- Amazing this Eugenia turned out to be a novel hybrid of E. luschnathiana x E. selloi, Pitangatuba crossed with Pitomba. It taste just like a mix of the two. I hope you enjoy the video. Hopefully will have some of these available by next year!

Happy belated birthday Adam!
Awesome bro. Looks like I'll be planting my pitombas near my pitangatubas now. Stoked for you and the new fruit.
Happy belated here’s to many more years of growing and harvesting brother
Probably how they felt when boysenberries popped up lol
Congrats on creating a tasty hybrid, Adam! I’ll be proud to grow it (once available). Good luck testing rootstocks for grafting 🎉😎🍀
Would be great to be able to add this variety !😉😁🤗👊
Pitombatuba!!!!!!!
Looking forward to seeing how the other trees turn out! Hope these become available soon!
Captain Willy (Fruit_retrobution@instagram) has a really amazing hybrid tree from same batch and he will be selling some soon too! His looks more like pitangatuba but im sure is very similar to mine.

I'm growing my first pitomba and want to try this one
I’ve since just planted a pitombatuba also!! 🤩
I loved seeing that. I still haven't tried either, but that look real cool.
Very cool stuff!
Cant remember if I told you, but I planted the Pitangatube seed from mrfc sale and it came out a bulbous red fruit. Something like Cedar Bay Cherry but definitely not.
Super cool. Do you have any Pitombas for sale right now? I don't see any on your website. If you do, let me know because I have an order in or some other stuff and I would love to add one.
Wow that is really unique. How do Pitombas in winter do where you are at? I have a seedling here in SoCal about 7 inches tall and it started dropping leaves so halfway through winter I stuck it indoors under my grow light and it is putting out new foliage again. Is this one deciduous with the cold? Coldest temps it gets here outdoors is about 37 only briefly
I'm in socal 10b and I have several seedlings in ground that grow like a champ. They flower profusely. So far the fruit has been subpar and funky. Hoping it gets better with time.
Mine don't lose their leaves, but they turn color a bit.
Reminds me of a rose apple … cavity and seeds but glossy skin… how’s that bruise on your arse developing!
I was thinking the same thing when he cut it open.
no bruise it was more of a laceration...but luckily barely broke skin
"False Rose Apple" is a good colloquial name
@@FlyingFoxFruits … what about your arse! Must be at the blue/green stage now!
@@FlyingFoxFruits … glad you still bounce and nothing broken…
