The center column screws onto the monopod if you can fix the column lock . Im 6ft 1 in and monopod is pkenty long enough !!

Since learning that one of the recommended videos at the top of the youtube home page is always a video with low views, I've always clicked on that video first to find channels I never would've known existed otherwise. the photos are taken of the place where they shot the Misfits, that's pretty cool I think. ye the p30 pro... what an amazing phone. served me well for the 5 years I used it. The battery is still the way it was on the day it came out the box. Only reason I got a new one, is the lack of updates on the Huawei. I know Chinese market has better support (no surprise) but ye, us Europeans haven't got a chance. Got myself an s24 ultra and I'm loving it :) still using the p30 pro as a music player.

Great video! In reply, I personally like the vlog videos exploring somewhere (like in nature), gear reviews, and videos where you talk through editing photos or videos. And I'd recommend the challenge of bringing the 300mm to try to get some unique shots!

As someone that just entered the camera world, I just picked up my very first camera which is a Canon r100. From everything that I've gathered, it's obviously at the bottom of the barrel or the rf mount cameras. I think the RP stands at the same place that the R100 stands. It's going to be the stepping stone. I've seen a couple of those RP around that go for 500 to $600 so my guess is that whoever wants to start off there in the full frame RF that would be it And for whoever is starting from at the bottom of the barrel like me and wants to try out a full frame. That's it also

if you plan to go Sony you will be able to keep using your EF glass as well

the RP looks like a good foot-in-the-door body for the RF mount it's under 1k and takes 26mp photos, I use Canon entry-level DSLR which are rated for 500 photos so to me the need to carry an extra battery isn't that big of a deal but if you are coming from Canons pro line I can see the disappointment.

Nice video, but if you're telling us you have plans to switch to Sony, don't buy the RF70-200mm... 😉 i'm planning to buy a R6 next to my 1DX Mark II, to have the choices of both worlds, i have a lot of L lenses so i won't buy RF glass, i had a EOS R body some time ago, and the EF-EOS R adapter works very good with the L lenses, and you're right, the L lenses are cheaper nowadays, i bought recently the EF 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 IS II for only 1300 euro, as good as new 🍻

Photochromic lenses darken in sunlight. Bifocals are prescription and allow you to see distances and also up close.

As for the P30 Pro itself, I got one myself and I think its cameras are great, especially when it comes to the main and telephoto ones. One can take pictures with the main camera in a pitch-dark environment and still get a relatively bright image thanks to its sensor. And the P30 Pro was one of the two first devices to come with 5x telephoto periscope lenses, the other one being the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom (not to be confused with the more recent Oppo Reno 10).

Actually the ban was issued before the Mate 30 lineup was released. So, unfortunately, the Mate 30 lineup doesn't come with Google Services, although one can install Google apps inside a sandbox.

I have EF 17-40/4 L. Use it a lot with 5dmk3. It is good enough for my needs. A little tip. Use filter to weather seal it. Front lens moves so without it it might be a weak spot. And treat Canon's weather sealing with some reserve. It is kinda lacking (in my opinion at least). Aaa, one more f/4 is calculated not real (which is written as t/). If you take light losses on many internal glass elements it is rather 4.5 or worse. It is not so important when you use internal lighmeter but with eternal metering it might do a diffrence.

Agree. I bought one ot these "Manfrotto" large National Geographic tripods yesterday. By "Manfrotto," they appear to just be referring to the release head. The head is garbage. Very cheap plastic. The knob to extend the tripod up and down is also plastic and looks like it will break in a heartbeat. The legs are aluminum. Not terrible, but not great. The feet are fair. I am returning it today. It was cheap, but I am not risking expensive camera equipment with this stuffl.

i bought a 2nd hand p30 pro last december 2023 and it is harmonyOS...the video is cinematic.

I still use my New Edition Silver p30pro every day and I'm still loving it... but WHY CAN'T GLOBAL CONSUMERS HAVE A NEW PHONE??? love the little rant about the RF versions of these lenses, just bought my self a 24-105 f4 macro and it cost me $350 USD we shall see how that macro holds up to my request. I don't buy new and I use a lens for years and don't see any real need to upgrade from what I got for now.

I still have this phone afther 5 years. Its been everywhere with me and everything works perfectly, Battery is still good but the software updates no longer updates.
