What I love about this watch is that it isn’t trying. You could wear this with a suit and you could wear this with shorts and Birkenstocks and a black T-shirt and it would go perfect with both.
I bought this watch with the excuse of wearing it on my daughter’s baptism with a blue suit and it instantly became my favorite timepiece of my humble collection. It runs slow around 2-5 seconds per week which is pretty good for a watch that price. The blue dial looks different in different lights and when close to a body of water. Great piece
That’s concerning. Why would it lose seconds during a week when it’s supposed to not lose any seconds, and only gain five seconds at the most of how many seconds it’s capable to gain in a day to conform to the standard of the Master Chronometer that is being told to people? Why didn’t you mention how much time it gains, and only mentioned how much time it loses?
Thinking of picking up the black version to go with my blue 300m. I’d have to sell my Speedy 1861 though to raise the funds, but I’ve barely worn it over the last year.
I have a Sub and a white SMP300. I recently bought this watch and, good grief, it's bloody lovely! The blue changes with the light and the bezel looks black at night. It's a stunning piece and my favourite in my collection. Great review and subbed.
Nicely articulated. I own the black Seamaster 300 Pro Diver blk and love it but agree this model is a bit more versatile. I'm sold on this refreshed 2021 Seamaster 300 but currently trying to decide on the blue or black dial. Leaning black but blue is stunning and already have the Pro in black. Not an easy decision!
I really like the idea of the anti-magnetic sapphire crystal! Great review, actually fell for the black version a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it. Your point on the crystal is spot on, I‘ve never seen a domed sapphire that distorts light so well, almost like a hesalite. Way better than the Black Bays. And Omega have managed to get rid of the ever present white ring.
Hey James another great review! I love that watch but a daily for me has to have a date. Great weekend or holiday watch for certain. Congratulations love the blue👍
Excellent review. Your reviews are always very informative with excellent video and analysis. Beautiful watch matching the movement. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. I am thinking about buying this watch and this has helped a great deal. I will go for the leather with black dial - the polish links on bracelets are not really for me. I tried it on at the AD and makes the watch sit better but I think the links make it too flashy and the easier scratching I don’t think I could put up with. You have a new subscriber Sir.
Amazing video, thank you so much. This watch is not featured enough. If you could either make a video or comment on your opinion of this watch versus something like a submariner or GMT master that would be awesome, having a hard time deciding. Thanks!
I just purchased this Watch, and I absolutely love it and agree with your analysis. I have previously owned a Rolex Submariner. I absolutely loved my Rolex Submariner, this is the only Omega i’ve seen and now have owned that is equal to and in my opinion exceeds the beauty of the Rolex Sub. The movement in the Omega is superior to the Rolex. The exhibition caseback is so beautiful. The Bracelet on the Omega has finally caught up to the beautiful Oyster Bracelet of the Rolex. I absolutely love the Domed Sapphire of the Omega with the Sandwich Dial which just as is stated here provides a unique depth to the dial that you just can’t appreciate without seeing it in person. Lastly, the lollipop second hand is so great. A downside for me on the Rolex was always the Ceramic Bezel. It’s just way too flashy and blingy for a Dive Watch in my opinion. It always looked too plastic for me. In the end beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and in no way am I saying the Rolex is terrible. It’s not! The Rolex Submariner is a beautiful Watch. However for my money I love this Omega Seamaster 300 just that much more.
James, what are your thoughts of this one vs the Tudor BB58 as a first luxury watch? I'm down to these two and wanted to know about your thoughts having experience w/ both.
Omega is finished to a higher degree, gone through more testing and is a better brand overall it’s a no brainer for me. I love the BB58 though. It’s about what you like to be fair
Great Review!! Congratulation! Your points are right on regarding, Bracelet, Dial, Anti-reflective coating, Bezel Ring! I am looking for a Swiss Watch to round out my Average Collection. I keep going back and forth, from 300MProf. to Brosnan watch. Its bit more, however, this piece is nearly perfect. The blue is gorgeous, however, I'm leaning towards the black. I do not want to play the Rolex Game. However, the Tudor Ceramic is a real unique piece.
No it's more of a vintage Submariner homage than a Submariner killer. At least it looks nicer than the other Seamaster. Omega is at its best as a vintage homage watchmaker.
Too old "look like" watch for me: I always buy à watch of "its time". And not a kind of "ré design". Except for non discontinued and improved design of icons such as the submariner, porsch 911 etc...
I really dislike the secondhand. The previous arrow hand was much sleeker, this looks out of place. I wish they didn't make that change because I think it was perfect.
There was definite back play in that bezel, there is in mine and there is in all others I've seen. Not sure why you say the was no movement when it's plain to see there was.
@@adrianobanak2824 looks are subjective. Omega is a good watch but the quality definitely is not on the level of Rolex. Practically all their bracelets on all models are crap. Same with clasps. I’ve owned the new speedy and a new aqua terra and can attest, especially compared to Rolex. I’ve also handled friends seamasters and planet oceans and older speedy’s. Same thing. I don’t know about the Ed white bracelet though. Haven’t handled one yet. Also, the crown on the aqua Terra’s are crap compared to Rolex. The speedy crown wasn’t that bad though.
@@philo2197 with all due respect you are biased and talking crap. Rolex had stamped TIN in their clasps until 7-8 years ago and Omega had machined from a block of steel 25 yers ago. Also, Rolex had hollow middle links and f...g drilled lugs....like cheap Seiko's. Today, their bracelets are equaly good. Only thing that's better on Rolex bracelets today is extension clasps on some models.
@@adrianobanak2824 it’s my opinion, not bias, and I’m sorry it hurt your feelings. Rolex had stamped tin clasps more than eight years ago. Nice try though. We are talking today, this moment. Bracelets and clasps are better and this channel even talks about that on multiple videos. Facts.
I think this is Omegas best diver - less gimmick and more heritage. It’s a perfect one and done watch, for any occasion.

Mine is running 4 seconds fast per week, gains less than a second per day.
@@camilocruz3707mine now loses a few seconds per day but I think it’s because I have accidentally dropped it twice from around 3 ft or more 👎
Stunner....so much so I bought one. Can't stop looking at it but never to tell the time 😊
Great 👍 to see you back James! Beautiful watch congratulations.🍾
I’d love to see Omega come out with a new version of the 2254. Best regards 😎
Beautiful watch showcase, glad to see your journey continues..... 🍻😉

Yes awesome to see you back
Great review - love the watch - I bought the black dial however - it looks great especially in a bright light.
Excellent review. Your reviews are always very informative with excellent video and analysis. Beautiful watch matching the movement. Thanks for sharing.
Very smart analysis. Totally agree.
Excellent video! Has to be one of the top videoes of this watch. I am buying this in black in june. Lets go.

Fantastic watch James.
I think I’ve found my new watch 👍👍
Unfortunately I just bought a new watch, so i have to wait till next year.🙁
That watch will look awesome on Omega's new steel mesh bracelet.
absolutely beautiful - if it had a date i'd buy one as my everyday watch
Love the black dial version just wish they made a factory OEM ruh ruh ruhhhbahh strap
I can definitely appreciate the attraction of this Omega. As you say, it's an absolutely stunning watch. Enjoy in good health.
Grail! Thanks for the the video
Stunning watch !!
Super Selection!! Timeless Masterpiece

The 8912 movement is bigger than the 8800. It's not an illusion. It's twin-barrel, while the 8800 is a single-barrel movement.
Beautiful watch
Good to see you !
Does the matte finish dial look cheaper though for a luxury watch?
its a classic beauty
I would like a combination of this watch, and the professional.

Hi James. Good to see you back. How does this wear compare to your omega seamaster trilogy? Thanks!
Great video but I could never buy this watch before a 114060 sub
Did you have the other 300? Whats the main difference s for you?
Would you pick this watch or the NTTD?
Good to see you back Showcase. Great watch! Is it a sub killer? NO 😜 But a beautiful watch in its own right
No it's more of a vintage Submariner homage than a Submariner killer. At least it looks nicer than the other Seamaster. Omega is at its best as a vintage homage watchmaker.
awesome watch i have it rolex over rated
Too much high polish means it attracts fingerprints, scuffs and scratches. Otherwise, I like the design.
Too old "look like" watch for me: I always buy à watch of "its time". And not a kind of "ré design". Except for non discontinued and improved design of icons such as the submariner, porsch 911 etc...
It is not a sub killer. The thickness is huge, no ceramic bezel and to much Chrome colours.
I really dislike the secondhand. The previous arrow hand was much sleeker, this looks out of place. I wish they didn't make that change because I think it was perfect.
That to me is the best thing about this watch lol

Attractive but not better looking or quality than the sub….
Looks is subjective but the quality is equal to one of Sub.
