Thank you, Clint. I had a wedge shot on the green for 25 yards and elevation 23 inches up. The percentage was over 80% just for the distance. If I added 23 for the uphill it would have been over 100%. Does the calculation vary if there is a high elevation?
Yes, when you get elevations like that it gets a bit more complicated on figuring distances. First you want to make it to the top tier so I would have seen what that distance was and then see how much more I had to go to the pin.
@@lrowan1 Ok ! My theory : once on green, balls weight is divided by 2. That also could explain why so many balls pass over hole edge at low speed without dropping.
Actually, there is no rule in golf that prohibits using any club on the greens. Nornal Etiquette is that you do not take a divot. Of course a Club could have a local rule on tge issue.
So, like in real golf, wgt's code should allow a fairway bunker full shot (the actual limit is about 100 yards). And, like in real golf, we should be able to drop balls (after being in water) where we want, and not in a 40/50 rough.

@@lrowan1 Thank you, Sir. I understand. The green wedge has saved me in several situations. Sometimes I wish I could use a driver on the green. 😊
Great video Clint, I just got longest putt in a clash using this 👍
Thats awesome!!! I put a few in too from time to time.
Great video! Thanks
You're welcome!
Put in green is very difficult.
They can be
Some players know this trick, and some don't.
But the question is :
Why do we have to double distance to hit that shot ? (I got my theory)
Never really thought about it, it works so I just do it.

That is correct. Not everyone knows that though.
WGT should change the code in the game so that you can only use the putter on the green like in real golf.
Guess you dont watch much pro golf because they also use wedges on the green. A woman on the LPGA Honda tournament in Thailand just did it on round 1.
