- The Karambit Warrior is the unique unit of the Malay in Age of Empires II HD: Rise of the Rajas. It is a very cheap, quick, and frail infantry unit that only takes up half a population spot.
Karambit Warriors can be upgraded to Elite Karambit Warriors in the Imperial Age.
Food: 25
Gold: 15
In the total resources series, 100 Gold = 100 Food = 100 Wood.

people need to understand, their strength lies in overwhelming. e.g. you can snipe siege with Karambits since the opponent wont have as many units to kill them all fast enough to prevent it
Yeah man. Like I don't understand why people are surprised Karambits do well in this sort of test. They are dirt cheap, take half a pop each. It shouldn't be that difficult to figure out how well they would do.
Karambits are such a fun unit to mess around with
Slingers: We counter Infantry
Karambit warriors: That's cute
Are you countered by cavalry, infantry or archers?
Karambit warrior:yesn't
Gotta say buffing the attack from 7 to 8 really helped in some fight, like the ones vs Tarkan and Condottiero(they lost to those before)
It's actually +2 per pop, so yeah it's significant
Theyre still weak asf tho. Any infantry in that number will snowball. Theyre like shotels but from the cheapest ghetto local market
@@penus7639 The thing is, unlike Shotels, they are 2 units per population space. Despite it's weakness, despite being useless on an individual level, it's not meant to be used that way. Like seeing people surprised that Karambits do better than they expected is baffling. They're dirt cheap and take up half a pop each and are relatively fast, what do you expect.
@@holoqofholoqqia9503 hussars are better than them on any level except halbs though. The level of surprise can’t overwhelm heavy cavalry or archers, the most used two units. And the investment is too high for an actual ‘surprise’ archer opening malay usually ends the match by early imp tbh. If it doesn’t and you want to kill trash you’d go for militia line instead. Oh they are really only good for quick siege killing if you’re going all in archers
@@penus7639 I disagree that Hussars do it better. Yes from a resource point of view Hussars is definitely a much better long term unit, since Hussars are trash units and Karambits no matter how low their gold cost is is still gold intensive. But the thing is, Malay don't have Hussars. Their whole Cav tech tree is a non-starter aside from the Battle Elephants. And by surprise I mean how people are surprised in this comment section. In a real game, yes I'm sure it's quite different. I do not agree that Hussars are better than Karambits because we're talking about the Malay. Malay doesn't have Hussars, bloodlines and the last 2 Cav armour upgrades. I want to move your attention again to their cheap cost. What's wrong with utilising them for raiding and anti-ranged duties whilst you have also dirt cheap Militia to do frontline duties? In that regard, Karambit warriors can most definitely do a lot of jobs Hussar can do and not worry about Halbs. They are really cheap and I'm pretty sure they're cheaper than Hussars from a total resources point of view, they take half a pop, they're very fast for an infantry unit that can overrun siege and archers. And in team games theoretically they should have a better use case than Hussars.
Somebody make a mod so they look like zerglings
In Malay pronouncetion is Kerambit, it's fun to enjoyed they swarming enemy unit✅🇲🇾😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tabik!
Maju!
Angkat Senjata!!
The Karambits vs Cataphracts one reminds me of the "Cataphracts Moonwalk party" from Spirit of the Law's video. 11
It's finally here!
nightmare of archer units
i have some suggestion your content would be more helpful if you give timestamp
Oh ya but he uploads so gosh darn many and there would be so many timestamps needed each time
@@Dave_The_Musical_Fisherman yes, that is the whole point
Cataphracts asking themselves: what kind of peasants are these?
Zerg rush of the AoE II
Can anybody tell me if this unit is good in cba or no?
Youre adding way more karambit than you are others
It's res based
Is there a way to display the total resources used as well as the number of units per side so as to get a better idea of the value your troops are providing?
I believe that the resource total is what is balanced. In the description it says "100 food = 100 wood = 100 gold.
trying to find time stamps here is impossible
Ah yes Elite Cannon Fodder
Oh yeah... They now have +1 attack and melee armor.
Good for them considering infantry got supplies..
AoE2's version of Zerglings.
Zerglings
In short:
Throwing axemen: even with the buffs they are beyond pathetic
Jaguar warriors: amazing.
Karambits are such a fun unit to mess around with
