I’m 52 and have made the switch to luxury shadows. They look so much better on my “mature” face… my favorite of these is #100 stora dolls. If you want to sample more luxury the new cle de peau quads are phenomenal. As you age you might find you prefer these formulas.
❤ Cle de Peau and Suqqu quads are great! It’s why I am never tempted when brands come out with Neutral makeup. Sure, they may be pretty but are they as effortless as those quads? The answer is always no. I just wish they were easier to get a hold of.
The older I get, the more I get into luxury makeup. I don’t buy anymore drugstore anymore because for me I feel like luxury performs better, plus it also makes me feel more special. Lol. But that is important too…
i have stora dolls and babylon roses, and i find these palettes to be even more intense than chanel and tom ford. ysl would be a great transition brand if you’re coming from natasha or pmg. i’ve stopped buying natasha and pmg and made the switch to chanel, tom ford (only the wet dry formula), dior, and ysl. i’m not after impact and highly pigmented color anymore - i love the sophisticated, understated elegance these luxury palettes give. there’s something about luxury formulas that high end and drugstore brands just can’t dupe.
Stora Dolls is so beautiful. It is pricey but I feel like the final looks are so polished. I’d rather pay more for a palette like this than buy less expensive palettes I’ll only use sporadically.
@@MorganTurnerMakeup They’re very expensive but you can buy the refills separately from the cases (I bought the cases because I’m a little bougie, but you can save money if you want to.) Definitely luxury style makeup so wouldn’t be your vibe if super pigment/blinding shimmers are the goal but they are so sophisticated and long wearing! Very flattering.
3 gorgeous looks done with 3 stunning palettes! The warm one is my favourite if I should buy it. But on you - the taupe one, it looks gorgeous on you! When it comes to luxury makeup I believe that you’re paying for the whole experience not only the product. 💕
YSL eye shadows are smooth and blend easily.I have several of their palettes, my favorite ones are the blue and lavender ones.I also have a YSL clutch palette. Cute eye looks!
If you had to recommend one palette to have, which one would that be? Brand wise I'm pretty open. I too am a black women with deep skin and haven't bought one because I'm concerned if it's pigmented enough to show up at all. 😊 But I love satin eyeshadow so I think formula wise they would be right up my alley.
Pat McGraft or Natasha Denona are my favorite brands. I like Klarity and Unearthly Cosmetics for excellent pigmentation ,Sydney Grace does great satin eye shadows for a good price. @@LEbackstage
Everything is spot on with these quads and the packaging, so small and cute, helps too. The formula is the softest blown out shadow ever. I also love these for eye liner and wing- looks very effortless, flattering and not harsh at all.

Hi Morgan! My gold glittery shade also fell out from Kasbah Spices upon arrival lol luckily Sephora sent a replacement. Medina Glow is a gorgeous quad, kinda similar to Patrick Ta MD 2 Rose palette but I love it! I swatched Spontini Lillies at Neiman and it has this amazing iridescent pinky shade 💖. Love your videos!
Love the PR box! My fav formula! My fav color is the warm toned one. However I agree with your viewers: the fall out of the glittery color is insane. It goes everywhere. I stopped using it, it was disappointing because another influencer described it as a sort of colorless shimmer that could be used on top of every other color. I was intrigued and purchased it for that reason. Still love the palette though and think about purchasing another one. The taupe one could easily be substituted by Denonas nude palette though.

I love my Ysl quad (Medina glow) they're so effortless to use, super smooth and soft and i get compliments for the look every time i use it. I'm 43 now, i just feel like many eyeshadow look and feel dry sometimes. Not with this one. Definitely going to pick up more. In the end: with discount i pay 10€ for each eyeshadow pan.. that's less than we used to pay for Mac, back in the day 😄
I loved the 100 quad. I use glitter glue on all my looks because i love all that shines. The mattes blended themselves. I sophisticated look in 5 mins. I love the quality.

The packaging is fantastic, and I really would like to purchase … Although last year, I had purchased one of the Dior nine pan pallets, it was the khaki color story. Both you and my other favorite make up influencer. Charlotte also loved that one. I ordered it from the Dior website, which just makes it all the more special because they give you this beautiful little white embossed drawstring bag. Unfortunately, I hated the pallet … there was no pigment to the shadows. Several were toppers that are just a waste to have more than one in a small pallet. I was annoyed that I did not return it from my $70 I believe it was .. I am terrible at returns. So, with this being said, I am hesitant to order the YSL … but I really want it even though we have these shades over and over. It’s just so pretty though…
I have the stora dolls #100 palette and there isn’t any fallout of the glittery shadow. I have Tom fords nude dip which is a very similar color story, and TF shadows are my fav of all time, but I needed this also once I swatched it. I may be more in love with this formula than my beloved TF wet to dry formula. It is so soft and effortless. It is not for someone who wants a very bright or super glittery eye. I have those types of shadows also, but I actually prefer the ysl, TF, Dior and cle de peau shadows. But ND I need a nude and glam palette are also favs.

In Canada I was not able,to purchase YSlL mini clutch eyeshadow palette… I tried to buy them in USA and UK… not available for shipping…I’m so disappointed I really wanted #100 mostly and possibly #300… I am boycotting YSL from now on… Dior has a very similar one to # 100…. l’ll stick to Dior,Channel,Cle de peau and Ford,Givenchy etc.. they don’t discriminate countries from buying “exclusivity”
I like the formula of these shadows. Once the shadow is on, do I really notice a major difference between the YSL or other less pricey shadows of the same color?? - probably no. But, the performance of these shadows is awesome, so smooth and silky and a pleasure to apply. I think I’m going to get one of the warmer ones, maybe Babylone Roses…

I have both. YSL Stora Dolls has my heart, hook, line and sinker. TF Is very pretty but one shade dried up on me pretty fast, so my vote goes to YSL. Plus, packaging is so cute!
imho the only tom ford palettes that are worth it are the wet dry formula ones (the ones stamped “TF.”) the other palettes just hardpan easily. the closest wet dry tom ford to stora dolls would be nude dip. i have both but now prefer stora dolls to nude dip.
I got 100 Stora dolls mine fell apart the whole pan fell from the compact when I opened it the day it was shipped I felt so jipped cause this is supose to be luxury and then you get it and it falls apart and cracks the shade needless to say when I bought it Stora dolls was the most popular and sold out and Sephora couldn't send a new one but I do really want Babalyon roses that one is so pretty and doesn't look as glittery as the 100 more metallic. I am so jealous u got that PR the package it came in is everything.
Yep, I got Stora from Bloomingdales months ago, and the whole pan fell out. They said they would refund my money but later reneged. Still bitter about that, because my first attempt at regluing failed. Pervasive problem with their glue.

Sephora did refund my money and told me to keep it and I still have it but my attempt at glueing failed and the top right shade broke . It's so annoying when you buy luxery and that's what u get. I mean ontop of the packaging issues they didn't even wrap it up or anything it was at the top of the box on top of the paper they put in it ? Like what good does that do to protect the product. I got SK11 essense from Stylevanna and Sephora needs to take note from them on their packaging it was wrapped over over and over again in bubble wrap taped all up then wrapped again and it was in a box that fit the box not a huge box with a smaller item so it can bang around. I think that's crappy of Bloomingdales the money should have been refunded. That would make me not shop their anymore cause what if you get screwed out of more money and it's not like u lied these pallets have been complained about over and over suposedly taken off the shelf to fix the problem but oviously not cause I got it when it released at Sephora again on the first day like a month or so ago and mine did the same thing . Makeup peeps, question. When you apply mascara, do you use your dominant had for both eyes or do you use your other hand? I am right handed and for the life of me, cannot use my right hand to apply! Need to use my left :-D Like if you use same hand, comment if you are weird like me!
I'm ambidextrous and I use my left hand for the left side of my face and my right hand for the right side. I actually cannot apply eyeliner across my body, I have to use the corresponding hand
I don’t remember what UA-camr I watch who said it, but I heard that winged eyeliner is how you can tell someone is a millennial because the younger generations don’t do winged liner. I don’t care! I won’t be giving my winged eyeliner up 🤣
I don’t care what anyone says- packaging matters. The golds/ blacks/ polished surfaces make one feel so luxury. But the tea is - they gottaaaa perform well
The volume of all inventory for all cosmetics is huge- the luxury class should be compared to similar priced items- Dior, Givenchy, Guerlain, Chanel, Pat McG etc. Lovely smooth shadows, beautiful packaging and high prices and yet sometimes we still get duds and lower quality application. Anybody explain this? I know I can but it’s very technical and can confuse a consumer more. 😊
PMG gets a lot of hate for releasing pinky nudes and neutral browns but YSL does the exact same and I dont remember any of PMG eyeshadows falling out of the packaging.
Luxury isn't for the bang of color that (often) Natasha Denona and indie brands offer. These are soft spoken, elegant, non-garish, and have a slight twinkle. I love it... but literally wear color on my eyes everyday. Not for me ❤
This is the time of year to BUY luxury makeup. This last week I purchased two of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palettes (one is a gift), plus that cool brush with the snake on it. Also purchased two different sets of the Rephr brushes AND another Pat McGrath Mothership palette. The sales are sooooo good from these companies that I just have to take full advantage! (And way better than the Sephora sale, although I did buy a few things ... like the new Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Palette.) If I want something on the pricey side, I will usually wait until these Black Friday sales ... they are so worth it.
I've never been as jealous of PR packaging than I am right now.
Same I wish YSL would let consumers buy that box because I would love to use them as storage boxes in my beauty room 🥹

I have both. YSL Stora Dolls has my heart, hook, line and sinker. TF Is very pretty but one shade dried up on me pretty fast, so my vote goes to YSL. Plus, packaging is so cute!

imho the only tom ford palettes that are worth it are the wet dry formula ones (the ones stamped “TF.”) the other palettes just hardpan easily.
the closest wet dry tom ford to stora dolls would be nude dip. i have both but now prefer stora dolls to nude dip.

I have 4 quads and 3 are already loose and would fall if I turn them upside down (so I avoid doing this ☺️) issues with glue for sure.

I got 100 Stora dolls mine fell apart the whole pan fell from the compact when I opened it the day it was shipped I felt so jipped cause this is supose to be luxury and then you get it and it falls apart and cracks the shade needless to say when I bought it Stora dolls was the most popular and sold out and Sephora couldn't send a new one but I do really want Babalyon roses that one is so pretty and doesn't look as glittery as the 100 more metallic. I am so jealous u got that PR the package it came in is everything.
Yep, I got Stora from Bloomingdales months ago, and the whole pan fell out. They said they would refund my money but later reneged. Still bitter about that, because my first attempt at regluing failed. Pervasive problem with their glue.

Sephora did refund my money and told me to keep it and I still have it but my attempt at glueing failed and the top right shade broke . It's so annoying when you buy luxery and that's what u get. I mean ontop of the packaging issues they didn't even wrap it up or anything it was at the top of the box on top of the paper they put in it ? Like what good does that do to protect the product. I got SK11 essense from Stylevanna and Sephora needs to take note from them on their packaging it was wrapped over over and over again in bubble wrap taped all up then wrapped again and it was in a box that fit the box not a huge box with a smaller item so it can bang around.
I think that's crappy of Bloomingdales the money should have been refunded. That would make me not shop their anymore cause what if you get screwed out of more money and it's not like u lied these pallets have been complained about over and over suposedly taken off the shelf to fix the problem but oviously not cause I got it when it released at Sephora again on the first day like a month or so ago and mine did the same thing . I don't blame u for being bitter that's what kept me from buying the other one I wanted I have had plenty of chances and want it but I'm weary of getting another one with issues.

Makeup peeps, question. When you apply mascara, do you use your dominant had for both eyes or do you use your other hand? I am right handed and for the life of me, cannot use my right hand to apply! Need to use my left :-D Like if you use same hand, comment if you are weird like me!
I’m left handed and use both hands. Same hand as the eye I am applying 😊

I'm ambidextrous and I use my left hand for the left side of my face and my right hand for the right side. I actually cannot apply eyeliner across my body, I have to use the corresponding hand

The golds/ blacks/ polished surfaces make one feel so luxury.

The volume of all inventory for all cosmetics is huge- the luxury class should be compared to similar priced items- Dior, Givenchy, Guerlain, Chanel, Pat McG etc. Lovely smooth shadows, beautiful packaging and high prices and yet sometimes we still get duds and lower quality application. Anybody explain this? I know I can but it’s very technical and can confuse a consumer more. 😊

PMG gets a lot of hate for releasing pinky nudes and neutral browns but YSL does the exact same and I dont remember any of PMG eyeshadows falling out of the packaging.
I thought the same thing! All of these shades are shades that I have from my PML palettes.
Luxury isn't for the bang of color that (often) Natasha Denona and indie brands offer. These are soft spoken, elegant, non-garish, and have a slight twinkle. I love it... but literally wear color on my eyes everyday. Not for me ❤
This is the time of year to BUY luxury makeup. This last week I purchased two of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palettes (one is a gift), plus that cool brush with the snake on it. Also purchased two different sets of the Rephr brushes AND another Pat McGrath Mothership palette. The sales are sooooo good from these companies that I just have to take full advantage! (And way better than the Sephora sale, although I did buy a few things ... like the new Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Palette.) If I want something on the pricey side, I will usually wait until these Black Friday sales ... they are so worth it.
