I helped fund this game. It was a disappointment, but here's the thing. The Kickstarter only raised enough to get the game to an alpha state and buy time for Serellan to find a publisher. The eventual publisher, 505 Games, basically forced them to rush it out the door on PC and Xbox 360 at the same time inside of one year. The sad part is that it was actually the best deal that Serellan could make at the time, because most other publishers wanted to change the project's vibe entirely, or even turn it into a free to play mobile game because that was an exploding market at the time. Epsilon, the eventual sort-of sequel, was given to backers of Takedown for free and was making strides towards including the features we all wanted, like the pre-mission planning phase and team based door breach tactics, but Serellan went insolvent before they could get the game finished. Calling it a rugpull and a scam just was not, and is not, accurate. Serellan was dealt a bad hand by the publishers of the time. I feel like the game tried to be made too early. @@capitchaI mean, if implemented properly, they could work in a tactical shooter setting:
- There could be difficulty settings where the easier difficulties have the enemy do less damage while harder ones deal a lot of damage.
- There's a small percentage of you triggering the downed mechanic when you're shot. This can sometimes be very helpful if it also comes with the ability to drag your wounded teammates out of gunfire.
@@mercenarydelta7351 It would make no sense to reduce damage in easier difficulties because damage is based off of caliber, not by the weapon stat. If you want easier difficulties it would be better to reduce AI reaction times and firing accuracy, and possibly increased likelihood to surrender. If you really still want something about health, you could just give enemies smaller caliber weapons.
Ready or not at home.
SWAT 4 is so fucking good dude damn i wish we had another one
I thought this was supposed to be more like a successor to Rainbow Six rather than SWAT? Either way, me and my mates bought it knowing it was kinda garbage because we really desperately wanted more terrorist hunt. It kept us busy for a bit despite all of its many shortcomings
Swat 4 is definitely better for what both it and ready or not are trying to achieve. Especially with elite force first responders mods. Ready or not just has the brutality and “darker” situations arguably. Love them both but man swat 4 just cannot be beaten for its age.
Even Rainbow six 3 is better. You can get it working on modern systems with a single patch
Oh it's Walmart Rainbow Six 3.
I paid a buck fifty for this game, and it was worth just about the value of a slurpee, I think
89 cents still seems like too much for this.
this game is objectively a disaster but I had so mutch fun on it when i was younger, mostly because it was dirt cheap and I love to torture myself with awful games
