You can say that (dangerous) about every interview that is done in the public, on a street, or a park or on a corner. You obviously believe that this particular area and these particular gangs are responsible for more homicides than normal, but if you look at the data, there are over a dozen communities in LA that have yielded more violence and homicides than this particular location. Realistically, the danger you are talking about is perceived. Anyone that researches gangs, through ethnography, interviews, observation, journalism, exposes themselves to potential dangers, but not any more than anyone else walking down the street. I am wearing my journalist cap, and that's what we do to deliver a story. Thanks for checking out the channel and I appreciate your views.

A good friend was in the streets, he was ambushed by 4 guys as he pulled up to a friend's house. They unloaded a 100 round clip. He was hit 5 times jumping from front to back of the car. He lost his leg as a bullet when down knee and out the bottom of his foot. He survived because he was highly intoxicated. With a prosthetic leg he returned back to the streets until a guy came up to him while he was standing in the door of his car and shot him multiple times. He has 3 kids and the no arrest even when the first guys were ex friends of his , this was in Detroit. R.I.P.
