- Another vintage Hoover from the 1970's, 1974 to be exact. This Celebrity Custom is a fairly rare beast in the UK as it had a relatively short production run even though the Celebrity range was available for a lot longer in the USA where this cleaner was manufactured.
Our second favourite Hoover Celebrity, Roger being our first!
Ahhh, I’m so excited to see this vacuum again on your channel. It’s the first vacuum I ever used as a kid. The original accent color was a cream color…same color as all the tools. It was a solid machine and lasted us for decades. Such good memories!!
My grandmother had an orange Celebrity which floated on air like a Constellation. I loved it! The design made it lovely and manoeuvrable on carpets but lethal on hard floors, like a curling stone which would slam into your ankles and take you out!
Very beautiful Celebrity
Love this vacuum cleaner
Great unboxing and 1st look Roger 👍👍👍
Very good video Roger 💯
11.45 amps
woah never seen a commercial chrome one!
In regard to the wipe, just don't flush it down the toilet/loo as there are probably lift pumps along the sewer lines and they don't handle those wipes well. The woodgrain decal is similar to the Rainbow D3 pattern and probably what was on the Eureka power nozzles on previous models. Funny enough, the D3, according to Rexair, was released in the early 1980s.
Hello Roger. Thanks for the video. Lovely model but a shame about not having the original tools. That MK Safetyplug is from the 70s. They had sleeved pins even in the 70s , hence " Safetyplug."
11:22 were the tires made to be removable for hard floor and carpet cleaning? put rubber on so you dont scratch your flooring? they seem like they were meant to slide off so easily and there is no adhesive holding them.
Roger, I didn't actually know that you're changing your name to George, and in as a matter of fact, both of these names are American identified, for Heaven's sake.
I am not changing my name and if I did (which I won’t) I would pick a better name than George. I was talking about the ebay seller that kept calling me George for some reason. The name Roger is German in origin and George is of Greek origin.
@@ibaisaic Oh, I thought I heard you say that you were gonna be called, George, but You're still Roger! Gotcha!
Can it fit a power head attachment when cleaning the carpet
No.
That wood veneer… rather dated… and yet…! My pet hate in cars these days is gloomy black plastic interiors. I loved cream leather interiors with polished wood veneer, it made the interior much lighter, but these days it’s all fake aluminium or carbon fibre and shiny black plastic over the console which attracts fingerprints. I’m coming out in favour of more wood veneer and leather in cars and on vacuum cleaners!
looks like a big fat roomba
Nice find. I have the floating hover celebrity in yellow.
