Age of Extinction's my 3rd favorite out of all the movies, behind The Last Knight (2nd place) & Rise of the Beasts (1st place).
Just got back from watching this in 3D and I think it is the best Transformers movie yet.

I'll miss the Sam and Bumblebee duo but this looks really promising. I can't believe they would hunt Optimus Prime and the Autobots after they saved the planet four times. Also nice to see the Dinobots making an appearance in the movie! My childhood is liking this trailer a lot.

This is the biggest must-see of the year.
lol to all the haters saying this will suck and they won't see it because Michael Bay is directing it. haha! There is no one else BUT Michael Bay to direct these movies. He was born to make them! Y'all complain about how it's all CGI with not much of a human story...right! Look at the cartoons...all they were was robots fighting! That's what Bay is doing, except in a much more awesome way.
Actually, the problem with the first three movies is that they focused too much on the humans and not on the Transformers, plus while the trailers tend to look amazing each movie has been terrible when it came to the writing.
Prepare yourself though we are getting the same writer who wrote ROTF.
Meaning two things: shotty attempts at comedic relief and well the typical romance plot with the female damsel in distress (no offense to the actress playing Cade Yaegers daughter). Ugh! At least Mikaela *tried* to kick ass. -___-
He also wrote Dotm. And the first movie if i'm not mistaken, and he has help. Not to mention Rotf was written during a writers strike...cut the guy some slack.
I'm pretty sure this is the first time it's just him writing it... in the previous movies the comedy was there because *Bay* *wanted* *it* *to* *be* *there*. This time around Bay said he was trying to get rid of the goofiness... he would not accept a script like that.

This is the most cohesive and non-cohesive film in the entire series. Here are my reasons:
Reason it's cohesive: The film tells its own story. The film doesn't have any connective tissue from any other films in the franchise, minus a reference for the Battle Of Chicago. The story revolves around the created and its creators. The creators are essentially pissed off that both Autobots and Decepticons have literally made a mess in the universe, so, in order to right the wrongs, they hire Lockdown to bring back Optimus Prime. Lockdown has no allegiance to anyone, but, he honors his word and deals he makes. He teams up with Attinger, a government idiot who only believes in "Us or Them" Ideology, to capture Optimus Prime, by hunting down other Autobots in order to force them to give them his location. He was even willing to let Ratchet live if he just said where he was. The taskforce that was created, Cementary Wind, is used to hunt down Autobots, even though the government believes they're hunting only Decepticons. The other self-centered plot is KSI, an organization that is creating new Transformers from both dead Autobots 2 and Decepticons. The CEO and founder secretly made a deal with Cementary Wind. That's pretty self explanatory. Megatron, whose mind was downloaded in order to make the new transformers, was not really dead, as originally thought, so he intentionally fed KSI all the things needed to make transformers, then hacked and taken control of "Galvatron". He manipulated the CEO to teaming up with Cementary Wind in order to get the "Seed", a lifeblood of all transformers, used by the creators. All of these individual stories within the nearly 3 hour movie were told perfectly. There was essentially not a problem with editing, in my opinion anyway. Even the Yeager family storyline was told perfectly fine as well. They were dragged into this after the father bought a truck.
Reasons it's non-cohesive: There is no mention of creators and creation in the three predecessors before this, minus the Allspark, which I'm not counting. The film doesn't explain what happened to Sam Witwicky, the Autobots in the film make it seem like he didn't matter to him. Hell, not even Bumblebee mentions him. I understand that everything cannot be put into a film, but there was virtually no explanation of what happened to Sam. They could've said he went into hiding or that he was killed by Cementary Wind shortly after the taskforce was created. There was no mention of him. And the other Autobots introduced out of nowhere didn't have any explanation of how they got to Earth or how they reacted to the whole betrayal.
Let me put all your minds at ease. I was in this movie for 3 mths. Detroit and Chicago. The story line is awesome. Michael Bay even said the first 3 weren't that great so he stepped it up for this one. There will be many surprises and will set up another 5th and 6th film. You will not be disappointed. Huge, mega blockbuster.

Actually lockdown is a decepticon they showed it in this trailer. The part with him walking and that cybertronian ship behind him shows that he is a decepticon . The only reason why u think he is not a decepticon is because when that guy said this is wat they are made of and they should him transforming. Lockdown is a decepticon ,they just used that part as a deception just like in the amazing spider man 2 . They put the ending scene in 1 of their trailers and most people thought it would be the first battle scene when it was actually the ending scene.

Elvir Mulahmetovic you can expect a story line when it's based on comics which actually have a story line but i see your point.
The point is that the plot and dialogue needs to be interesting enough for me to wait god knows how long until the fun action kicks in. I can't speak for everyone but when I go see a movie like transformers I expect the focus to be on the robots not 2 hrs of dumbass comedy/romance with a total of 20 min robot on robot violence sprinkled here and there to justify ticket admission

I was 14 when this came out. I saw it 3 times in theaters: once in IMAX 3D & twice in 2D.
MOVIE OF 2014 RIGHT HERE!!!!!!! There really is no reason why anybody shouldn't like this, but everybody deserves to express their opinion. Go ahead stay home when the movie comes out. The rest of us will be having a blast seeing Optimus and Grimlock kicking ass on the big screen!!!!

Faith in humanity: -1000 for fucking over the Autobots trying to help us.

I really hope some how megatron comes back..Which I highly doubt He was a great villan and was so ruthless. Just hope this time optimus prime isnt stuck in wires for the whole movie again.
I think he will near the end of tf 4 . Because the humans r building thier own transformers ,then they will try to use real transformers body parts to see what they can learn about them and how they function . They did that in transformers animated( transformers tv show series) then they could possibly bring him back as galvatron .

griffin weaver that's not megatron that's lockdown and it's kind of been confirmed. And if u look closely at the trailer. The part where optimus gets nocked to the wall, u can see his real face and it doesn't resemble the megatron from the other 3 movies. In the series his face rarely changes as much. He just gets a bigger crown. That decepitcons face is not even closely looking from the past galvatrons. Lockdown is known for having things like this.
griffin weaver 1:58 to be exact is where u can see that real decepticons face. Just because megatron is not around doesn't mean there can't be any other leader besides him. In the series there were leaders of the decepticons even tf 2 there was one.

Megatron was rebuilt by humans and is now Galvatron. Lockdown will be the main villain, hes the guy whose head turns into a gun. Ratchet dies in the movie and has been confirmed. There will be three new autobots: drift (no footage yet), crosshairs (you've seen him shooting two guns while parachuting out a window or something), and hound (hes the guy that throws the grenade and has the beard). There are also 5 dinobots: grimlock, slug, scorn, slash, and strafe.
Looks so good! Glad they got rid of Shia.

Good movie, only part that i hated was the girl who played Tessa. Her acting was like Kim kardasian's acting in Diaster movie. Just total shit. But good movie and everyone else acting was on point.

But this movie was really good, I got chills at the Clone part and ppl who keep saying its the same plot as the first three movies obviously are ignorant. They've changed up the whole plot but kept the persona of the original characters (autobots) and showed that they could build relationships with some humans again.

Just watched this today.... I walked out!!! If your a fan of generation 1... Don't watch it's complete rubbish. stay away.. I won't give examples because people might want to watch it, if they have enjoyed the last three.
What annoys me is effing bay.. Always using the humans a front and not letting the transformers be the main characters always in the back ground... like there not apart of the story.. Seems Bay has isolated them to a point and went for a more human style story... Which is rubbish... It's about Autobots vs the Decepticons.. the humans are supposed to be scared not trying to be bloody heroes.... I really hate Bay with a passion!!!
