The Baseball one was about the Steve Bartman incident in 2003.
This was in the 8 inning of the 6th game of the National League Championship Series. The Cubs were winning the game 3-0 and 3 Games to 2 and it would be the first time that the Cubs would play in the World Series since 1945(last title was in 1908). After the catch the Cubs lost the game 8-3 and lost the series.
The guy had to be escorted out of the stadium with the fans shouting insults and throwing debris at him.
his name and personal information were published online, necessitating police protection at his home. He faced further harassment from fans and the media after the Cubs' loss in the series, as he was scapegoated for the continuation of the team's then 95-year championship drought.

The play would have put the Cubs just 4 outs away from winning the game. Also the Billy Goat curse was real. The Cubs ended up giving Bartman a WS ring when they won in 2016.

The issue with Flint Michigan water was back in 2014 the city switched the source of its water supply from Lake Michigan/Detroit River to the Flint River and didnt properly treat the water resulting in dangerously high lead contamination and legionella bacteria in it. President Obama even declared the issue a Federal emergency. In 2016 they switched to the Great Lakes Water Authority and started a plan to replace all the lead pipes. Eventually, the Governor and 8 members of the city staff were charged with 34 felony counts and 7 misdemeanor.

In case you guys don't know, there used to be a thing in the U.S. about Yale and Harvard having this rivalry on which is the best academic University in the country. Yale's in New Haven, CT, and Harvard is in Cambridge, MA. Both draw heavily from prep schools, which I guess are a bit like your "public" schools.
Being a "legacy" means one or both of your parents went there, and it'll make it a lot easier to get into an ivy league school like that especially if you come from old-money establishment. The one guy with the absurd jaw and the "boston brahmin" accent (think Thurston Howell from Gilligan's Island) is an obvious parody / homage to that type; the jaw denoting upper-class inbreeding and the entitled manner and speech. The last guy on the focus is obviously someone who comes from less and is in that prep school and going to be sweating about trying to get into someplace like Yale...thus the humor...

What's wrong with creating musical art and having a few brews or snorts of whiskey with some friends? Blokes, Vegas is basically like this. A tourist section where all the giant hotels and "family friendly" types of entertainment are and then there's the Strip. It's the Strip (hard core) most people think of, from movies and stuff. In the hotel areas after hours things close to keep tourists in the casinos/hotels. On the strip its active 24/7 but you do have to aware of what's going on around you especially at night. I've been to Vegas a few times and liked it, and both areas have pros/cons.

Hello from the States!!! I just recently found your channel & am binging a wee bit. This one hit hard for West Virginia. Needless to say I didn't care for their portrayal. EEeehh! What are ya goin' ta do???
You guys talking at the end pretty much nailed it for around here. As far as being able to sit out on the deck, have a beer & playing music. Watch the wildlife right outside your door.(Some may end up on the dinner table too) LOL!!!
But the way this land was settled the Scotts/Irish came over & ended up settled throughout West Virginia. Because it was just like home, without all the BS. The American Indian welcomed them. Even brought some into the tribe as family. When they traveled with close to nothing & whatever musical instruments they could carry. They made sure to bring tunes along. Gotta have some music. Especially in hard times & even better in good times.
There are a lot of generations that have past since then & some have tried to hold onto their roots. Others have no idea what their history even is. When in all honesty it is what they fled their homeland for, Scotland & Ireland alike. English were trying to wipe them out. Crush all the Clans & wipe out all memory of them. Needless to say....They weren't having it! The very reason they chose to live here is because it reminded them of home. It is absolutely beautiful country. Probably some of your own ancestors may have immigrated over here. Who knows! I'd say if we went back far enough, we would have a relative or two from the same family tree!
Anywhoooo!! I really enjoy your channel & of course I had to subscribe. Hope to enjoy many more vids to come. Take Care & God Bless!!!

4.2K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 Thanks for the funny, digital video recording! 🎬😎👍✌️🖖
By the way! The writers of the show, are a part of the segment of the, World Population, that is ignorant about Bovine gender terms! (Ahem.)
Bulls are the males. (Steers, are the males that have been castrated, or if you prefer, "neutered".) As for the females, if they are virgins, or if they aren't, but have yet to be pregnant, they are known as, "heifers". Those that are mothers, are the "cows", okay! (When Human girls call each other by either term, it would seem that "heifer", means no one will have sex with that girl, based on context. While, "cow", is about weight and physical looks. 🤔 )
The song lyric, "Get along little dogie", refers to a, motherless or neglected calf, by the way.
There's an animated CGI movie, in which the characters voiced by the actors, Kevin James & Sam Elliot, as son and father, respectively, are Bovines, that must be a pun of, "cowboy", as they are called, "boy cows"! If not a deliberate pun, then the writers are ignorant too! Bulls, were shown as a different species! 🤬

Ones I definitely dont get and are actually bizarre:
-New Hampshire. Wtf, do they steal? I actually would have thought the opposite if anything, that they have less crime.
-Rhode Island. Dont most public beaches have fat people? Or do some places not?

Flint Michigan is known for having lead in the public water supply. That is the reference. The pipes are outdated. It’s hardly the only town in America with this problem though. It is known for it almost like as a distraction so we don’t notice that the infrastructure sucks everywhere else as well. Also Detroit was the home of the auto industry back when cars were made in America. Now flint is one of the poorest places on earth, so it represents how American jobs got shipped overseas and one of the richest towns in America is now just known for poverty and lead poisoning. Watch Michael Moore’s first movie “roger and me” for way more context than I can give. I live in California, and a few years ago I worked at a school in woodland. And they put signs on top of every drinking fountain on campus that said “you might get cancer from drinking this water”. So how the fuck is a thirsty 12 year old supposed to interpret that information? The problem goes way beyond Flint. Meanwhile we just bombed Syria a couple days ago. . . Thanks Biden.
