    I know this is an older video, but I was wondering It looked like your cover was very flexible, I am having trouble with phone stands using Alumilite even after 3 or more days they are not very sturdy bend to easy did you have that issue?

      Once the epoxy cures completely it will not break or bend. But just like anything else with the right amount of force anything is possible. I gave mine to my 4 year old and it’s still alive and kicking. Hope this helps

      @@GLITTAFULLLC Thank you! Your comment helps a lot. I’ve never seen or hold an epoxy in this form so I was just curious.

    Do you have to use alcohol links? Or can use acrylic paint or something else? Where do yo get the alcohol links?

    • @GLITTAFULLLC
      @GLITTAFULLLC  4 роки тому +1

      Iris Monae I have not tried using acrylic paints but I’m sure it’s possible because it’s done in resin art. - I buy my inks on amazon. However in the next week or so we will be carrying the entire selection on alcohol inks on our website.

      Peter Brown has some GREAT videos on alternative dyes. Sadly, there isn't a substitute for Alcohol dyes and the effect they create.
      However, you're just looking for a cheap variety of colors the following work great!:
      Sidewalk Chalk
      Glowsticks
      Turmeric powder
      Highlighters
      Acrylic Paint (in moderation)
      Charcoal powder

      You can find alcohol inks on Amazon, or at most craft stores. I got mine at Hobby Lobby, and they were on sale for $0.99.

    Thanks for the video! Every time I make a notebook I get pooling in the middle. Do you have any idea why that would happen?

    • @GLITTAFULLLC
      @GLITTAFULLLC  4 роки тому +1

      Nikki Burr Honestly I don’t have the technical answer. What I do is wait a little to apply the epoxy so it’s thicker and less runny. Since it’s less mobile the pooling doesn’t happen as much. Hope this helps. ❤️❤️

      Check the level of your table. It could be have a dip in the middle of it or be otherwise unlevel.

    • @jessicamcdowell1374
      @jessicamcdowell1374 4 роки тому

      I am pretty new to resin, but I would check your work surface. If you work surface isn't level your resin won't be either. I would check you mold too. If your mold is inconsistent when on a level surface it will effect how consistent the thickness of your finished project is.

      +Janscreatons This project is so much fun. I would try this or a smaller resin craft would be earring molds so you can play with ink and glitter. Both crafts are great for starting.

      Definitely start with something smaller. Lots of people start big and mess up big. By starting with a few small projects and building up to a notebook, you'll save time, money and resin!
      Also, definitely watch videos by people like Peter Brown and Evan and Katelyn. I believe they both have "Resin tips and tricks" or "Things to avoid for beginners" type videos. Would recommend.

    You said it was 60ml resin. Is that for each side or 30ml/30ml for each side?

    • @GLITTAFULLLC

      Rachael Cox no. For just one mold.

    Which side do you use as the front? The top or the bottom? Or is it different with each one you make? Does the gutter sink in a mold?

    • @GLITTAFULLLC
      @GLITTAFULLLC  5 років тому

      👋 Hi. You can choose whatever side you want to be your front or back. You’ll see both sides are smooth. Nothing actually sinks into the mold, unless you push it down with the popsicle stick like I did when I was swirling around the design

    Does torch and heat gun was used? And which one should I get plzz

    • @GLITTAFULLLC
      @GLITTAFULLLC  5 років тому

      Mona Azzam hey Mona! I used the torch. I would buy the torch it saves you time and it’s a great space saver!

    • @Roboboy17
      @Roboboy17 4 роки тому

      Torch = Less resin movement, more concentrated heat
      Heat gun = Moves resin around, wider area heated up.
      Depends on what you want in your final project

      If you do it, make sure to let it sit for awhile though! People often think k a project failed due it's bendiness, but that's usually a sign it just hasn't fully cured yet.
      Depending on the resin used, 24-48 is usually what I wait to ensure a full cure.

  • @Shanaragreen

    Can you make one with paper stickers🤔🤔

    • @jessicamcdowell1374
      @jessicamcdowell1374 4 роки тому +1

      You should be able to, but you wolf need to do two resin poors. I'd do a clear poor that you embed the stickers face down in, let that one set for 3 to 5 hours (depending on you resin instructions and cure time),and do a second poor with your colors to seal the stickers in. You may also want/need to seal your stickers with mod podge before putting g them in resin.
