Resident Evil 3[b] is a 2020 survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It is a remake of the 1999 game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, and follows former elite agent Jill Valentine and mercenary Carlos Oliveira as they attempt to find a vaccine and escape from a city that has been infected by a viral bioweapon. The game is played from an over-the-shoulder, third-person perspective and requires the player to solve puzzles and defeat a variety of monsters while being pursued by a creature called Nemesis.
Most of Resident Evil 3 was developed concurrently with the 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2 and both games run on Capcom's proprietary RE Engine. Although the game features the same premise as the original, many parts were rearranged in favor of a more focused story. To honor the more action-oriented approach of the original, developers revamped the movement speed and animations from the Resident Evil 2 remake and added an ability for players to dodge incoming attacks. Because some features from the original game were excluded, a separate online multiplayer game, Resident Evil: Resistance, was bundled with Resident Evil 3.
Resident Evil 3 received generally favorable reviews from critics, who highlighted its compelling narrative, tense atmosphere, and graphics. Criticism was primarily targeted at the game's short length and missing features from the original. The game's larger emphasis on moment-to-moment action and scripted sequences also disappointed some critics. Resident Evil 3 was nominated for Best Audio Design at The Game Awards 2020. According to Capcom, the game sold relatively well and in line with their expectations.

Yes, that was what made me really dissapointed about RE3.
Normally when you do a remake you keep things as they are and improve some areas and make them more believable.
You don't remove areas and enemies though, especially if people mentioned how much they liked it in the original game.
They rushed the game and instead of adding those areas they added that stupid ass RE RESISTANCE bs

They could've, you know...made Nemesis actually NEMESIS.
He only chases you for a VERY short time in the first area. From then on, he's just cut scenes and a few boss fights

The original was short too, and RE2 remake is actually the same hour length as RE3 remake so there’s nothing to complain about.
It was a good game in my opinion. It was a bit disappointing how short it was, because of all the content they cut out of it. However, I enjoyed it anyways for what it was. It would be nice if Capcom released a directors cut version or something, that added all the of the missing elements and story pieces back into it though.
All Resident evil remake series are pretty awesome
I absolutely loved it even if it was shorter than RE2. Hopefully we get more of this new Jill in future Resident Evil Games

Not only does this look great but I'm diggin' the new inventory system! That Nemesis is one ruthless bastard though. That looks damn near impossible just to get the game rolling. It looks really good though. I'm about a 1/4 of the way in and I haven't seen the map yet though. I'm curious to see how they did that.
I just bought res 2 & 3 . I honestly thought they’d be longer then 2 hours lol. At least I didn’t pay full price.

Still..that Does kinda suck though. 2 is the real gem too. So, that also leaves me wondering about the Hunk and Tofu side quests. Have you seen those yet..or, did they get nix too?

@Chai well compared to RE2 remake everything was dumbed down the physics, gore and overall polish. It was the B team that made it and the Devs said because RE3 was more action the current consoles wasn't powerful enough to make it on the level of RE2. I don't believe it I just think the deadlines were more tight and the devs talent wasn't as good with RE3 remake.
I still prefer to play the resident evil 3 in my playstation classic. Old times never gonna die

Eu achei bacaninha. Porém eu prefiro o RE3 original do que esse, porque esse aí é mais curto e tem menos exploração e rejogabilidade.
O meu favorito dos novos jogos(de 2017 pra cá) é o RE7, meu favorito de toda a franquia é o RE1 Remake e o Resident Evil que eu mais joguei foi o 4. Mas eu não gosto de comparar o 4 com os jogos antes do 4 ou depois de RE6 pois o foca do 4 é ação e combate não terror e estratégia.

Yes the first 40 minutes of this game is a work of art...it fizzles out though.. Toward the middle they get lazy and it turns into a run of the mill shooting game.. Disappointing..

I didnt have a Playstation in the late 90s so never got to play the original so going in blind to this remake I can honestly say I really enjoyed this game

This RE3 was one of the hardest game to finish , without any help from youtube , and playing by your own , it takes a long time finish it , especially when you have to find the keys or items.
Still, it's a great graphic. And yet it doesn't overload even older GPUs. The RE Engine is great.

one day I shall play the remakes;). I remember skipping the first classes of school and waiting 30mins for the store to open so that i could buy Resi3(ps1). They sold it to me ( I was underaged ;). I then came to school all happy and simply said that I missed my train ;)) great times.

Did you compare the HDR On/Off of this game? Such as the light of the helicopter (11:45" ~ 11:47") , I think the SDR version is smoother.

Do you have a custom soundtrack on this? Because I don't remember hearing any of those classic tracks on my playthrough...

I know this is possibly a Dev playing this and I notice many ppl do this.
So, for anybody, every time you pull that trigger it's an auto reloading. Also, do not reload going around corners.
Check ur surrounding first as to clear, then reload. In war you have no time to make mistakes and this will greatly lengthen times between dying.
Be sure to reload all weps as well.
After watching this remake I get in love again with RE. I’m buying a PS5 ASAP!

The fixed camera angle stuff died out in the 1990s along with ''pixel perfect jumps'' and stuff like that, presumably as they were judged to not actually be that fun.
Padahal yang kita butuhkan bukan wahnya opening, gambar yang bagus, atau detil karakter, tapi gameplay mekanik dan story yang berkesan di RE3, kita punya story dan gameplay yang bikin kecanduan, tapi di remake kaya ada yang hilang, cut content seperti di metal gear V the panthom pain
Hilangkan expetasi dan nostalgia berlebih. Bahkan RE 2 yg termasuk bagus banget pun banyak yang ngehate karena g sesuai expetasi, klo emng ngerasa yg clasic lbh sesuai keinginan ya tinggal mainin. Gw fans berat RE enjoy2 aja sama ini RE 3

This is no longer a survival horror game . . .
It rather reminds Resident Evil 6.
When you play for the first time, the game does not give you anything infinite, what happens is that he bought that weapon with infinite ammunition to make the video faster, and without so many detours.

PS5 version is like im watching a full movie. First time watching the entire gameplay without skipping some parts. I finished the PS1 version of this game an I must say this version is perfect. (funny on carlos part when he forgot to get the infinite riffle lol
