OLED is nice and all...but if you're spending $900 on a laptop with no dGPU in it, just for a nice display, why not go for an HP Pavilion Plus 14 with AMD? 8845HS + 16GB + 1TB + 2880x1800 OLED display for $889.99 currently. You could even spec it up to have 32GB which is non-upgradeable in either of these laptops, although it's an extra $150. If you can afford to trim the storage (maybe you have an external SSD and don't need as much internal storage space?) then the 8845HS + 32GB + 512GB + 2880x1800 OLED display spec is $920.
F* it, i got my Vivobook Pro 14 OLED with 5600H+RTX 3050 with 16gb ram for only $669,, and it still has better power even tho it is a couple generation behind,,

Just got this laptop a few days ago, battery life is great, 10hrs easily, that was really surprising. Display looks amazing for the price. I always shop in that price range, and this definitely stands out.

Good review. A solid mid-range ultrabook, and for many mid-range is the way to go due to premium Windows machines now being close to double this in price (XPS 14, LG Gram 14, Galaxy Book4 Pro 14, Surface Laptop 6, etc). Glad you pointed out that these benchmark battery tests do not represent real life and I can understand why Windows OEMs like them being used as they do overplay the battery SOT. I usually discount by 33% but with the caveat that higher brightness can drain that time even further. Good bang for your bucks but I have seen the MB Air M2 13-inch for only a little bit more and if like me you use your ultrabook for casual work meaning 8GB/256GB is enought, then I would still choose the Mac. But there is a good reason Windows has a natural monopoly, the reluctance of people to move OS'es so in Windows-land the Vivobook S14 is shortlist material.
65wh battery with core ultra 7 gives around 6-8 hours of rough use. And over 9 hours of casual use. I wish if They had a 75+ wh option. Sadly lenovo didn't offer at the time i bought the Yoga
Apart from the laptop itself, is it just me or the Copilot keycap is kinda unnecessary and more of a marketing thingy? I mean we can still access Copilot by just one or two clicks.
Everything about the new Copilot+ PCs are a complete and utter scam. Full stop. Under no circumstances should you pay extra for a "Copilot+ PC", because they can't do literally anything apart from a couple gimmicks in MS paint. No matter how much they beef up those NPUs, Copilot or any other usable LLM will never run locally on a laptop. Other features like Recall might be helpful if you're into that, but at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if the entire Recall project is scrapped altogether. The dedicated copilot button is just icing on the cake of the misguided AI insanity that's been going on at these big tech companies.

I have the s14 oled 2022 version .. display is very nice 2.8k 90hz no burning issue till now (its been two years since i bought) but the thing i feel more concern is the battery life it’s really degrading faster than i thought currently at 77% health
Only issue with the Unstable drivers as they're very new. A driver can break ur performance. I had issue with video playback on battery . Which was fixed after an update
If this was this price with like an Ultra 5 125H/ Ryzen 7 8845H with a 2.5k 120Hz OLED screen it'd be a GOAT level thin-and-light, but 1200p is meh, and 60Hz really hurts
US prices are confusing to me. I have the Vivobook 14 pro model with a 3060gpu and the R7 6800HS, 16GB, 90Hz refresh rate, oled 2.8k - for the exact same price in China, official Asus shop.

I ordered the AMD 16" version of this, suppose to be delivered on Friday. I'm hoping I can swap the SSD in that one just like the Intel one. But on Asus website it says "up to 1TB" for the m5606
I used to have an acer laptop and I contacted them for the max SSD limit and they said up to 2tb. I then bought a 4tb ssd and put it in and its working fine 2 years later. I think the up to amount is not the theoretical max but what they're willing to ship it with so you should be fine. Btw the 4tb is on a laptop with an 8th gen intel u series low power CPU so I think you should be fine. Did you get one with 32gb ram? That's what I'm interested in and whether its 3.2k oled at 120hz and then what you paid for this. Thanks in advance.

I have the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 with Core Ultra 7 and it costed me around 99k here in india and im so much impressed with the battery life, speaker and display. I wanted something powerful yet portable. I went for this since the Vivobook S14 wasn't available here. Im so satisfied with the choice I didnt bother much about the dGPU as i have another gaming laptop. Major issue is the unstable early drivers for Arc graphics

for the price of an equal spec macbook you could just buy a new vivobook if it breaks, but even if you still payed the extra for a macbook apple will only fix it if you have apple care, and for the extra price of that you could also get a warrenty for the vivobook

An ultra 7 would've been more than enough, this laptop won't squeeze all the power from the ultra 9 but for that price I can't complain.
