I know Bay is famous for the explosions, but in AOE he is literally just slapping explosions in places they don't make sense. For example:
Optimus smashes through a wooden door, and it explodes.
Forget that, what about him smashing Grimlock in the face with his shield and then he hits the ground. Where in the heck did those explosions come from!? There are in the wilderness, I don't see any explosive material, do you?

Looks to me like Optimus is firing his gun as he exits, as opposed to just bursting through the wooden door, so the explosions are likely from that
How do you explain that scene where Cade, Tessa, and other guy are running with 2 rows of random explosions going off either side of them in perfect timing as they run, without them being harmed at all?

6 years ago this trailer came out. 6 years ago my love for the transformers franchise was revamped and increased. And 6 years ago I saw this movie, my personal favorite of the franchise...the colors, the characters, everything was beautiful to me...I understand some people’s grievances about this movie, but personally this was the best movie I had seen, so much so that it inspired me to begin writing my own story about the transformers...unfortunately If I want to get it published advertised and such I’d have to change the characters and stuff to avoid copyright troubles. But the finer points don’t matter, I’m here to express my gratitude to those who worked so hard on this movie and to those who keep this franchise running. Thank you for inspiring generations and making some great content for the masses. Thank you for making this movie, it was an important part of my childhood and I most definitely would NOT be the same person I am today had this movie (and it’s predecessors and sequels) didn’t ever exist.
You're so right. What people don't realise is that transformers is supposed to be a enjoyable movie for everyone to watch and enjoy. It's not a romance or a psychological thriller with Oscar worthy scripts and acting, it's part of the movies that are praised for it's work on breathtaking set pieces and actions

This movie was amazing.the visual effects were breathtaking and the actions scenes were very satisfying and lockdown is so badasss...the only thing i hated about this movie are some of the pointless dialogues.
Halo has better effects on the Windows XP than this crap.

Not gonna lie, this is actually looking promising. The Michael Bay tendencies seem toned down and the movie definitely gives off a semi-serious vibe (with a hint of cheese, hence Dinobots) that I really wanted out of a Transformers movie. Hopefully it'll be a lot better than the last two movies
8 years later… didn’t age too well. Especially the bit about the Michael Bay tendencies seeming ‘toned down’, when they were arguably at their peak with this one.
@@spengler2258100% disagree with that statement. 1-3, particularly 2-3, had very annoying diversions from the main plot, and waaaaaay more annoying comedy. 4 kept the plot very much on track, though unfortunately lost a lot of the iconic transformers. For me, this is the most consistently entertaining transformers film, while the others suffer from side plots and annoying humor

One of my friends isn't a TF fan, but has claimed that no peice of media will ever be worse than ALL FIVE of the Bay films. I told him that Energon would make the Bay films look like Shakespeare at the very worst in his eyes. He refuses to believe me. How do I get him to realize that actual TF fans know what things from the franchise are good and bad?

^ yes!!! When I bag on bay it's mainly because of ROTF, The Fallen was so incredibly powerful..... and yeah Optimus just rips his face off and done deal. I'm glad you caught that, thank you - I should've been more specific, whoopsie. Idk, I guess what made me most upset was the characters in the movie versus in G1 and even in the comic books. I knew they'd be different but like for example Soundwave..... Soundwave was one of the greatest cons and he is pretty much useless all the way through, until he's killed off.

I actually like what they're doing with the story. Pretty clever to move into the future with it where none of the other human characters need to pop up.

Also, if you're a big Transformers fan, and haven't played them yet, you definitely should play Transformers War For Cybertron and Fall Of Cybertron. Both games were better than Michael Bay's first 3 movies, IMO.
It's one of those movies that will probably suck but I'm going to end up watching it anyway. I just hope Mark's mom doesn't show up and ask if he's been masturbating... or go running around all crazy after eating pot brownies. No guarantees, I'm sure.
Even if it's not going to be better than the first film, I hope it's better than Revenge of the Fallen and maybe Dark of the Moon.

I just checked and it only had 2 which is showed multiple times. One on the front porch and one hanging up in has "garage". He also has the design on one spray painted onto something too. But that was it.

I posted this once before, but I'll say it again for the ignorant people: At the end of the day, I've loved Transformers since I was a kid. The toys, the cartoons, everything Transformers, I loved. As I got older, I was so excited for the movie in 2007. Was it perfect? No. Was it still very good? YES! Was the 2nd and 3rd film as good, no. Did they have a lot of flaws? Yeah, they did. But were they Transformers films, and fun to watch? Yes. Not every movie we like has to be a sophisticated, well thought out movie. It's okay to watch a few action movies. People just like transformers so I don't know why everyone hates on these movies. If you don't like them, don't watch them. it's that simple. Why waste time bashing a movie, and people who like it, just because you don't like it? It makes no sense, and makes you as "Mindless and stupid," as you say these Transformers films are.

People like the climax to be a victory, the audience has spoken, Mark Wahlberg is in it, I think it will be interesting to say the least.

Honestly I think it was a good move to get rid of Shia and the whole "teenage guy romance" shit. Mark Wahlberg is an awesome actor and I think having a father/daughter relationship on screen will have a much bigger impact on the audience (especially the guys with kids). I'm excited!
