Don’t give up. Idc we can wrestle dude. Just have to look as young as the kids but stronger and more charismatic. That’s easy if you’ve been keeping up with yourself. None of what he says bothers me this seems doable. I remember watching NFL, NBA videos on how to get in this isn’t that. The key words for me were “teach you later”. Which isn’t what happens in other sports. They want you to know already and be fit. Charisma doesn’t matter here it does!! I’m lucky knock on wood…never had an injury or surgery. I played 4 sports year around as a kid til middle school. I gave up bc of politics. Still in shape though. Enjoy wrestling. Curious to know your thoughts on this new age developmental training. While I appreciate WWE taking itself seriously to build professional athletes, I can't help but to think of all the talent they would have missed out in had they implemented this before. Mick Foley, Vader, Dudleys, etc all great in ring storytellers and characters but I doubt would have the stamina to cut through this training. But now in my 4th decade of loving and living the business, this developmental training represents another step away from the pro-wrestling I enjoy most.

I'd recommend training at a local school, then working as many indie dates as possible to gain a name for yourself.
Would it be okay if I just watch WWE instead of learning moves? Ive been watching WWE for years but I’ve never wrestled before or had any experience. Is it required for me to learn the moves and rules? Would they teach me how to wrestle like a beginner?
Yes, actually, they prefer it that way. They are currently hiring high-level athletes with little to no wrestling experience. They prefer to build their television performers from the ground up, at the PC.
I’m 24 and still not in the right shape. I’m still finding wrestling schools and preparing my schedules. When I heard the were now only focused on ppl even younger than me, my motivation & hopes to be in WWE were crushed. Not gonna lie.
I can understand that. I just want to offer this thought to you: lots of people grew up on WWF / WWE, and it's hard to parse what it has become, from what we recall colored by our childhood nostalgia. But if your passion for pro-wrestling is bigger than just the love of one company, there are so many ways out there for you to make your mark, to rule the ring in new and innovative ways, and to leave a legacy you can be proud of....without ever setting foot in a WWE ring.
Hi. In your opinion, do you think that nationality is important during recruit process? I mean, if you are from country that don't a representative in WWE, is that helping you a bit? Or WWE, didn't much paying attention to diversity?
Guys, but coming from Europe and having exceeded the age limits imposed by the federation... does it make sense to try?:( I turned 28, but I understand that the most important thing seems to be charisma and appearance..?
WOW, i would have really thought the most important thing was your face, voice, and acting ablilities, they can always get you in shape, and teach you how to wrestle, but how to work a crowd? How to talk to a camera? How to naturally have charisma? Some people just dont have that shit and its unteachable, truely, some people just dont have the mental capacity and social skills to do that stuff and to me, that would have been my upmost priority if i was casting for the WWE. Crazy how thats not. As the story telliing is the most important part.
Hi I have a question im heavyweight 190 cm an 130 kg I'm still pretty fast for my size because I played soccer i yust don't now how heavyweight people can pass training
Wrestling is my passion and I have such a huge personality. I kind of hate that I prolonged my career but I’m not complaining about it. The only thing that I’m focused on is my age bracket. I’m 30 and want to go for my dream/passion. Do you think 30 is too late?
That depends, really. If getting signed by WWE is your dream, then yes. Their current hiring standard is no one over the age of 26 gets to audition. That might change as Triple H reshapes talent guidelines into 2023, but that's where things stand right now. But WWE is just one piece of the pro-wrestling landscape.
I’m 6’5, 250Ibs, in good shape, young looking but 38. Life long wrestling fan. Very charismatic. Want to try out but from what I’m hearing doesn’t look promising.
okok he’s saying all this but what about people like otis and solo sikoa who aren’t in their top shape how did they get in with unrealistic body types i mean ik solo has family connections but still yk?
Are there ways to do other things (commentating, interviewer, referee) if you're 26 & the same height as Rey Mysterio. I can do everything else cardio, coachability, great teammate.
Allow me to elaborate on this... WWE is not ALL about being in shape and getting through their "tryout" quote-unquote it's more about the politics and the relationships that you have with WWE personnel and everybody there WWE is all about control if you're not the kind of person who likes to be controlled then it's the wrong place for you wwe loves its control and it's based upon tiers of control when they say the word "coachable"it means they want to be able to control you not only control you there but the control your whole life so if that's not the kind of person that you are then don't bother even going to a wwe tryout don't bother wanting to go be with WWE cuz that's what they're about Unquestionably they would deny this of course it's the truth that they don't want to admit.. they use that so-called tryout to see what kind of person you are and your ethics and just what kind of person you are in the inside personality-wise your personality and the more positive a person you will be will get you further in life not just there but in life and in WWE or wherever you choose to go more than your physical prowess there's a lot of people in there that had a hard time with the tryout and they're on the roster right now despite their physical shape it's about the politics
I'm from Argentina and I want to really do It to the WWE, I turn 18 the last month, but I don't know If to do the tryout I have to go to Orlando or they still make the Latin American Tryout
I Filled In The Application For WWE To Become Myself As A WWE Wrestler Because I Want To Participate In The Ring To Work With RHEA RIPLEY And Other Wrestlers For My In-Ring Competition In-Person Because I'm In Special Needs For WWE And Waiting For Them To Contact Me Back And Respond
Well, one doesn't really "sign up" to go to the Performance Center. You would go through several rounds of selection, and only after that process, would you be invited to a try-out. A small percentage (think 5% or less) of the people that try-out are offered a chance to sign. It would be extraordinarily difficult to make it through the selection process without some sort of athletic background.
@@TilWeMakeIt thank you , on the wwe recruit website there are two options college athletes and all other applicants , do I click all other applicants?
They are looking for a few things. Charisma, command of the microphone, ability to convey a message infused with emotion. They do not like "shouty" promos (think Ultimate Warrior circa 1990.) They weigh these very heavily. If you are an athlete with a telegenic look, sometimes they'll give you a pass, but otherwise, your promo has to deliver.
Things are changing under HHH. When Vince was still there, they rarely, if ever, allowed anyone over 31 to try out, and for a bit, pushed that back to 26 (again, things are changing.)
Cardiovascular is effortless for me and and I have a very acrobatic background that all the drills etc would be easily manageable.. I have great experiences talking in front of others and love performing more than anything. My kryptonite would be the weight room. Cosmetically I have it but I’m def at my very best a intermediate lifter I can’t push a crazy weight limit should that deter me from applying? Ofc I’m working to improve it daily but even in a year I know it’s not going to be something thats impressive compared to everything else I can bring to the table.
Im 18 y/o , great shape , but a little small, like 5’7 , i already did the wwe tryout thing on their site, what could i do to really have a “response “.
I love the irony of the hot bod wwe is after b/c the majority of their legends weren't hot bod dudes lol Hacksaw Jim Dugan, Jake the snake, Doink, jerry lawyer, etc And I've never heard a new household wrestler name in 30 yrs
That's tough to say. They always want people with "unique looks," so that might actually help. But if you follow what they went through with Randy Orton's tattoo artist and that legal battle....well, I could also see them being a little gun-shy about tattoos. I don't think I could give you an iron-clad answer that means anything, unfortunately.
I mean examples like bam bam biglow has a head tattoo. Also make sure that the person who did your tattoos is okay with it because they can sue you for having their artwork shown on WWE without permission. But I’d honestly say you’re fine.
@@TilWeMakeIt thank you for the feedback! I hope to become a part of the WWE roster someday and your videos help me get a few steps closer to achieving my goal!
Mike is it good to do a tryout even if that wrestler was to be invited? Like you a being a vet I wanna know a little bit more because your experience and you know the business like you can give the best criticism because your in this industry than someone who isn’t. Like should a individual still give it a try if they have some type of expirience or a household name? Like I get told that wwe pc keeps them talent in development contracts for 7 years but I can’t go off what a person says that’s not a professional wrestler or in this industry.
Hey DJ - I'm not completely sure I understand what you're asking. In case it is not clear: the WWE has to invite you to a try-out. You apply for it, or are recruited, but in either case, you will get an invitation to try-out.
Given the recent change in hiring guidelines, looking for men 6'1'' and above, it is unlikely in the current setting. Should the guidelines be changed again, who can say what they'll be casting for?
The cost for training is different at every wrestling training center. Credible schools will have it listed somewhere on their website so you can shop around for options.
They don’t really care about wrestling experience anymore. They want younger ones to be built from zero (top to bottom) to be WWE superstars. Not professional wrestlers.

Don’t worry bro I’m 26 getting ready to start training eventually wwe is gonna have too hire pro wrestlers
And I don't know how it works in reality but if I pass the tryout what's next do they get us ready when it's time for us to make our TV debut
@@jonathancoleman9266 They’re still doing it, but their biggest priority are very young college athletes.
@@laronsmart9086 Some of them spend 1 maybe even 2 years training full time before debuting in NXT.
Hi. In your opinion, do you think that nationality is important during recruit process? I mean, if you are from country that don't a representative in WWE, is that helping you a bit? Or WWE, didn't much paying attention to diversity?
It helps. They absolutely hire for diversity.
Guys, but coming from Europe and having exceeded the age limits imposed by the federation... does it make sense to try?:(
I turned 28, but I understand that the most important thing seems to be charisma and appearance..?
Hey I’m 5’4 and 231 what problems could I face
Being nearly 27 do I have a good chance to become a wwe wrestler but I’m a boxer and I look like a bodybuilder and I’m very Athletic ?
Sounds like you might need this one, Joe: ua-cam.com/video/6T6iEAfXoQ0/v-deo.html
Didnt teach you how to use a lav mic or set up a boom though
I'm screwed then, I'm 5"2 and 27
WOW, i would have really thought the most important thing was your face, voice, and acting ablilities, they can always get you in shape, and teach you how to wrestle, but how to work a crowd? How to talk to a camera? How to naturally have charisma? Some people just dont have that shit and its unteachable, truely, some people just dont have the mental capacity and social skills to do that stuff and to me, that would have been my upmost priority if i was casting for the WWE. Crazy how thats not. As the story telliing is the most important part.
Hi I have a question im heavyweight 190 cm an 130 kg I'm still pretty fast for my size because I played soccer i yust don't now how heavyweight people can pass training
i see noone answered you in 11 months. i guess overweight people cant pass lol
28 and same.
I’m 6’5, 250Ibs, in good shape, young looking but 38. Life long wrestling fan. Very charismatic. Want to try out but from what I’m hearing doesn’t look promising.
What about AEW?@@TilWeMakeIt
okok he’s saying all this but what about people like otis and solo sikoa who aren’t in their top shape how did they get in with unrealistic body types i mean ik solo has family connections but still yk?
Exactly I want to know if they train you differently based on you’re size and weight class
In 34 but I look 26. I’m in physical shape too I’ve been working in warehouses -20 weather. I like pain. 😂 I may c about this
Are there ways to do other things (commentating, interviewer, referee) if you're 26 & the same height as Rey Mysterio. I can do everything else cardio, coachability, great teammate.
If you mean WWE specifically, they are always looking for short referees (makes the wrestlers look bigger on TV.)
Allow me to elaborate on this... WWE is not ALL about being in shape and getting through their "tryout" quote-unquote it's more about the politics and the relationships that you
have with WWE personnel and everybody there WWE is all about control if you're not the kind of person who likes to be controlled then it's the wrong place for you wwe loves its control and it's based upon tiers of control when they say the word "coachable"it means they want to be able to control you
not only control you there but the control your whole life so if that's not the kind of person that you are then don't bother even going to a wwe tryout don't bother wanting to go be with WWE cuz that's what they're about
Unquestionably they would deny this of course it's the truth that they don't want to admit.. they use that so-called tryout to see what kind of person you are and your ethics and just what kind of person you are in the inside
personality-wise your personality and the more positive a person you will be will get you further in life not just there but in life and in WWE or wherever you choose
to go more than your physical prowess there's a lot of people in there that had a hard time with the tryout and they're on the roster right now despite their physical shape it's about the politics
I would like to know how long a wwe tryout is and if I can join without a high school degree
you don’t need a hs degree to join
@@manimani__. how do u know
@@busnutskittle4411 look it up, and plus joining the wwe isn’t gonna be like getting an actual job like a lawyer or something it’s entertainment
@@manimani__. thanks for that
I'm from Argentina and I want to really do It to the WWE, I turn 18 the last month, but I don't know If to do the tryout I have to go to Orlando or they still make the Latin American Tryout
You may not be given a choice. You need to apply the same way everyone does, and they will decide at which tryout they want to see you appear.
I don't have money to come in America and do try out
i love wwe and this is a good video, id love to be a wrestler but honestly i’ve heard things about wwe and it seems toxic
That environment and training culture definitely isn't for everyone!
Bro I’m like 5’5 I can’t fake the height
Do you have to be a member of SAG to get in or work as an announcer for WWE or AEW?
Nope!
How many performance centers are there? I hope they add one here in l.a.
There are two: one in the US, and one in the UK.
Are you saying it's pointless to ever even try if you are over 26? What if you are like in the best shape out of everyone trying out?
I’m saying the last time they revised their hiring guidelines, they decided no one over 26 is to be offered a contract.
Welp, looks like I’m skipping raw tonight to hit the gym…
It's a better use of your time, to be sure.
Like I said before, Who did Otis pay to get on the roster
If I sign up to go to the pc would I still have a chance even if I never did a sport before?
Well, one doesn't really "sign up" to go to the Performance Center. You would go through several rounds of selection, and only after that process, would you be invited to a try-out. A small percentage (think 5% or less) of the people that try-out are offered a chance to sign. It would be extraordinarily difficult to make it through the selection process without some sort of athletic background.
I just turn 20 and going to a community college , I played football in high and still train like a athlete. Is it okay to go for a tryout?
Yep!
@@TilWeMakeIt thank you , on the wwe recruit website there are two options college athletes and all other applicants , do I click all other applicants?
How do they judge the promos and is that a big part of the tryout?
They are looking for a few things. Charisma, command of the microphone, ability to convey a message infused with emotion. They do not like "shouty" promos (think Ultimate Warrior circa 1990.) They weigh these very heavily. If you are an athlete with a telegenic look, sometimes they'll give you a pass, but otherwise, your promo has to deliver.
Do we go to the website?
I have a whole video series to walk you through each step. Start with this one: ua-cam.com/video/We3o8W_8Dm8/v-deo.html
I have a question do I have to make my own move
you mentioned something about age. At what age is it too late to tryout?
Things are changing under HHH. When Vince was still there, they rarely, if ever, allowed anyone over 31 to try out, and for a bit, pushed that back to 26 (again, things are changing.)
did big show go to the perfomance center
He broke in before the PC was built, but virtually all the WWE talent residing in the Orlando area has spent some amount of time working out there.
I want to learn how to wrestle but there are no wrestling schools where I live. Any suggestions?
Where do you live?
Im 18 y/o , great shape , but a little small, like 5’7 , i already did the wwe tryout thing on their site, what could i do to really have a “response “.
Is it anyway I can contact you for information?
Sure. My email is in the description of every video.
Ronda didn't look like a wrestler at all how did she get through
She didn't try out. She was recruited. Same thing happened with Shinsuke Nakamura - never had to go through the try out process.
I'm 5'5
I love the irony of the hot bod wwe is after b/c the majority of their legends weren't hot bod dudes lol
Hacksaw Jim Dugan, Jake the snake, Doink, jerry lawyer, etc
And I've never heard a new household wrestler name in 30 yrs
100 pushups continuously 😮
There is so many great talent in the wrestling business that was and is currently under 6’1.. Like really?
Hey mike! Do you believe wwe has any preference with tattoos? (For example, would a head tattoo hurt my chances?) See you at the seminar!
I’m 22 years old and I have no pro wrestling experience am I wasting my time trying to get started?
Not in my opinion. If you have the time to invest and are capable of learning new skills, it's not too late.
@@TilWeMakeIt thank you for the feedback! I hope to become a part of the WWE roster someday and your videos help me get a few steps closer to achieving my goal!
Is there an age limit for the WWE tryouts?
They are unlikely to invite you to the try-out if you are over the age of 31.
@@TilWeMakeItThey don't know what they're missing out on then
Mike is it good to do a tryout even if that wrestler was to be invited?
Hey Mike do you think it’s still a real possibility someone at my height of 5’10 to still make it past the tryout and get a wwe contract?
Given the recent change in hiring guidelines, looking for men 6'1'' and above, it is unlikely in the current setting. Should the guidelines be changed again, who can say what they'll be casting for?
5'8 a bad height?
What’s the ideal age for wwe athletes ? Is there an age that’s too late ? Nvm lol I asked while I was still watching. Thanks for all the info !
No sweat, Dylan - thanks!

How much is training
The cost for training is different at every wrestling training center. Credible schools will have it listed somewhere on their website so you can shop around for options.
How much experience did you need too get a tryout?
Wrestling experience? These days you need zero.
They don’t really care about wrestling experience anymore. They want younger ones to be built from zero (top to bottom) to be WWE superstars. Not professional wrestlers.
@@honeyandlavender_ yeah there saying that now eventually there gonna have too hire pro wrestling

I wonder how one is now that H is back.
They've been posting tons of clips of the try outs happening this weekend, just look at their social media.
Do they let you try out if you have no wrestling experience?
Absolutely. Right now, they are leaning more toward athletes from other sports and disciplines, than athletes from wrestling anyway.
