just did my first 1000km on the Voge 300 Rally. I sat on both the honda crf 300 Rally and this one in a showroom. The Honda is 3000 euro more, (4800 against 7800 euro) (key in hand, incl reg in my name) but, and this was the clincher for me : the Voge has a 5 year warranty in Portugal. . Basic maintenance material you can order from ali. There are many spanish vlogs on the Voge. 10.000 km without any problems. Others really torture it in real Rally conditions.
Used, with 6000 km and years of warranty, they still fetch 3600 euro. Con: over 90kmh they vibrate a lot. Another sprocket and it gets you up to 110kmh , a smooth ride. ("they" say)
    Perfect for mountains and backroads.
    The Honda has a larger tank/range. 280km against 400.

Great that you are reviewing more affordable options to journey the world.
    This is awesome!
    I have had a CRF300 Rally lately.
You do not need anything, you do not need crasbars, the plastic tiles are enough, they have had scratches but did not brake on the TET, would not add anything on the Honda. The plastic parts are cheap. Even on paved road the bike was down-> nothing broken, nothing, behind the black parts is a huge void!
Imho it makes no sense to push a 7k bike to 10k, than get (used) a T7!
The Honda does nicely on the autobahn. Range: Endless! (2.8l/100km)
For your size though, if you need to change suspension (not just preload) it is not a good choice, get another bike...
The price of the Voge is .... awesome, but it needs long-term experience, the qualities of a CRF (Itchy Boots!) no more words needed....
    Cheers!

Nice Bike, but due to the lack of spare parts and Dealer support I would rather consider to go for a DR,KLR,XT, with low millage.

What about dealer/service network and the supply of parts? I would not trust in a brand that might be gone again next year, like many chinese car brands in europe did in the past.

It's best to keep your eye on what is failing on this bike already... electrics/ wheel bearings, etc plus all the other upgrades people are doing. It's best to treat it as a light off roader than a full on enduro machine. The warranty is quite tight on after market parts fitted so be warned,

The Voge 300 looks really interesting. After I had to part with my Tenere 700, I've been thinking a bit about a second bike that doesn't have as much power as my new Versys 1000. This would give me off-road capability and a cheap vehicle to maintain. I can then ride it with another T7. Thank you for your Video :)

Hi and thanks for the video.
Last year I was interested in the Voge but stumbled over the lack of legal tires? I read in the Voge forum that only 3.00/ 5.10 inch tires are in the papers and no metric size. I checked the market and found one cross type tire. Not suitable for my needs ... Or has Voge added some metric ones in the meantime?
Of course you can go to your approval engineer (TÜV, Dekra,...) and add them by yourself ... But on a new bike the maker should be aware of.

I have been riding for over 40yrs have riden many different bikes including off road and enduro racing, I recently bought a Voge 300 rally these bikes are not of Chinese bikes of the past, it's very comfy light, handles pretty good with the standard tyres isn't to bad off road absolutely great value for money £4054 inc on the ride in the UK. No regrets I also ride a Moto Guzzi v85tt.

Rode a crf250l for a year with all possible power mods / suspension / great tires for it but there's just no way around it being to damn slow.
29 ponies is going to feel about the same. Test rode a drz 400 and hooked on that now, really pulls with its 40hp and about the same weight.
The only place the 250L engine felt sufficient was on the trails, and i weigh about 80kg with gear and all.

  • @DashRendar308
    @DashRendar308 Місяць тому

I just sold my 300l to get a more powerful naked bike again, since I was mostly riding on the road anyway. But at that price point the Voge is really tempting as a second bike and you would not have to be so careful with it, even the suspension is much better than the one on the Honda from what I've heared. It would be great if Voge made a lighter and simpler version, without the windshield and with a smaller fuel tank and head light. I dont need the range on a bike like that.

    About nuts rattleing loose
I had an Keeway 125 for 6 years ( did 30k km with it),nuts and bolts getting loose was a common problem, but do be honest it never was that big of a deal, i just had to check the main bolts from time to time to see if every thing was ok, or even use loctite on some of the more troublesome ones.
If this bike has the same problem, for me at least would't be a deal breaker

200 kg and 80 cv for any offroad bike(and even more, such as Africa Twin or BMW GS which are expensive pieces of junk for boomers in the midlife crisis) are pointless...and 10000 euro are quite a lot of money for any bike...

    • @Hibbicon

@@Hibbicon The KTM 690 is a specialized enduro bike with racing specs and setup and it is even lighter than the voge 300(146 kg, 160 with all the fluids) with more than double displacement...it has nothing to do with the Tuareg which is a touring bike with some off-road capability...the KTM is a rally bike made specifically for off-road racing(like a yamaha R1 or a panigale V4 are road bikes with racing specs...pointless for touring and relaxed road trips)...if you just want to enjoy off-road you don't need power, you need lightness...light bikes are cheaper and more fun to drive...and if you drop them(if you do some serious off road it will happen) you don't have problem to put them up and go...I own a beta Alp 200cc bike for off road riding...it has 15 hp and weighs 100kg...and it is air cooled, which means that you don't have a radiator that could break up if you drop the bike on a stone... try to drop your Tuareg on a stone or a woad...i garantee you that repairs will be expensive...(if you don't total the bike)

Good, bad, cheap or expensive, I just ask myself one question, would I wish to live under Chinese rule? And the answer is an emphatic no. So why support such a country when there are alternatives to buy that are manufactured in democratic countries? Yes, I fully understand how the world works but where there are alternatives I'll spend my money elsewhere.
