Hey VFG .. what’s up Great review on these fruits I’m about to put my Pitangatuba in ground .. doing a little search and your video pop up Much respect
Good luck with your pitangatuba Malini. The fruit have a fantastic scent to them when they are ripe. I am hoping one of my seedlings produces sweeter fruit.
I wish I could find a sweeter version of pitangatuba. I recently found out that there is a red and black version of pitangatuba. The hunt begins... Thanks for stopping by Young!
Hi Sal! You'd be a lot more ahead of the game if you bought a seedling off Etsy or even Sow Exotic. They're only about $25 and it would save you like 5 months waiting and then germinating but yes hopefully I get a good crop this year to be able to offer seeds. Thank you so much for watching! I hope you have good rest of the week!
Definitely. I wouldn't be able to do this without my greenhouse. Thanks for watching Ken!! I broke my laptop a few weeks ago so I haven't been able to post recently. I have a new one coming this week so I should get back to uploading again.
Yes I agree with you now. In the video I said that I could probably get used to the flavor. Well that really didn't happen lol. I ended up selling that tree but do have a few others that I'm trying to select a better tasting fruit from. Apparently there is a red colored pitangatuba out there now too that hasn't made it to the US yet. Hopefully soon. Thank you very much for watching Jolus! Hope you have a great weekend 😊
Always enjoy watching your videos! Keep'em coming, very helpful and informative.
Thank you Ted!

Yummy!! Drooling…. Ha ha. I tried 1 out of 2. I’m hoping to get a better taste from the pitangatuba this year.

Are these self fertile or do they need a second planting?
Hi FIUPanther! They are selft fertile but have better fruit set with a partner in my experience.
Would I be able to buy some Pitangatuba seeds from you this year ?

@@snava360z334 I did get some fruit and recently planted some seeds. I might still have a couple that I haven't planted.
@@VirginiaFruitGrower I would like to buy them if you want to sell them ?
Very nice video brother! Your description of the fruit is pretty much the same for me, haha.
Yeah I'm not too hot on this Eugenia but I think there are trees out there with good fruit that should be propagated. Thanks for watching bro!
You planted these in Virginia?!?! You must have a greenhouse or something.
Definitely. I wouldn't be able to do this without my greenhouse. Thanks for watching Ken!!
