Thanks, your videos are becoming very informative, i think i picked up at least 1 thing in the last few videos, so thanks for that, keep it up "always learning"
I can't thank you enough for this, Clint. I've battled my way thru Google Sheets and plotted the formulas! I fine tuned the Wind Aim numbers for my particular ball and I'm seeing instant results. Indeed, it's better than a calculator! Also, it turns out that the Elevation Up/Down numbers I've been using, 3 and 3.75, give a very similar result to your % numbers. Science! Ha. Again, thank you.
@@lrowan1 i'm prob overthinking here, as i;m very new at wgt, but can't a headwind be directional . .. Causing the ball to be short to the right are short to the left..... It's probably not much. i see your point.
@@TheFlax33 As I said in the video, it depends on your ball. There is a guy in my club that uses the titleist ball as I do but his is a different level and his goes longer in headwinds than mine but I go longer on tailwinds. Thats why you need to see for yourself how your ball reacts to tailwind and headwind the same or differently.

Hi Champ. I find that when I play at Erin Hills, my normal mapped distances don't work so well (I am usually long even when there is low wind). I do take into account the course lay-out. Is it just me or do you think that distances at Erin Hills have to be separately calibrated? I am a legend (not in the true sense lol) and my average is 64. I would really appreciate your thoughts. Jeff
You are correct, Erin Hills for me is either a good round or terrible round. It has holes that I call evolving holes because it seems they keep changing. If you havent already, getting the WGT notebook where you can make notes on certain holes is a good idea, but its best you make notes when playing alone because you only have a 12 seconds or so to type if you are playing with a partner before the notepad goes away and everything you typed is now gone because you didnt save it. Or use a word spreadsheet or something else that doesnt go away after 10 seconds.
Thank you so much. I will be making a lot of notes. I just played Erin Hills again and it was a completely different experience. I may need to see a Shrink to deal the anxiety which WGT causes me. 😵💫
how did you add the clock with percentage spread sheet ? I see its in a separate excel sheet behindwork sheet , I've tried reseaching couldn't find a download to my excel.. tks
I did a google search for a clock, found one that worked when I inserted it on a excel sheet, and I added the percentages myself. It took a little bit of time but it's doable.
It really don't matter because if you put a distance off 200 yards and use 1% wind you can change from 180 and -225 and see the actual shot yardage doesn't change much.
I could but its pretty simple. Just put in the info, yards, wind speed, wind direction, wind differential, and elevation, then hit the ball the yardage it reads and move the pin the number of blocks it tells. Any certain thing you're not sure about?
I dont share spreadsheets for downloads because if people have trouble downloading it for some reason or another they start asking me for tech. support. That is why I show you how to make your own in my videos, it's not that hard to do.
Since I use a mac computer, there isnt anything like that for me. I just look at the arrow and see at which O'clock its pointing towards for the percentage.
This isnt for putting. I use the same figures on my approaches for all green speeds. You just need to learn your club distance on your approach shots. Punches and pitches might make the shots a little different on slower greens but only a yard to 2 so you just put that into thought when you hit those, and if you look at my putting video, you will see the green speed is included.
This is really well explained. I'm going to make my own because the ones I've found are only confusing me because they all give different results. Thanks so much!
I was wondering if the % for Up/Down Elevation formula are adjustable or are they key to the game's math as they are? Some player's use 180/225, some 180/200, or other variations. Thanks, Clint!
@@larrymullenjrband I use the same elevation for all my shots unless I use my 64 wedge club, and the only change I do with that is on up elevation where I use half the elevation on full shots and punches. But that is only for my 64 wedge on up elevation.

Great video. Thanks for everything.
You are my go to guy for WGT. Thanks for your time........Why no adjustment for sidewind when you have a headwind in aiming.
Well, you dont have a side wind if you have a head wind. To me, a side wind is a 95% and higher wind differential.
