Angela you've captured something really special here, it's so hard to put into words sometimes how magical Japan can be, beyond the trains and technology, the hustle and bustle, lies a people obsessed with being the best they can be. Really great video.
Happy Monday! (or Sunday depending on where you are haha) Last time I introduced delicious yet affordable sushi... ▶︎ ua-cam.com/video/6-2bRLQqy28/v-deo.html HOWEVER, if you are coming to Japan, I really recommend you to splurge a bit and try high-end sushi!! It really exceeded my expectations…
Hi Angela, firstly, great video! Your camera was so good even at the low light condition like that. Quick question, is there a place where you can have "omakase" style food but still can bring your family (kids)? Thanks again for your help :)
Wow what a great video, I love the little detail you pointet out how concentrated the sushi chefs are, even he placed the sushi he still looks at it and focus on what he's doing, awesome.
Wow! I have watched so many of yours videos, but this one is my favorite without any doubt. This really left me speechless. The harmony between the song, the filming, and your narration is really awesome. Paradoxically, I do not think that one came in this place to fill his stomach, this is much deeper. This is first and foremost a theater show: nobody talks during the scene, the sushi is embraced by a seducing darkness and any gesture of the chief is a piece of art that has taken decades to master. I love the way you manage to faithfully recreate this atmosphere in your video. I mean, if it’s what you can do with just sushi… Keep it up!
Aloha and it was very interesting watching this and made me hungry at the same Time! And yes the way you mentioned about paying respect by not talking only makes this video even better!!!
Yo, great video. The angles you got of the food was fantastic. My favorite dish visually was the Horse Mackerel. I also loved the footage you captured of the Chef making the Sardine Roll.
I really really like sushi. It's pleasant in every way. Everything complements each other The colours, flavours and everything. This video was super soothing (?) to watch. Very nice.
thanks to you, this maybe one of the best choices for me to try michelin starred restaurant for sushi, because of its price yet the atmosphere and food seem very promising.
The excellent video quality, the format you used (very accurate for this kind of place) and you respecting the atmosphere makes the video a good one to watch. おめでとうございました ^.^
Thank you for all the great videos. In October we go to Japan (YEAY!) and we got so many nice ideas from you, that we struggle now with the time management of our trip :D
Wow, it all looked so amazing! I'm usually not a fan of sea urchin either but would certainly willingly try it again from one of these top chefs. Really great video with a great respect for the atmosphere of the event and the chefs. -Jess
It's been a while since I've watched your videos, been very busy. What a great way to end my day, listening to your lovely soothing voice and seeing you go on your adventures ^^ Do you plan on exploring outside of Japan, Angela?
This video opened my eyes to a style of sushi that I never even know existed! I really want to try aged sushi and sea urchin sushi now :P. Awesome vid as usual :)
love your footage pricer than the high end sushi here in the states but I understand why haven't tried aged sushi def. interested in trying when i'm in Tokyo in October btw your doing amazing job on your video's =)
Angela... you're keeping me from visiting Japan every video you post my list gets longer and longer... :-X Just kidding.. it's my fault for not making up my mind on what i can skip .... Great work! Really good impression on the Sushi and on the Chefs.. you're right that was certainly determination to produce the best sushi he can, showing in his eyes. I am a little sad that i have less and less time atm so i can't really watch too much YT. Well what can i do against the public transport turning my route into mayhem... 4-5h a day on 6 busses is .. well a little hard..
internationally ME Seriously lucky! Sushi is the only food that I shamelessly stuff myself with so I'm looking forward to the day that I can do it with sushi of this quality
Cannot verify the restaurants addresses of Google Map as it looked like a residential area when streetview is presented. Can you give us the link with Google Map, please?
Hello! Do you know how to make reservations for both of these places? Is it through a website? I am hoping to visit Japan in the near future and want to make sure I can try some unique sushi.
Do you know how I can make reservations ahead for sushi kimura? I want to splurge a little and try high end sushi. I am going to Tokyo next month. Please let me know. :-)
Can you interview some neighbors about this thing with the family "sharing bath water"? Guess it's a home spa thing. I'd like to see some home visits of regular characters.
A friend of mine says the hardest reservation is Sushi Saito. Six months in advance reservation and he (Chef Saito) only accept customers who are regulars and know the chef personally. Crazy!
one thing that's prevented me from doing omakase is that I'm allergic to shrimp and lobster. am I out of luck in going to omakases or is there some leniency to those that are allergic?

At expensive sushi bar, we didn't pay for the Sushi itself, but for chef decades of experience.
About the aged sushi. does it mean all of it fermented and not raw / fresh ? thanks in advance Angela chan
Great video:-)
In my country they use low quality fish and still I enjoy it, imagine I could sit there face to face with that chef.
The one that was "swordfish" looks like clam?
Great video
