This was a nice walkthrough I always love Morocco Pavilion on a sunny day still waiting for a movie where Morocco is the location, all the other Pavilions have their own movies
The Morocco Pavilion has a very unique history. The Pavilion was paid for personally by the King of Morocco. His Majesty flew talented personally selected Moroccan artisans to Epcot so they could cut and place each piece of mosaic tile and colored glass by hand. Due to the Minaret and historic architecture, there are no "tiny lights" attached to the corners of the buildings such as the tiny lights on the buildings in the UK and Canada Pavilions. It makes a huge difference now that there are no Cultural Ambassadors (International College Program Castmembers) at the Morocco Pavilion. I hope that they will return soon. In the past, it added so much for Guests to wander through the Souk, to have Rosewater sprinkled on their hands and to learn about Morocco first hand from the Moroccan Castmembers. The hot Mint Tea (Morocco's National Drink) and Baklava at the now closed bakery at the back of the Tangerine Cafe used to be yummy. To the left of the now empty Restaurant Marrakech, there are 13 bronze discs mounted high on the exterior wall. This feature is a recreation of a Medieval Moroccan clock. In the original clock, water filled each bronze disc - and the water reflected in the Sunlight told Moroccans roughly what time of day it was. Unlike the lighter coloured clay exteriors on the buildings near the front of the Morocco Pavilion, the baked red clay on the walls of Restaurant Marrakech is more typical of buildings found in the hotter areas of Morocco. The red colour is much easier on the eyes than white buildings in the blazing desert Sun. As an aside, I do wish that Disney would make some sort of effort to let Guests know that Aladdin and Jasmine are not from Morocco. They "fly in" each day from SAUDI ARABIA - a Country more than 3,000 miles to the east of Morocco on a completely different Continent.... Thanks for sharing this video. As always, the relaxing pace and video quality are Stellar! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
🐫Luv,luv, luv the lagoon shots! This pavilion will be special to me for it was the first one we had an international meal at & the entertainment was included. What tree in the back was that man carefully examining? (Was he going to prune?🤔) Not sure if I'll ever make it to this country, but this pavilion's in-depth theming brings out the best of its architecture, that's for sure. Nice capture 4💜
That’s so cool Liz! I’ve never eaten at any of the restaurants here, but eventually I’m gonna have to try something lol. I think that guy and his family were trying to pick up a really big gecko, at least that’s what it looked like when I walked by😂 . I won’t ever visit Morocco in my life probably, so this wonderful pavilion will have to do! Thanks so much Liz!!
Shukran 4K!! I’d thought of being intrusive in asking about a walk through of this pavilion…getting back toward the back really isolates one from Epcot as a whole and immerses one in Morocco. The Fez House is a place that I go when I need to get away from being over-stimulated. I hope for a great replacement for Restaurant Marrakesh…it was a hidden gem of a place to eat (such good food!!). I wish they would bring back more of the market shops throughout the pavilion..maybe I’m remembering wrong, but I thought there were a couple of shops back in the midst of the pavilion itself, in addition to the Souk out on the World Showcase Promenade (in The Brass Bazzar, Lamps of Wonder, Tangier Traders). Wondering what is going on behind the planters…those were there back in April, my last visit.
Oh you can always ask if you want something filmed Rick!! I completely agree, the back of this pavilion is literally the most immersive place in Epcot honestly. And you are right, there were a couple more shops in the back but they’re closed now for some reason. I think I filmed back a couple years back in a previous Morocco walkthrough! Thanks so much as always!!
The Morocco pavilion is so underrated. Some people might not find it interesting but we do. We've eaten at the restaurant a couple of times and the food was always good. Plus, you get a show. Saw a comment the restaurant hasn't reopened. Too bad. Great job covering this pavilion!
I agree, this pavilion is honestly the most immersive place in Epcot for me! It completely takes me out of the park and I forget that I’m in a theme park for a while lol. Yes, the restaurant hasn’t reopened and I’m not sure it ever will at this point. Not sure what’s going on there, but it’s a shame. Thanks for watching as always!
I've always thought of what type of attraction could go into this pavilion. Maybe a ride thru the country's history in a trackless vehicle with some cool animatronics. I know just dreaming..lol Superb walk thru 4K.
I would love something like that too Andrew! I’m sure if a ride ever gets built here, it would be something with Aladdin and honestly that would be cool with me. This pavilion definitely needs some kind of an attraction. I’ll even be happy if they bring that Aladdin walkthrough they have in Disneyland Paris over here
Morocco was my favorite pavilion on my brief Epcot visit, probably because it’s so beautiful and quiet ❤ Do those boats take you around the lagoon or do they leave the park?
I believe that boat shown in particular just crosses the center lake. There are boats going to most of the hotels, but I believe that all depart from the International Gateway. I could be wrong on all this, so please anyone with better info feel free to correct me on this...
Hi 4K. VERY much enjoyed this video of a very interesting pavilion. I've not walked through much of it, but your video makes me wish I had. I've always been impressed with the architecture and winding alleyways, etc. Appreciate the way you showed all of the details and took us down those small "streets". When you looked out over the lake, I did not see any of the residual eyesores from the barges. So thankful bargemonious is gone - the lake is a beautiful part and attraction of Epcot. Can't imagine a better tour of Morocco than this one - thanks for your great work!
I’m always happy to hear you enjoyed the video Ken, thank you!! Morocco has always been so underrated in my opinion. It’s actually one of the most immersive parts of the park for me! That back area really makes me forget that I’m in Epcot, or in a theme park in general! It really is so great to no longer have those barges out in the lagoon😃
Mauvaise impression du Maroc. Le site paraît sale mal entretenu. L'artisanat marocaine mal exposé . Il n'y a pas de restaurant comme on trouve dans les autres pavillons.cest dommage dommage

The only thing missing (and unfortunately) is Restaurant Marrakesh. One of the most underrated restaurants Epcot has, and it REALLY needs to return!
I’m so surprised that restaurant hasn’t reopened yet! Not sure what the deal is with that
That place is massive! Amazing
Morocco 🇲🇦 is land of peace ✌️ 🙏
Welcome you all to our peaceful nation 😊 🙏

Based on Disney’s love of IP, it would probably be Aladdin
An attraction would bring that area to life. I miss hearing the Morocco Pavilion Band with Archie. He was great at getting the crowd into the mood.

I used to rush past this pavilion when I was young but now I know better. The vibe here is awesome and it’s a great place to catch your breath
Yes, it’s also one of my favorite spots to take a break from the crowds! Thanks for watching Mike!! 😃
Hi Mike. I made the same mistake! I love the movie at France so I would normally just walk by. This was a great video to see what I'd missed.
Morocco is a wonderful country to visit. I've been there 5 times! Go! You'll enjoy the wonderful Berber hospitality!
I really like this pavilion and its marketplace!
@4K WDW Awsomee ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ GREAT Video 😊 😉 👍

@@tinkershell1856 My Pleasure 😊
That boat in particular only takes you back and forth between Morocco and the Canada pavilion!
@@4KWDW thank you! That’s a nice way to get across. I forget how huge Epcot is!

Spicy
Thanx for posting this one K. It doesn’t get as much attention as some of the more western pavilions, but it is just as deserving. 🍿🍿🍿
No problem Scott! I agree, Morocco is extremely underrated and honestly one of the most immersive parts of Epcot to me!
Calling it; Indy ride coming to Morocco.
Never mind ☹
Still can't believe the Fountain of Nations is gone. What were they thinking?? 🤷♂️
None of the dishes were Moroccan actually. They dont eat hummus, dolmas etc.
Mauvaise impression du Maroc. Le site paraît sale mal entretenu. L'artisanat marocaine mal exposé .
