My favorite kind of videos right now are these where you just upgrade smaller/office type systems like these, often times quite old, and give it newer hardware for it to have a new life (also combined with good detail cleaning of the inside too). Love it! Keep up the good work :)
Glad you like them! I really like taking refurb/older hardware and giving it some attention and highlighting that even through it's a bit older it is still really good technology.
why are random words highlighted yellow? also the purple thing following the words looks like a poorly made tiktok video voiced and edited by ai + a random template from capcut
He also needs to defrag the BIOS and partition the CPU and update the drivers for the power supply. I did that and now I can play frogger on ultra settings at 350 Fps 😎
I collected four of these for free at my job. They were not that old when I sold them on eBay for an average of 250 bucks each. The management is still wondering where they are to this day.
Upgraded to a cor i 7 lga 1151 added ddr 4 to 32Gb and added a meve drive ... i also got a new gráfic card 3060 with 12GB unfortunately dosent fit in the case will be upgrading the case soom..
The system is designed to handle 65-watt processors on the LGA 1151 socket, but you're correct that the heatsink isn’t optimized for such a thermal load. However, this CPU will rarely operate at maximum load and reach its peak TDP. The fan will consistently run at over 60% capacity to maintain proper cooling, which is acceptable for this device.
@@tesrteckI just want to see how you would upgrade or modify it, as I've ordered the model with minimal specs and plan to upgrade it. I also read that some users were able to modify the CPU socket to support 8th and 9th gen processors, which is pretty cool. It would be great if there's a guide for it that I/we can follow.

also you shouldn't use different capacity ram sticks, as in this example when the usage goes above 8 gigs it will drop out of dual channel mode

Depends on what you have. Sometimes capacity is preferable to performance.
In this case Capacity was the focus
12Gb was more useful to this platform.
Man, what an awesome video. You deserve a lot more views than this. Just give it some time, I guarantee you will be one of the next big tech UA-camrs.

I would not be putting a 65-watt chip in a system designed to cool only a 35-watt chip.
