In the late 19th century, Gold Hill, North Carolina was a literal gold mine. Now, the town is an excellent glimpse into North Carolina's past as a source of gold. Highlights include a visit to the town's historic General Store, the old jail, and post office. A collection of shops set up in old buildings across the town gives the former gold town a colorful, small-town flavor.

Don't go to Mama T's Restaurant in Gold Hill it's horrible they're lazy and the food is terrible
