There have been more than a few dyno runs using S&B intake kit in new Jeep 3.6 V6’s. That make LESS power over 2,700 rpm’s, with stock intake. While a small increase over, but then makes more noise than anything. The only CAI kits proven to make more power, across the rpm range are the K&N Black Series. That added over 11 hp and tq at peak rpm’s.
I took mine out, had issues with. I do have the 2.0 turbo. It kept triggering codes. Called them they sent a fix, but lost the power gained. Fuel economy dropped to 14 mpg from 17. So put stock back in along with k& n filter. Jeep is happy now. Plus the dealership voided my warranty with that s&b intake.
Terrific video, followed it step by step installing the cai on my JL...super helpful. The sound is one thing (awesome) but the throttle response is something else! Keep up the great content and all the best.
BEAST Projects so I’ve done some testing and I would say on average I can get a 0-60 of 5.8 seconds. I somehow got a 5.3 one time but I think my GPS must have been off because I haven’t done it again.
Yup, no need to add anything else first. Be sure to get from The Jp Shop, here: thejpshop.net/i-30561711-cold-air-intake-for-2018-2019-jeep-wrangler-jl-3-6l.html?ref=brand:159547
You wont notice a difference, you'll hear one.. so if you wanna pay $$ to hear it go for it..there will be no noticeable gains from a cold air kit without headers, larger pipes and exhaust.. u less you plan on doing all of that, this is money wasted and a "garage" wanting you to buy shit from their link so they get a kick back. Dont be that uninformative guy.
Is there anyway this would fit on a 2011 JKU with the Rubicon hood? Cant see the hoods being to different in size wise for the vents. Or has anyone tried? Thank you
They make one for the JK. thejpshop.net/i-30561663-sb-filters-cold-air-intake-for-07-11-jeep-wrangler-jk-v6-3-8l-oiled-cotton-cleanable-red-75-5084.html?ref=search:https%3A%2F%2Fthejpshop.net%2Fsearch.html%3Fq%3Dwrangler%2BJK%2BS%2526B
COPD is obstructive airway disease which makes it difficult to exhale. This would be more correctly no more pulmonary fibrosis. Exhaust upgrade would be COPD.
Good info. However, one has to virtually disconnect the entire cold air assembly every time to clean the filter just for a bit of more air, maybe a bit more sound & with no noticeable MPG? No thanks.
EPA has taken the public position that a vehicle designed and sold for on-highway use, such as a common rail diesel pick-up truck, can never be converted to an off-highway, race vehicle if that conversion impacts emissions controls or emissions. EPA is currently enforcing this position through the EPA’s 2020-2023 National Compliance Initiative (NCI), as well as other methods. PPEI believes there exists (and has always existed) an exception under the Clean Air Act for modifying emissions and emission controls for motor vehicles that have been permanently converted to off-highway race vehicles. In response to EPA’s public position and its NCI enforcement, effective 9/16/2019 at 2pm, PPEI will halt sales of race products. PPEI will continue to sell its products designed for on-highway use and is making great strides in expanding the line of on-highway products that deliver the performance that our customers desire.
BEAST Projects so sad what’s the point in even owning a diesel now:(((by the looks of it it’s going to be a huge thing now I’ve heard cops are now looking for deleted truck as far as having a device to check if it’s deleted
Will be adding it to my Jeep. Put one on my 02 7.3 last year. Very well built and looks great

Could you tell me why I have to disconnect my battery I'm looking into one
I have ordered Volant intake.looks similar to SB. Now I’m thinking of returning it and place an order for SB which was my first choice.

Wow, really for a CAI. I would fight that.
This filter good for sand dunes?
I coupled mine with the hood scoop ram air kit and a muffler delete. My Jeep breathes sooo much better.
What is the comparison of a high flow K&N filter on the stock intake to the “cold air” intake with the high flow S&B filter?
Nice job guys. It took me 1/2 hour
Great addition....sounded great too.....
Hi were can I buy one for me
Terrific video, followed it step by step installing the cai on my JL...super helpful. The sound is one thing (awesome) but the throttle response is something else! Keep up the great content and all the best.
Thanks Art!
Thanks for the video! Did you have to cut a hole in the hood for airflow? Please and thank you
Welcome, we did not cut any holes...
Was the S & B intake install done on the 2.0L Turbo
Sounds more aggressive which I love but did it improve MPG?
Didn’t really notice a difference.
Will this install with a Rugged Ridge Snorkel for 2020 Wrangler? Doesn’t look like but thought I’d double check?
Not sure
Great video. Mine arrived today and was able to complete every thing in no time. Very helpful. Ps. Sounds awesome!
Thanks Dan!
Hi guys great video - do you have an install vid for the S&B Cold Air Intake for 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL 2.0L Turbo?
Thank you, not yet.
I did the mishimoto cai on my 2.0t and can’t tell much of a difference, but I will be tuning it here in the next couple of days with the jb4
Update, I installed the mishimot cai and charge pipe and now along with my jb4 my Jeep is pretty speedy now
Sweet!!
BEAST Projects I’m not satisfied yet lol
Are we ever?! LOL
BEAST Projects so I’ve done some testing and I would say on average I can get a 0-60 of 5.8 seconds. I somehow got a 5.3 one time but I think my GPS must have been off because I haven’t done it again.
Does it save a gas?
I have a lot of catching up to do on you tube I have been away for a while. Awesome video like always though
Thanks Angel! Hope you & the Mrs are doing well.
@@BEASTProjects we are I just had to come down to Florida and work for a while though 😥
That kid can do anything but run a camera! 😂😂
Great video!
Are the alternators backwards on these new Rams and Jeeps?
Will I notice a sound and pull difference with this being my first engine mod on my 2020 gladiator or should i add something else first?
Yup, no need to add anything else first. Be sure to get from The Jp Shop, here: thejpshop.net/i-30561711-cold-air-intake-for-2018-2019-jeep-wrangler-jl-3-6l.html?ref=brand:159547
No you won't. Better off replacing the air filter with k&n and keeping all the other parts stock.
No check engine light afterwards?
Nope

My 2.0t has started having pretty bad turbo lag, will this help with that?
Possibly
BEAST Projects my JL has almost 6000 miles on it, is it too late to install a catch can?
Never too late
BEAST Projects do you think we will ever get a decent tune on the 2.0t?
was this with a stock exhaust?
Yes
Do you ship to Canada??
Unfortunately not at this time
BEAST Projects will this potentially void my warranty??
Still can get this in the UK
Yall think one can just not install the box and just let the filter sit on the tube? Would that provide more flow and sound?
Looks good.
Should have recorded intake temp before and after. It has the sensor and your tuner thingy should show live data.
Damn.. I’ll do that with Charger.
Corsa exhaust next 👍
Jordan Ewoldt did you do it? I was looking into getting one as well?
No more copd for the Jeep 👍🏻
COPD is obstructive airway disease which makes it difficult to exhale. This would be more correctly no more pulmonary fibrosis. Exhaust upgrade would be COPD.
steve, did you post belles video, or is it same as this? sorry for the questions but i believe my fathers and mine would benefit from this accessory
Yup, a while back.
@@BEASTProjects thanks a bunch

Pansy
How is this a cold air intake ??
Have you had any check engine lights to this day?
None
First like 👍🏻
Love it!!
Spoiler 🚨 !? Hmmm was that a little tidbit from coal pit? 😱
Yup, working on the edit now & I hope to have it go live on Tuesday at 5PM.
Shhhhhh!
i could not hear anything. guy was chatting thought the video
Gonna get demonetized because of the radio playing in the background
You hushhhhh
😂😂
Maybe let us actually hear it next time. All we heard was your voice...
I, I, Captain!

Did you hear about this
I haven’t, but I’m sure it’s coming for a lot of companies.

Yup
