Hi Mark, thanks for these videos, I'm scheduled for FOV on my left eye in just under 2 weeks, getting nervous now but your videos have re-assured me somewhat and I'm confident it will be worth it. Hope your doing well now with the right eye, I'm planning on doing similar to you in getting the left eye done first which has the worst floaters, then making a decision on the right eye in a couple of years all going well. oh hi Mark...i had PRK and within two years i developed floaters opthemologists say it had nothing to do with it but i dont believe it now i need to consider FOV you had Lasik too right? hope you are doing well
@@markirish8907 it is crazy that lots of people who have Lasik or other refractive eye surgerys develop floaters and yet it is not mentioned in the consent form. opthemologists say it is because of near-sightedness but again these floaters formed after the surgery i wonder whether it is safe to have FOV after Lasik or PRK ?
Who was the surgeon in Virgina that performed your first surgery? Also when you've undergone these surgeries have they induced PVD or did you already had that happen?
Btw have you developed a cataract after this or did you already have that? Did your surgeon give you any sortnof projektion for that? Thank you also for all the work your doing, you're helping a lot of people who feel that there is no hope.
I'm glad it is helpful. I have not had a cataract, although many doctors I have spoke with suggest it will accelerate that potential later in life. I have not had any issues and I'm willing to take that risk, but it may not be right for everyone

@@markirish8907 Hi Mark thanks for your reply how bad where then before vs now. I have a huge one that gets in my way mainly when driving it’s not dark it looks like a very thick fog which blocks the view of faces etc. specially when in my pc. I basically look a bit to side to get it out of the way. Why couldn’t he remove them all. I am Sorry for the 50 questions. Just concerned. I really only have 1 good eye which is the one with the floaters
Nice to meet you. I am 25 years old and Japanese. I am not good at English, but let me ask you a question. I also had a vitrectomy to remove my floaters. By the way, it is lens preservation. My vision became beautiful right after the surgery. However, after a few months, I started to see black vertical lines at the edge of my vision. It does not jump around in my vision like floaters.It is fixed at the edge of my vision and moving in that spot. Does Mark have any such symptoms?

@@乱美迫-t3s I have a few black spots in my peripheral vision that have gotten less noticeable with time, but they are still present. Fortunately they are less of a problem than the original floaters

I had multiple - long and stringy but also what I would call webs. Very obtrusive and impacting my quality of life

I have been doing fine, he couldn't get rid of all the floaters but my vision is better than before. I took a few days off work
