It's the song to start on imo Because you might not know it's a band and when the band kicks in you get a crazy release of the tension Amya voice and the Piano creates during the build to it
Amy Lee has said she helped write this when she was in an abusive relationship. She was out to lunch with a friend and he noticed she was not okay, and she hadn’t even mentioned what she was going through. He could just tell. That’s when she wrote the first lines “how can you see into my eyes like open doors?” Fun fact- she got out of the abusive relationship and married the guy she went to that lunch with 😊
Hi..in this ..try to check out. ,,Null positiv-wo Rauch ist,ist auch Feuer,,(about war).. ,,Broilers -ihr da oben,,(you,up in sky ...about gone friends). Enjoy without understanding german ✌️
In my opinion this was the beggining and ascending of Amy Lee Career, i remember i was a mid teen around 14yo when this started to appear on TV and many ppl were listening to it, also i remember being associated to the DareDevil Soundtrack Movie that was released back then, Amy Lee is still awesome in this Generation😄
NICE! I was just turning 41 when this came out so for me it WAS new generation stuff and now it's old and now I'm,,,,,, ya! I liked it and got the CD and it still holds up today really as also my reaction to your reaction!! Great Job!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
My Immortal, Lithium, Call Me When You're Sober, Going Under, Lost in Paradise... and you will still be only scratching the surface. The male vocalist is just a guest vocalist for this one song. Amy Lee is the lead vocalist and has one of the most powerful voices in Rock.
Look up “going under”, “lithium” “call me when your sober “, “taking over me”, “good enough”, and “break in” a duet with Halestorm. And many others. If you’re getting into some Rock, metal, try Metallica, AC/DC, Disturbed, Five finger death punch, Halestorm, In this moment, Scorpions, Motley Crew, just a few to check out. For your rock adventure.
Hahaha, loved this reaction more than any other so far, because of your reaction to the video, as well as the song. Consider this evidence that the 21st century CAN do rock music. Stonking track. My Immortal and Going Under are worth listens.
Amy Lee's voice is so ethereal....just stunning. Please react to Amy Lee & Lindsay Sterling's collab - 'I Don't Need Drugs' - stripped back but POWERFUL! 💔
_My Immortal_ _Lithium_ _Call Me When You're Sober_ _My Heart is Broken_ _My Immortal_ is her signature song IMHO, but _Lithium_ gets under your skin. But they're all roller coasters - she doesn't waste time hitting you between the eyeballs. Not superficial and you have to pay attention to the lyrics.
Amy Lee is the ultimate goddess of rock and her band is just awesome. Many more great Evanescence songs and video's to enjoy (if you can bring yourself to).
Recommend 3 more from Amy in different bands/structure; Evanescence - My Immortal Halestorm - Break In (duet with Lzzy Hale) Seether ft. Amy Lee - Broken
I watched Amy love two years ago in Vegas. Still has an amazing voice. You need to do my immortal and also Amy and Lucy Hale have a song together that is amazing
Yep, Amy Lee can sing with the best of them! If you really want to get out of your comfort zone... check out any major hit from the Eagles: Hotel California, Lyin' Eyes, Take It Easy, I Can't Tell You Why, etc... I will bet money you'll recognize those songs from commercials, tv shows, movies.. so on.
Abbi Carter won American Idol this season and she covered this song, which was so out if her lane, but I do believe it was the moment that everyone realized who the winner was going to be. Outstanding cover. Liked it mire than this, and it was live!
You have not really heard this song until you witness the " Waggki Band " live performance. With an orchestra. Amy Lee and Yuko Susehana harmonize perfectly. Also, frickin orchestra backing Waggaki...Just sayin, if you love music...It makes me cry.
She also wrote this song about her now husband. She was with a certain member of the band we don’t talk about cuz ewwww but her now husband asked if she was ok and she felt seen. It’s a really amazing love story honestly
It was about a abusive relationship she had been in which made her numb and she realised all the things she’d been missing in her life and wanted to be brought back to life
check out the song: Lithium. ua-cam.com/video/PJGpsL_XYQI/v-deo.html If you check out My immortal react to the best live performance of it here: ua-cam.com/video/ANbyXGc0z4U/v-deo.html
It's actually very easy to have never heard of most of this music, because what we heard growing up depends on what our parents listened to, what your friends listened to, and what is on the radio or, these days, one's "Spotify" recommendations list. if you're thinking of getting into more "ROCK", I'd STRONGLY recommend BAND-MAID (AKA BANDMAID) - perhaps their live "HATE?" performance for starters, many start with that, but anything would do - NOTE, while they call themselves a "hard rock" band, they have a LOT of genres influencing their music! Perhaps the 'Manners" and "Black Hole" for their funkier and more "metal" influences, repectively, too?
Amy lee you could hand her the phone book and have her sing the ws and it be the most beautiful thung you ever heard amy wrote this at 19 about a bad break up
Depression is no dream , Someone with this disorder comptempates suicide a little or a lot depending on one's situation. All we want is to be loved 😢 Going Under is another heavy hitter
@@RNDReacts Long Island, NY. Is it true that the Birmingham area is kinda the invisible border between the North and South of England? I have a couple of friends from Manchester and that's what I've been told haha
Amy Lee truly has a beautiful voice. Try 'Broken' by Seether and Amy Lee. If you like females with beautiful voices try Karen Carpenter of The Carpenters. IMHO the most beautiful voice of all time Try 'We've Only Just Begun', 'Close To You' or 'Superstar'.
I just want to throw out a few suggestions Of classic rock bands from the 70s that were very big ! There's a band called 'Heart' the 2 front singers are 2 sisters huge catalog ! Fleetwood Mac huge catalog , Supertramp, Santana , Rush ! Hopefully those will give you some options !? 🙏✌️
Since you’re enjoying the visuals of the video, I have a different suggestion for you than the others here. Check out “Everybody’s Fool” for one of the best sets of images and message, that fits more than ever for today.
Hearing someone say they've never heard of Evanescence is so bizarre to me. It's like hearing someone saying they've never heard of Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, or Mozart. Mind, boggled. 🤯
This song was actually written about her now-husband. Amy had been in a really bad, abusive relationship, which had been very difficult for a long time.Amy thought that she was doing a pretty good job of pretending to be OK, but Josh [Hartzler, Amy’s husband], this guy that Amy didn’t know really well but she liked a lot, we went into a restaurant while the band members were parking the car. When they sat down, he looked at her right in the eyes, and said, ‘Are you happy?’ It just caught her really off guard. Amy felt very exposed, but it felt good at the same time - like he could see her. ‘How can you see into my eyes like open doors?’”
Things were dark and gritty in the early 2000s. There was a real sense of dread in the world. Today everything is smiles and bubbles. But 20 years ago, we were in hell. And that's a good thing.
You've got to check out 'My Immortal' by Evanescence.
