I still have this phone afther 5 years. Its been everywhere with me and everything works perfectly, Battery is still good but the software updates no longer updates.
As for the P30 Pro itself, I got one myself and I think its cameras are great, especially when it comes to the main and telephoto ones. One can take pictures with the main camera in a pitch-dark environment and still get a relatively bright image thanks to its sensor. And the P30 Pro was one of the two first devices to come with 5x telephoto periscope lenses, the other one being the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom (not to be confused with the more recent Oppo Reno 10).
Actually the ban was issued before the Mate 30 lineup was released. So, unfortunately, the Mate 30 lineup doesn't come with Google Services, although one can install Google apps inside a sandbox.
nice video, I actually just picked this phone up a few days ago. hopefully arriving in a few days. honestly, the p30 pro is way better than a newly released budget phone or mid range. the p30 pro was way ahead of its time, it did not look like a phone from 2019.
Yes! I love this take. I finally caved and bought a Samsung S22, my huawei p30 lite has a cracked screen and still has a better phone experience. Like minds United ✌🏾
@@budgetphotography413 thank you. I was more wondering about banking apps specifically. Also could you recommend a best for a bang for buck $$ new mid range phone with a great camera? It can be Chinese etc I'm not brand biased. Thanks
The video asserts great significance to GMS which is not quite correct. GMS have declined over the passed two years, majority of Google apps now have very low ratings, to put it plainly Google apps are crap.
I've been a proud owner of the P30 Pro for 4 years plus before it died on me a few months ago. It'd travelled to several countries with me. It's the camera that kept me with it these whole years; I actually relied a lot on the camera on many occasions. I especially enjoyed its Night Mode. It's not perfect, yes, but it was one of the very few first smartphones that excelled at it at the time. I never thought I would see a review of this model in 2024, but I'm glad the algorithm brought me here. It'll surely be missed. 🥲
i bought a 2nd hand p30 pro last december 2023 and it is harmonyOS...the video is cinematic.
Exact video i was looking for ❤️thanks

Hmmm. Is that a huge deal? Does it interrupt your app services?
It will do in the long run in about a year or 2
@@Shay416 not at all

@@eagleturbo5475 when will that be? This phone never got an software update in years lol
