Super simple terrain, to flesh out the look of an area, always makes such a difference. These look great, are are so straightforward to craft. Another nice one, Jay!
These look really awesome. I love when you make these small, additional elements for a terrain. You can use them in so many different settings and I feel they really add to the atmosphere
You could probably use toilet paper dipped in watered down pva to make the tarp instead, it also adds some neat texture and the pva hardens it AND helps it stick really well.
Just found your channel and subbed straight away, as im completely new to WH and terrain crafting and does not have unlimited money, your videos are really helping alot! Best regards from Sweden.
Brilliant! I'll try making some of these as Legion terrain. I might paint some in white camouflage and sprinkle with snow effects. They'd add some much needed interest to a Hoth landscape, maybe as a rebel or Imperial depot. It's a great way to use that growing mound of spare/ left-over bits and pieces I've amassed in the garage over the years. Environmentally friendly too. :)
I heard of this kind of terrain years ago and meant to make some, then forgot. The idea back then was using actual cloth, but this is easier and cheaper, I really should make some...
This is a cool idea, I never thought to use wet wipes. I did something similar with printer paper. Took some juice cartons and blueberry containers, then draped the paper over top and ran the sink over it to make the paper soft. Folded and shaped the corners from there, carefully so I didn’t tear the paper, which it did a little in some spots but I rolled with it and was able to make it look like tears in the tarp. Used a little twine to make it look like ropes were holding the tarp down and just a quick and dirty paint job. I’m gonna try making more now like you did here, I’m happy with the big objects I made but for smaller ones, this method definitely makes the most of whatever you put underneath.
The texture is just awesome. Good idea! But I feel like it lacks just a little bit more easy-to-do details that could "sell the idea" a little bit more... [spoilers] The use of static wipes is genius. The few sandbags holding everything are great, I'd add some ropes to tie everything and make a few with half lifted covers to see what's under. Also I'd use square shaped sticks for pallets (round ones makes no sense), and maybe some diamond plate plasticard for the base (or just stick some thin cardboard rectangles / shapes) to add even more texture. Details, details everywhere!
In Dark Matter Workshop's video I mention he makes some straps and they look great. Oddly in the two videos I mention they do everything you talk about. So Dark Matter workshop does straps and diemond plate texture card. And RFD does proper pallets using lolly pop sticks. I do like details but I was trying to pair this one back to simplicity and low cost and easy :)
@@stillunsure7630 I didn't explain, I just find painting wood difficult, so if you use popsicle sticks or something, people will often just not paint them or put a wash on it.
Now I wanna do à whole bunch of these plus some unclothed and half clothed and some containers and have a semi modular gaming table based on an army base.

For sure, the little details highlight the big stuff you have worked on, I think as it makes it feel more real. Thanks :)
Those crates are brilliant and I love how simple they were to make. I’ll definitely be having a go at some of these 👍
Thanks, they fit my wheel house perfectly, simple, easy and effective! Good luck :)

Paper towels wouldn't crumble apart just draping them, would work better, but wet wipes are probably altogether better that either
I did consider dipping it in pva but I just felt like it would be messy but for sure paper towels would be okay, so would like an old t-shirt etc

Pleasure to have you, happy to help in any way I can :) Thanks
Those are neat terrain features! I like the idea and you did a great job on them. Thanks for sharing this tutorial.
My pleasure as always :)
Dudee! Love your videos! I'm new in crafting, but you made my life easier
i love this idea! you could even use this for fantasy beause it leaves the contents inside to your imagination
This is AMAZING man! Such simple ideas and materials, looks realistic and doesn't cost $30 to buy. really good stuff, thank you!
Thanks, yeah I think this is the kind of stuff that anyone can make and improve a table. Thanks :)

Yeah I think they work in anything modern plus really. Thanks and good luck :)
I was thinking of things to puts in the battlefield that had that military feel to it and OH BOY THIS IS GENIOUS!! Great vid!
Thanks, yeah it can be like milatary or just general industrial. Thanks :)

It can work to use cloth if you have like an old t-shirt. It is pretty darn easy! I do recoomend it :)
@@TerrainMadeEasy I have old cloth laying around. I know what my future build is gonna be when I finish my bunker.
@@harazhangf5782 yeah any cloth should be okay really
@@TerrainMadeEasy Good to know.
This is an absolute winner of an idea. Thank you so much for all your content and showing me how to make my table look heaps better.
I am happy but I can't take credit for the idea, but I wanted to show it off in an easy way. I am thrilled to have helped :)
@@TerrainMadeEasy as far as I'm concerned you put out the best diy terrain vids keep up the awesome work!
@@owen9684 Thank you very kindly :) will do :)

Yeah and the good thing is, you can almost put anything underneath and creat einteresting shapes :)
Genius!
I’ll be borrowing this technique for sure!
Thanks, the idea has been around for yonks but I enjoyed showing how simple it can be!
Brilliant tutorial, thanks 👍
Thank you kindly.
Clever and nicely done. Thx for sharing!
Thanking you :)
I love this idea. I will definitely be doing this build soon. Thanks for another great video!
Aboslutely my pleasure, thanks
Thats actually looks pretty great! Very good idea, again!
Not my original idea but I do think the results and shortcuts show you can have decent looking stuff pretty easily!
The texture is just awesome. Good idea!

i simply loved it but you were using scissors upwards (or downward idk hah). nice idea those crates!!
heh I am awkward as things are, I am worse when filming :)
Love this idea, brilliant!
Thank you! 😊
Awesome build mate.
Thank you very kindly :)
They look so good!
Thank you very much :)
these look excellent!
This is SUCH a good idea! Why work harder than you have to?
I can't take credit for the idea but I do agree with not working hard unless it is needed!
Loving these videos, this is a great idea
Thank you very much :)
This is super clever
I can't take credit for the idea but happy to show it off :)
Oh I'm gonna make so many of these! 😇
Looks great mate.
Get on it Steve :)
@@TerrainMadeEasy #SoonTM 😉
Might make wooden palettes! 🤔
@@stillunsure7630 I find the issue would be painting them, you'd have to not spray!
@@TerrainMadeEasy how so?

Might have to try these, I can’t really say no can I? Because of the implication…
I love you works

Please, what's the Titanium(?) colour you kept mentioning?
Buff Titanium, it's a proper like artist colour. Basically it is an off white with a slight yellow tinge!
@@TerrainMadeEasy Ahh thanks, I'll see if I can find it
@@dungeonmaster9689 It doesn't have to be that colour, but it's nice to have an off white like it in the tool kit, iuse it all the time :)
