Namaskaram This is Mahalakshmi aged 46. Working as yoga instructor. I'm getting irritated when I see people smoking and just give them advice without any hesitation. Also asking non vegetarian to become vegetarian reminding them about Pulaal marutthal Thiruvalluvar and Thirumandhiram etc., I'm an ardent devotee of Mahaperiyava. I worship Lord Sri Rama. When I heard Lord Rama had Mamsaahaar I felt really painful no idea why... and also got upset with the person who had spread this message in social media. Please kindly help me in this.
I may like to share two more points in alignment with what respected Smt Visakha Hari has suggested viz When a bad thought tries to make us do bad actions, to bring before our eyes the image if our Guru and how it will stop us from proceeding on the bad actions. Our kanchi Paramacharyal has suggested...that young boys at the age of 5 or 7 or 9 be ushered in to the fold of Upanayanam and the Trisandhya routine may make Gayatri enter into the minds before Kama enters. Second suggestion was we should follow the habit of wearing our customary forehead mark as applicable viz holy ash ( vibhuti) or / and Red kumkum/ thiruman . Any object becomes purest when burnt to ashes and when that remains on our forehead, our thoughts will not allow impure thoughts to enter. Likewise red colour always indicates goodness and positivity. We all should not fight shy of displaying our mark on our forehead. It protects the wearer from thinking evilnbut also the onlooker not to draw the wearer wearer of tilak to bad ways. Regards.

The things mentioned by you is presumably prevailing in many schools. It had taken me and my wife by huge surprise, when we moved back to Chennai to live together with our Parents. How do we stop those Vidwans / Artists, who presumably have their "peg" either before or after the Kutcheri / Concert? It is pretty sad that, Organizers are not able to take that bold call and say "good bye" to those, who can't adhere to basic discipline and stay way from those bad habits at least for few days before and after the event. In my opinion, people comfortably come to a state of contentedness that, it is perfectly alright ("cool" in youngsters jargon) to have these bad habits occassionally. Sad state of affairs. What if my friend is not convinced that she needs to get out of this? If she is in a company that justifies her vulnerability and convinces that it is ok to have a little of such habits to support her happiness or comfort. What if she is not convinced that she needs to give up or worse still change? What if she feels that this is old fashioned, not cool. How do you help one such friend to even understand the situation?

Very nice one what we require in the modern world. As u said kids don't listen to elders when we say some good things. This kind of programs may change the young minds. First what we require is guru. But it is lacking everywhere. Parents give importance to academic than moral and religion. Even they don't know the value of it. I honestly thank my gurus who made my children to follow the good path.

I feel extremely irritated and angry when I see elders using mobile inside the temple, some when they are standing in the queue, some after doing namaskaram they sit in the same spot and talk for long time as if they are in a park, not able to do namskaram properly. Pradakshinam podhu kooda phone ..yaaru kekaradhu. They know it s wrong... elders ipadi irunda youngsters who follow these elders also will do.. Very sad

Even for Good bhakthi and good deed parents, mainly among Brahmin family, their children although they are studying very well, getting good job, not getting into the habit of drinks, smokes or any other bad habits, are falling in love with other caste people who are totally different from our tradition and custom. Parents are forced to accept there choice with heavy heart and thus next generation are loosing to practice our custom and tradition. Please advise as parents how they should advise their children who are good in all other way, not to fall in love trap, because parents are totally believing their good natured children will not fall in love trap. How children should get the feeling that, be good to every one, but, marriage should be done only in their own caste. Day by day intercaste love marriage are increasing dramatically among brahmin family. I am not against any caste, but, each parents of respective caste and religion, definitely feel their children should get married in their own caste and lead a good life as per their custom and tradition. Your good advise in this regard to all parents and all children irrespective of caste and religion will be very useful to keep all the tradition and custom of India and lead real happy life.

நமஸ்காரம். எந்த நாமம் ஜபிப்பது என்று குழம்புகிறது எனக்கு. ராம நாம மகிமை கேட்டால் அந்த நாமம் ஜபிக்க தோன்றுகிறது. சில நாள் விட்டல நாமம் சொல்லுகிறேன். என் இஷ்ட தெய்வம் சிவன் ஆனால் ஜபம் வேறு கடவுள் நாமம் ஜபிக்கலாமா என்று குழப்பமாக உள்ளது. இதனால் சிவநாமம் மட்டுமில்லை எந்த ஒரு நாமமும் தொடர்ந்து ஜபிக்க முடியவில்லை.

I feel extremely irritated and angry when I see elders using mobile inside the temple, some when they are standing in the queue, some after doing namaskaram they sit in the same spot and talk for long time as if they are in a park, not able to do namskaram properly. Pradakshinam podhu kooda phone ..yaaru kekaradhu. They know it s wrong... elders ipadi irunda youngsters who follow these elders also will do..

Even for Good bhakthi and good deed parents, mainly among Brahmin family, their children although they are studying very well, getting good job, not getting into the habit of drinks, smokes or any other bad habits, are falling in love with other caste people who are totally different from our tradition and custom. Parents are forced to accept there choice with heavy heart and thus next generation are loosing to practice our custom and tradition. Please advise as parents how they should advise their children who are good in all other way, not to fall in love trap, because parents are totally believing their good natured children will not fall in love trap. How children should get the feeling that, be good to every one, but, marriage should be done only in their own caste. Day by day intercaste love marriage are increasing dramatically among brahmin family. I am not against any caste, but, each parents of respective caste and religion, definitely feel their children should get married in their own caste and lead a good life as per their custom and tradition. Your good advise in this regard to all parents and all children irrespective of caste and religion will be very useful to keep all the tradition and custom of India and lead real happy life.
