I just put a K&N cold air intake with the aluminum intake pipe on this morning. Noticeably louder when you step on the gas. Almost like I have a custom exhaust. Nice open airbox too. Easy filter removal.
Just going by experience with previous vehicles, I wouldn't suggest doing a CAI. Why? As you point out in this video; they may sound great, but they have very little impact on performance. Additionally, much of the gains are achieved by the actual filter medium that they use. The increased airflow is the result of not using as fine a filter. That's OK as long as you're aware of it, but a larger particulate passing into the engine will likely have a detrimental effect over time. There are manufacturers that make filters to fit stock filter boxes that increase airflow by adding surface area to a filter that fits the stock filter box and maintains the same level of filter effectiveness. I'd look for something like that. 👍
Just moved to the Texas coast so I’m guessing riding on the sand I would have to clean it out more often. I just was not sure if the sand is to small to clean out of the filter.
I do gain but in the grand scheme of things 5 hp/tq isn’t noticeable while driving. But you really only benefit from and intake with an exhaust to compliment it as well as a tune for both. More air in does nothing without being able to push it out. Is it worth dollar for hp, not to most. But the sound makes up for it.

Nice👍
I got a Volant on my Gladiator and it’s amazing
Similar to the INJEN. Nice upgrade !!
Cool bean s I put a Banks cat back on my tj wonder if it's cool on the SL
I just got mine but the air filter is yellow. Is it the wrong one?
I doubt it🤔
Just add a turbo. You will hear all the swoosh your heart desires

For me, it’s about sound and aesthetics 👍
What you hear is the unrestricted intake roar!
Had one on a Hemi Charger, loved it
How often do you have to clean it with the south Texas sand and dust?
Depends on where you’re located 🤔

There's no way you're getting 15-20 HP from a cold air intake, IMO.
CAI are awesome. Mines came from the factory with the Jeep performance CAI,so that mod was easy😂
Yup, very easy mod. Love the sound it produces👍
Sorry but IMO it's a total waste of money. You will never see a 15 to 20 horsepower increase with a cold air intake.

Rob, why do you keep flashing pictures across the screen of you in a wig?
No idea what you mean?
Just curious, does a cold air intake void the warranty!
If it directly causes the failure of an otherwise warranted part.
