Very nice, What a treat! thanks.
OHHH YESSSSSSS thanks for sharing that !!
The pipes are made of boxwood, by Andreas Rogge (allegedly).Ruben's zouki was made by Stefan Sobell, one of the finest and most expensive makers.Good stuff! Now, does anybody know the names of those tunes?
capslock286 was talking about the bouzouki. It's a Greek instrument that was introduced to Ireland in the 1960s and became hugely popular there.
It is actually quite amusing that this Greek instrument found its' ways to irish FOLK music as late as 35-40 years ago...
Are you serious? Uilleann pipes are a couple hundred years old. Of course pipes dating thousands of years back seem to have some remnants in France.
Wow! even better than the other clip.
Jayz that is simply beautiful.Sorry for the comparisons but cant help thinking of Tommy Keane and Alec Finn..:)
I feel like I should hop in to my auto and drive down a winding road. Well played.
i realised that the pipe almost sounds like a hurdy gurdy
Ah, I should have guessed! After all, it is Greek.
I mean the bouzouki... of course.
What are the names of the tunes?
what kind of lazy mans bag pipe is that? :D anyway i love irish music and this was great
You clearly know nothing of the Uilleann pipes then
Whats his uilleann pipe made out of? Looks like Ebony and Boxwood, or just one of those two.
The Jigs are "The Collier’s Jig", also known as "Do You Want Any More?" ,and "Seamus O'Shanahan's Jig".
12,000 pounds minimum for that set of Uilleann pipes. They sounds amazing though.
two very talented musicians,I watch this video many times and always enjoy it
