everyone’s mood.

    As a native New Yorker, I can say that we are friendly, but very direct. NYC is a very fast paced city and we do not like to be delayed. Please do not block the sidewalk while trying to get around or looking up at the tall buildings. Must try the pizza, the bagels and hot dogs from street carts.

    • @raymonds7492

    • @CharlieRogers50
      @CharlieRogers50 3 роки тому +25

      The problem is most New Yorkers feel "being delayed" justifies treating people like garbage. And that's why everyone thinks you're douchebags.

    • @ESUSAMEX
      @ESUSAMEX 3 роки тому +12

      @@CharlieRogers50 Well, everyone is wrong. As far as New Yorkers are concerned anyone who blocks the sidewalk and doesn't allow others to pass is an uneducated, selfish fool. By the way, being direct is not treating anyone like garbage. Being direct and blunt is much better than being a sneaky snake.
      I have found that most people around the country love my New York outlook and drive. I know a ton of people who like hiring New Yorkers because we get things done. The only downside to NY is its liberal corrupt government and by extension the high taxes and overpriced housing.
