literally just finished the book. And cried because of the ending, was just an overwhelming series of questions and emotions that i felt. Really not sure if im emotionally mature to accept the way it ended but i think with some time i will come to accept it. But wow a book that is just out of this world and for some reason now has a place in my heart
It was my first time to read a book written by this amazing writter Paulo Coelho ... now I m just to finish alchemist and trust me I m madly trying to get his other books...
I have read the first 100 Pages. So far it's interesting but the writing is different from Alchemist or Brida. The book so far seems like many small patches/stories put together, lacking any coherence. I am psychologically liking it coz of P.C.
I just finished this book last week. I did relate to a lot of the spiritual messaging with regards to unconditional love and how to deal with the unknown (whether his wife left him or was kidnapped). However I was taken aback when on the last page, he finds out that she is pregnant from another man, and has almost no reaction. Perhaps that was meant to leave for the reader to think for themselves. Otherwise, not a bad read.
I think so too. I also felt it's just another lesson in unconditional love. He loves her, and in turn, I believe hell love this child, even though he didnt technically create it... but he knew how she wanted children, and throughout the journey of finding his way back to her, its just another lesson in letting go of expectations and loving fully. That's so amazing you just finished it!!!! What's next on the reading list?
@@stephblodgett Currently reading "No Hero" by Mark Owen. It's a non-fiction book about Navy SEAL training. My next fiction book will be Crime and Punishment, I have long awaited to read it, I've had it on my shelf for over a year now.
Ohhhhh I bet those both are really good. I've started a book called you are the universe and it's very much involved with physics.. lol! When I get through it, I'll lyk how it is 😂 it's a tougher one.
I'm currently reading this book. I'm really loving it. It's such s moving book. I agree that Paulo brings his own life experiences in his book. At some point I was not sure if The Zahir was fiction because the story reminded me of Paulo himself. But it's fiction and it's well executed.
This was my April 2021 book of the month, I loved it. I loved Paulo's style of writing. The spiritual aspects of the book were very timely for me. However, THE ALCHEMIST gets a 10/10 for me The Zahir an 8/10
i cant get over how good the book was, i’ve been so attached to it. can you recommend similar book that are ethnic and not set only in the west. would really really appreciate it!!!
Hi maam.. I just wanna ask the ending of the story which ends up ester being impregnated by someone.. I cant understand the concept of it.. She was saying that she did wait the guy but what happen to her was in contrast to what she was saying... (Pls dont confuse me with hating the book.. I actually love the book, I was just confuse in the ending part)
IMO, It shows that he understands that he does not own her, nor entitled to her. There is a part where Dos says, "What makes you think that your efforts should be rewarded with the submission, gratitude, and recognition of the person you love?"... Plus, the narrator mentions that he had been with other women but they do not talk about that among the two of them, and he never asked her about her extra-marital relationships too.
I just finished it last night and was searching about how other people felt so that's how I landed to your video. For me it was disappointing experience. Most of life I have known about empaths, energies, auras. This book only touched the surface of it and some concepts are even mentioned in way too wrong way or Author himself was unaware of it. Like why Mikhail start doubting visions. It was not mentioned. But reason in my opinion was excessive drinking. When you start loving materialistic things then these visions are lost. It need to have clean soul to see it. I did wrote a long review of it at my FB profile but that's not completely in English so wont be any better in sharing it.
That makes sense honestly... but I took it more for face value I think. I really loved the story and felt like it was more of a (heartbreaking) love story than anything else... even more than the visions and the 'mystical' aspects, but I love hearing both sides of it and how people genuinely feel!
@steph prism , your take on hearing how people genuinely feel about the book made me write a comment for the very first time in my huge you tube experience.... You are one of those very few people who's actually practicing and preaching the same
Hello there, and thank you so much for this video ! 🤗 Although I’m kinda late, cuz I finished it just yesterday, I thought maybe I would share my viewpoint. I felt incredibly drawn to read it, perhaps because now is when im aware that I’m truly accepting, surrendering and healing to the journey of an almost identical situation. In this case, I was the role of Esther, but also acting and thinking just like Paulo simultaneously; as I left the connection to find peace of mind and grow. It was a sudden disappearance, but I knew deep down we both needed it in order to elevate. And it simply couldn’t happen at the time while being together. It’s about to be almost two years now… Leaving him hurt me probably more than he’ll ever know, it was unbearable to deal with… In hindsight though, now, after the storm has passed, after the countless mini series of awakenings that have taken place (and still do), I can see why it was all necessary to happen just the way it did. I’m no longer obsessing on whether we’ll be back together, if it’s meant to play out that way it will. I’ve learned and grew so much since then, that even in the harsh slap reality check the drifting apart from him gave me, I wouldn’t change the journey for the world. From the bottom of my heart, I hope my Zahir is well wherever he is in life at this moment in time, and I thank him for triggering my growth/awakening journey in ways I never thought were possible. I apologise if I’ve hurt him too, but I truly wish he has grown and that he got to learn all that his soul needed from this. This book touched me on a personal level. At times, it would be a bit over-descriptive, but since we know how Coelho writes, and this book illustrates if anything, THE JOURNEY, the details are then justified. It wasn’t a lovey-dovey happy end in terms of what most people would expect, but I absolutely loved the realistic approach it gave us. Much love and light to the world ! ❤️✨
I couldn't understand the ending of this book : Esther becomes pregnant by another man and her husband is ok with that ! This strange scene at the end ruined my entire experience of this book.
@@kirankanwar5566 i would not recommend this book to you , it is such a waste if time and money . I myself being a fan of Paulo coelho bought this book because i thought that it would be as great as The Alchemist but this was literally Shit ! The Summary : "There is a couple; the wife is an war correspondent ( a journalist who reports about war) and the husband is an author . The wife gets bored of the relationship and decides to find happiness through travelling and living with the soldiers during war. She leaves her husband without informing him or even telling him where she is going , She just leaves . Then the husband is so obsessed with her that he can't live without her and keeps thinking about her , he calls this constant thought of her as "Zahir" . But despite the fact that the can't live happily without her wife , he gets into another relationship and makes love with the other woman ( Logical ?) . Then he becomes dependant on a person named Mikhail in order to find her wife , he (the author/husband) then sets on a journey to find the whereabouts of her wife but he gets to find himself ! (What the heck is wrong with Paulo ? Why does he always writes about this "Find yourself" shit ? ) . At the end , he finds her only to know that she is already pregnant by another stranger . (Totally illogical ending). And in the book he (Paulo) doesn't stick to the main theme , that is , he adds non relating stories for example , he talks about going to a party and the type of people present at a party , that has nothing to do with the main idea of the book !
