it will be better if you hire local guide right there. you will know better about local custom and agriculture tradition. learning about plants, spices, fruits that are growing along the trekk will make your trekking much more interesting.

Thanks! I think it depends on your hiking experience and how comfortable you are with being out in nature alone. I wouldn't say it's strenuous, but rather it's easy to get lost. If you do go solo it would be good to have data on your phone to use maps :)
