Low cost can be good, but the fact is if you are traveling with anything more than what would be traditional free carry on luggage, the cost 'saving' isn't worth it. You can pay $20-50 more for a flight that includes checked bags, gives you free IFE, complementary drinks ect. Honestly anything more than a short 2-3 weekend trip and your better off going with a regular airline. You also get the added benefit of more flights and better flight rerouting/cancelation abilities.
the reason why the exit windows are like that is because there is a hinge on the top of the exit panel so the exit window opens upward. the hinge occupies the top space, so the shade cannot take that space
This was a great video! You should definitely consider flying in the Big Front seat one time! Back in 2016 or 2017 I flew from San Diego to Chicago on Spirit Airlines in the front seat! It was a better product than one might think. Thanks for the video
I really enjoy your channel. The stories I’ve heard about Spirit have prevented me from ever wanting to fly this airline. Glad to see your experiences have been much better. Hope you enjoyed NO and the French Quarter. Some really fantastic food.
I tried to use that transfer too my first time in Chicago but didn't know the schedule. So took a bus to the next nearest Metra station. I now just transfer at Montrose for Metra rides.
I can remember flying People Express Airlines with their 727's and 737's--routing would be HOU-EWR-BOS--PE would charge extra for drinks and their Snack Pack(cheese,sausage,crackers)--fees were 50 cents for non-alcoholic drinks, $3.00 for the snack pack, I believe it was $3.00 per checked bag--could pay for the ticket inflight using a credit card sliding imprinter, flights always full, EWR was a zoo at the now-demolished North Terminal (East Arcade,West Arcade) open seating, loved sitting in the rear of the 727 by the exits, first class legroom and those JT8D's turning over, what lovely sound! Have not flown Spirit but am curious as to what JetBlue will do with the low-cost product and will the Spirit name disaapear? As to your arrival at MSY, doesn't do much good to arrive early if the ramp crew can't access the luggage bins! Surprised even the jetway person couldn't do their thing! Fare-wise,was Spirit any cheaper than the competition?
Thank you bro. Traveling with family on ULCC like Spirit is challenging since all those bags you’d have to pay for. But glad you had a good experience with them!
No way I just got to Cancun flying Spirit from Chicago when you posted this! And we did the same bank with the view of the airport heading south, same Runway and two gates apart I departed from L9
Excellent job with the content and editing on this video. I just booked a Newark to Oakland trip...in seat 13A....which is how I ended up finding this video. Very useful information on what to expect. I hope the seats are upgraded to a bit newer/firmer leather finish when I go...but it's the legroom I'm most concerned with...and I'm pleased to see that 13A seems to have ample space. By the way....my exit seat was (for a transcontinental flight) was only $16 more. That seems like a no-brainer to me.
If you land hard forces will be towards the floor so iff your shade closed top down it would shut and you may not be able to see what's outside to assess if it is safe to evacuate. By closing from the bottom up the window remains open in a harder landing allowing you to see so you can focus on bracing and not outside. Just my assessment/hypothesis
hopefully Jetblue’s merger carries out before Airbus starts making A319NEOs for Spirit. if Jetblue had to inherit Spirit’s A319NEOs, jetblue will have a complexity in their fleet since they already have A220s and they will have to sell them off to a Chinese airline, but then even trying to give those NEOs to a Chinese airline would be a complication since China prefers Tianjin-built Airbuses over Alabama-built ones. hopefully Spirit either converts their A319NEOs to bigger NEO variants beforehand if they don’t cancel those orders

Ayee I took off on that runway to mco this past month and since that was my first time in New Orleans it’s such an amazing airport

THANK YOU!!! Finally a Trip Report showed the ENTIRE takeoff. Kudos!! 😉👍✌️
No problem, I always show the entire takeoff in my trip reports.
Good video
Reminded me that I haven’t flown spirit since 2014

Last time I flew Spirit was from MCI to DTW, and it wasn't too bad. Keep up the great content!!
Great video AS! I actually flew spirit back in spring 2019 from MCI-DTW With my family and it wasn't that bad.
Thank you bro. Traveling with family on ULCC like Spirit is challenging since all those bags you’d have to pay for. But glad you had a good experience with them!
@@ASAviation yep!

Pretty good to see that Spirit is improving a lot. Nice video AS Aviation :)
Thanks a lot!
Wonderful Review Again Hadi Bhai...
Keep up the Efforts..
Thank you bhai
Great video!
Nice work. Have you ever flown Allegiant out of RFD ?
Thank you, I’ve flown Allegiant from IND but never RFD. My dad flew them last year from RFD-LAS.
low cost airlines loves to charge you with everything...
Wonder if they will charge you for seatbelts in the future
are there any Spirit planes left in the ugly “tidepod” livery?
Yes, a few A320’s.
The only reason JetBlue wants to merge with spirit is because they want their airplanes. If this merger goes through say goodbye to reasonable fares.

👍🏼
Geez Spirit really wanna take all people's money when setting up to fly 😂. I'm still not confident on the NK/JB merger. Still feels rather silly..
Welcome to my home of Nola!! This was a great vid!!
Thank you! NOLA is a very special place to my dad so always great to be back.
