i realized that I neglected to insert photos of arm swatches for a couple of the palettes and so created this website page showing swatches for all 11 of the palettes. livingclean.info/2024/07/10/ysl-couture-mini-clutch-eyeshadow-quads-arm-swatches/
Also, some of the shades in the video are labeled with the wrong numbers (but the right names). The numbers in the information box here on UA-cam and on the website page are accurate, to my understanding.

I’m 50 and I suffer from the same problem but I really enjoyed to see the over noir on you. I like cool tones but normally not greys but you picked my interest with this palette. Also the palmeraie skies was a pleasant surprise.

Thank you for the very detailed presentation with all the background information! So far I don't own a YSL Quad, but I'm a bit interested in the new Pastel Quad, but I have to say that I'd rather have a turquoise, green or blue shade in there than the red at the bottom right. As YSL are not usually a bargain I will wait and see if I can check it out in a local store.
All the best to you and your adorable dog ,
    Maria

They certainly are expensive! I do think that the formula is working unusually well for me, but I would guess that there will be other companies that come out with similarly good formulas at a more reasonable price at some point in the near future. I agree that a turquoise/green/blue shade would make me a lot more excited about buying the Pastel palette. Thanks for watching! ❤

I really love that one and now have been inspired to do kind of a deep dive on blue eyeshadows in general, which should be even more fun. Thanks much for watching! ❤

I loved both the Palmerai and Spontini palettes on you (please forgive spelling errors). I agree that the blue takes me to the seventies in a very good way. Thanks for showing varied levels of intensity..

Thanks so much - I do especially like those two palettes too. I'm starting to work on a blue eyeshadow video, hopefully to be posted soon! ❤

    Great informative video Lisa.
I think all the colors are lovely. I especially like the kabash spice. I have tried other YSL products in the past & liked them. I am leaning toward getting this one. I also think the colors you thought didn't or wouldn't look good on you...they did.

It really is surprising how all of those eyeshadows look good enough on me that I actually like wearing them! ❤

Thank you for this wonderful review! My favorite looks that you did were the over noir and the palmaerie skies, of course! The Greys and silvers with the red lipstick was stunning! I very much enjoyed the information about where the palette names came from.
You mentioned not many people have talked about the blue palette… Sophia sees Beauty has a great review on it, if you haven’t seen that one.

I did see this great review of the Palmaraie Skies palette from Sofia Sees Beauty last year - she said that one of her subscribers from France got it for her. But I haven't seen anyone else mention that palette since it became available in the U.S., oddly. Probably I should do a whole video on my favorite blue eyeshadows, just for fun. Thanks much for your comment! ❤

Nice info I never knew. Interesting how one quad fell apart. Could be the texture or consistency like you said? I remember a beauty YTuber showing about 6 eyeshadow crayons/ creams. She mentioned how they all broke off the stick or crumbled . She stated it’s “ really hard to make a great eyeshadow stick “ I always thought it meant it was not made well ( VB STICKS IMO) but I think like the quads are like that due to being light with cream/ powder consistency ?
Haven’t tried these , but the blue looks beautiful . Thx! ( I saw THE NEECESSAIRE) released a body vitc on their website yesterday . Looks nice, but priced high .
    Hello to the pup 🎉🎉

This is an intersting formula in that it almost seems like pie crust dough to me, in terms of how it pulls apart but can be patted back together. It is an unusual texture, but I would not say that there is a formula problem here, as far as I have experienced or heard from other people. I do think there was a packaging failure in that the inserts with the shadows were not glued into the container - I don't think that my shadow would have broken if it hadn't fallen on the floor as a result of not being glued in.
I think I will try out a lot of different eyeshadow sticks and see how they do for me. It does seem harder than one might think to make a good one.
I would be willing to try Necessaire Vitamin C but I don't know that I really need that very much. Maybe if I wait for a while, I can get it as part of a sale.
      Thanks for your comments! ❤

Interesting video thankyou. I am still not game enough to use eyeshadows but your videos tempt me .
Can I also ask as you mention your concealers have you used RMS concealer?. I know you love RMS blushes but don't think I have heard you mention their concealer. Plus I like the blushes you used in the last part of videos. Not sure what they were but they were stick, not powder. Thankyou Lisa.

RMS makes a cream concealer in a pot that is very nice. I don't think that makes a good eyelid primer though. For that, I have been using a water-based concealer in a tube - Saie or Kosas or Haus Labs. I know that I used the new Haus Labs blush in Glassy Pomelo for some of these looks - I really like it! go.shopmy.us/p-6224356. I may have used a Westman Atelier blush stick at one point, I can't remember for sure. ❤
