The Olympus is also my favorite paddle. It felt great right away and no control is sacrificed. I think we should be a step below the joola gen3s for power
Power has gotten higher fast this year. I think it should be capped at the Joola Gen 3 Mod-15. We don't want to end up pickleball becoming a bullet dodging game.
Thanks for the video! I agree that power should be capped at the Gearbox Pro Power level. I feel like companies focusing on power is not in the right place. The game is not about power.
I think the Mod TA is the most talked about paddle in my neighborhood these days. Everyone started practicing with their old Gen 3s, waiting for their Mods to ship lol. I’ve tried out the 14 and 16 MM and liked them both! I also have the Gearbox Pro, but I definitely prefer the Mod! Great power paddle review and I think you were spot on!
I am a control player but starting to lean toward more power as the game is changing as more ex tennis folks are joining the game. Great timing on your video.
Great video! I’ve been really growing my pickleball obsession with a bunch of paddle tech. As of now, power should be capped at the Gen 3 Perseus or Gearbox Power Pro. Saw a couple of people using them at my local courts and the amount of pop I see and hear is insane!
Started with a legacy pro, went to a dbd, then a pro power, to a forza Mach 2, and now on the tko-cx. I think that power paddles are more fun. But the control paddles are more consistent and is better for my game. I am at the point where I have to choose to either be a one trick pony or a well rounded player.
power paddles are my personal favorite because I hit more drives than anything, and I haven't really had a good paddle yet, so this would definitely be a game-changer for me
Only ever hit the illegal Perseus, but heard the Mod-15 is identical except slightly less grit, so still gonna be a banger. Nice list. Definitely wanna try all the Ripples, too. Thanks 🤙
Really excited to see the drop of the ripple after it getting relisted, but I'm all for the Mod TA-15 (surprised that it got relisted basically feeling like another gen3). great video!
Great video! Very detailed and entertaining. Haven't used any of the paddles on the list yet, but I guess power should be capped near the Gearbox Pro level.
Nice review, was really excited about the ripple but heard from PBStudio's podcast it also has core crush issues which is too bad. Hopefully it was just an isolated case but I guess only time will tell.
Nice review. Looking forward to the Ripple R2 review. I don’t think there should be a limit on speed or spin since as offense improves, so will defense.
The gen3 is where power should be absolutely capped. Less reaction time against players who use these power paddles recklessly will cause more injuries
Let’s go! Although its technology is standard, I feel like the cap should be right around the Bantam paddles. They are legit, but not impossible for 4.0 level players to defend against. Great video & thanks for doing the giveaway!
I naturally have a soft game so having a strong power paddle helps increase my drives power and makes my resets, dinks and counters way easier. I originally started with the gen2 perseus as my first but it just didn't have enough power, but super interested in the MOD-TA though but for now Paddletek gang!
I enjoyed your power paddle review. I like the new ALW 14.3mm paddle with the longer handle. I would like to see the power capped at the Gearbox PPE. Thank you.
I love power paddles because they assist me with shots that I feel less confident in. I have always felt more comfortable with my soft game but power paddles have helped develop my drives and serves.
I just played with the Mod TA-15 14mm last night and it is a surprisingly controllable hits-like-a-truck paddle. Returns were a little difficult to keep in but probably not too difficult to get used to. Volleys, drives and serves were excellent with surprisingly little swing required for how light the paddle is. Needs weighting at the lower corners and at sides for stability and to lower the balance point (a little head heavy stock). Only downside is that it has a pretty muted feel. To give my thoughts about power paddles, I used to be about pure control (had a Neonic Flow) but as I’ve gotten better as a player they just doesn’t have the oomph to hang with more advanced players, High spin power-oriented all court paddles suit the evolving pickleball game better.
Gonna love me a shiny new Mod-15. I instantly fell in love with the original. You know what they say... If you love something, let it go. If it loves you, it'll come back🥰
Been mostly playing with all court paddles, but would love to try a power paddle like the Joola Mod TA. From my experience playing against power paddles, the Gearbox definitely is a most powerful paddle, and seems like should be the limit.
I would prefer power to capped around where the Bantams are, but with the Gen 3s and Gearboxes being established we might need to live with those levels being the limit
Great video! I feel like power paddles help me improve my control and decision making since bad hits are more likely to go out or be pop ups. I think control paddles feel nicer to play with because they are more forgiving, but that forgiveness makes it more difficult to notice and learn from my mistakes. I'm not sure if that's accurate or not. Also, the Gearbox Pro is probably where power should be capped at.
i like paddle power even as beginner cause it allows us/them to get used to the current play style. if you cant beat them join them. once they used to controlling power, it get easier to control the game/set IMO
I love power paddles because I love to CATCH BODIES🤣also it helps me give less effort on drives to be able to give more direction and accuracy to the ball🔥
Excellent video as usual, keep up the good work! I think they should definitely cap the top end power to where the gearboxes are right now, too much power is going to negativity impact the game especially since the court is so small. I can also see more pickleball injuries especially since folks don't usually wear protective eyewear. I agree with you on the Olympus, picked one up for my birthday based on my friend's recommendation, he basically described it as having controllable power which I'm finding to be true. I currently have 5 inches of .5 g tungsten tape on each side going from around the middle of the throat up, been liking it so far. I'm planning on trying your setup eventually, 4.5g on each side right? 9g would be the most that I've put on a paddle but will try it out and see, going to play with the current setup for now and dial it in 😎
Paddle style right now I'm more all-court leaning power but that's because at my skill level I was recommended to go no further haha. I love power paddles because the full feeling of just overwhelming your opponent with barrages that their defense often sets up more barrages.
Great video… I would like to see where the power paddles go… Great technology coming out all the time. However, I think there might be a time where they have to implement a capp… I like the Olympus myself…
Cool video, definitely going with power. I noticed the mod ta and gearbox sound similar. Kind of a hollow sound is how i would describe it.. The new 3s also sounds similar. Do these paddles mentioned in ths video have similar sounds?
I’m still figuring it all out. I bought some lead to add today to my bread and butter filth. I’m still working on hitting harder so I’m not at max power I’m sure but as soon as I get there, I’m gonna want more!
I'd cap it at the Gearbox. I've played against that paddle several times but only once against someone that was able to drive the ball with it harder than I expected.
Power should definitely be capped at the Gearbox! More power usually brings more pop which then gets uncontrollable and usually results in smaller sweet spot for paddles. Maybe changes to ball weight or material could be implemented if more power is added to the paddles, so that the overall effect is still the same!
Haven’t really played with any power paddles, but would love to give it a try. Played against some gearbox pro and the mod and the balls were coming back crazy fast 😂 I would say the cap would be gearbox pro more than that would be too much power
I think they definitely should be capped, just so we don’t lose the skill element of Pickleball that draws people in. I love most that there’s always something I can work on to improve.
Great breakdown as always. The more I use the Olympus, the more I fall in love with it. I added some lead tape to boost its TW and power and it's just *chef's kiss*. However, the Thompson 515 series has also recently caught my eye. Will you be doing a review on those?
The power chase is real. I have been so curious but am a bit scared of them. Almost bought the Olympus last week during their sale. Thanks for the review.
Love the content. Recently picked up a spartus with bodhi tungsten with your code and I think that paddles should be capped out where the general public shouldn’t feel fear at the kitchen more than focused on getting the ball. If the top paddles already do that then the gearboxes and mods should be the absolute limit
I feel like power should be capped where we are right now. Trying to go back and retroactively delist currently used paddles feels like a recipe for fracturing the community (as it already has with USAP vs UPA).
I'm not sure where the power paddles should stop exactly, but I played with a senior with a gearbox and he was ripping the sh** out of that ball! The paddle definitely makes a difference
i had the gearbox and sold it early on, even with 6g on each side by the 4 and 8'oclock the sweet spot opens up but its still not enough and that paddle is for sure the hardest hitting paddle out there that is legal. i currently have the paddletek(14.3) and mod-ta(14), the joolas just have better sweet spots than the paddletek and gearbox which is why i like them more. Maybe ill run into some durability issues but warranty covers that anyways.
I think power should be capped around the Bantam. Gearbox and Mod speed ups are almost impossible to dodge if someone just goes for the bodybag. Still fun and adrenaline pumping to face, though 😂
I’ve always been a control player, playing with paddles like the ruby and j2k but recently I’ve felt like I have my touch down and I need a change to my game. So I’m excited to switch to a ta or ripple. I play at a 4-4.5 but I feel as if this could elevate my game.
Very informative review. I think that power should be capped right where the paddles are today (I guess Gearbox). Any more power will change the dynamics of the game too much
I love power paddles because with great power comes great responsibility.
Love the sound of the Ronbus Ripple! The actual Ripples in the paddle are crazy!
The Olympus is also my favorite paddle. It felt great right away and no control is sacrificed. I think we should be a step below the joola gen3s for power
Olympus ftw!
Great Review ! Thank you for sharing the Lead setup also. Muy bien ! Saludos from Panama.
Power has gotten higher fast this year. I think it should be capped at the Joola Gen 3 Mod-15. We don't want to end up pickleball becoming a bullet dodging game.
So excited for the ripple! I def think power should be capped around where the gearbox pro is though
Thanks for the video! I agree that power should be capped at the Gearbox Pro Power level. I feel like companies focusing on power is not in the right place. The game is not about power.

Thank you! Sounds like you love the power
@@AllDriveNoDropPickleball Lol I’m trying to keep up with the Jones’s! My fave paddle is still the J2K AKA “Old Faithful.” 😊
Loved the feel on impact of the MODs. Just don't trust the durability. Most likely going OLYMPUS.
Great list!!! Power paddles save my shoulders not having to generate my own power;) Power should be capped at a safe level.
Hit with the paddletek and I loved it
A great way to wake up in the morning! Power paddle review!
I am a control player but starting to lean toward more power as the game is changing as more ex tennis folks are joining the game. Great timing on your video.
Thank you great video. I agree keep power right where it is .
No cap. Let the game and technology evolve as long as they are compliant :)
I enjoyed the delisted Joola, so, super excited you're giving away a Mod-15! Sweeeet!
I love the sport of pickleball and would love a good paddle since I haven’t buyed a spensive paddle, and this one looks 🔥
I love power paddles for the crazy baseline serves!
Good choices! Been wanting to try a power paddle for awhile now
Awesome video! Still can’t decide which paddle I want lol. I think anything below the gearbox is acceptable. 🔥🔥🔥
Morning! 👋 Thank you!
Love power paddles they speed up the action!
Great video! I’ve been really growing my pickleball obsession with a bunch of paddle tech. As of now, power should be capped at the Gen 3 Perseus or Gearbox Power Pro. Saw a couple of people using them at my local courts and the amount of pop I see and hear is insane!

I am at the point where I have to choose to either be a one trick pony or a well rounded player.
I hear you, all-court and control paddles play better for most.
Thanks for this video! Im new to the channel will definitely share with friends
Appreciate the share and welcome to the channel!
power paddles are my personal favorite because I hit more drives than anything, and I haven't really had a good paddle yet, so this would definitely be a game-changer for me
It feels good finally getting a giveaway for this paddle! This is the first i've seen, so thanks! Cap power at Gearbox PP.
Just started playing but loving the review. Power shouldn't be too high in this sport.
Thank you for your reviews 🎉🎉🎉
Only ever hit the illegal Perseus, but heard the Mod-15 is identical except slightly less grit, so still gonna be a banger. Nice list. Definitely wanna try all the Ripples, too. Thanks 🤙
No cap! The sky’s the limit!! 🌠
Nice review thanks!! Definitely think power should be capped at gearbox pp! Can’t wait to try the ripple R2 👍
Thank you!
Great review on all power paddles.
Loving the Olympus! Your right has the perfect amount of pop any more and balls would be flying out 😂
Yes, I think there has to be a cap! Love the reviews, interested to read the comments now.
Nice review, was really excited about the ripple but heard from PBStudio's podcast it also has core crush issues which is too bad. Hopefully it was just an isolated case but I guess only time will tell.
Great video! Definitely should be capped at the level of the Gearbox Pro Power.
I've only got the TKO 14.3 but I love it. I used tape up eaxh side to increase sweet spot and it works a treat.
Awesome video! Definitely cap the power at the MOD TA-15. Recently played against it and it was like nothing I've ever seen.
I think they should cap it off now. Thanks for your reviews!
thanks for this! perfect timing
I knew it!
After playing with control paddles for awhile now(Luxx Invikta and DBD) the power just feels sooooo good and feel great out on the court!
nice breakdown of the power paddles! i think should be capped around the bantams. hate playing against joola and gearbox paddles
Nice review. Looking forward to the Ripple R2 review. I don’t think there should be a limit on speed or spin since as offense improves, so will defense.
Awesome paddle review ! Cap at gearbox pro.
The gen3 is where power should be absolutely capped. Less reaction time against players who use these power paddles recklessly will cause more injuries
Awesome review! Can't for the ripple to release to the public! I think power should be capped where the Gearbox pro is.
Great list and honest opinions! Perhaps power will be capped at the Pro Power level.
Let’s go! Although its technology is standard, I feel like the cap should be right around the Bantam paddles. They are legit, but not impossible for 4.0 level players to defend against.

I originally started with the gen2 perseus as my first but it just didn't have enough power, but super interested in the MOD-TA though but for now Paddletek gang!
Great list bro, I think gearbox and paddletek did impressive paddles with advanced technology
Nice review and summary of all those paddles. I predict that the ball is what will be limited, NOT the paddles.
I like the power paddles bc I love to drive (no drops) 😅! Thanks for the review! Awesome!
Love a good all drive no drop style
I enjoyed your power paddle review. I like the new ALW 14.3mm paddle with the longer handle. I would like to see the power capped at the Gearbox PPE. Thank you.
I finally took on a Gearbox Pro Power paddle.. it should be capped!
I love power paddles because they assist me with shots that I feel less confident in. I have always felt more comfortable with my soft game but power paddles have helped develop my drives and serves.
I also think the cap should be at the gearbox.
really want to try the olympus out, it seems like a power paddle that is great for the soft game too
The limits need to stop being pushed. Saw an incident yesterday that wouldn't have happened had the paddle not been that hot!
I just played with the Mod TA-15 14mm last night and it is a surprisingly controllable hits-like-a-truck paddle. Agree. At some point probably now, it's getting dangerous so let's capped it now before someone gets one in the eye.
Gonna love me a shiny new Mod-15. I instantly fell in love with the original. You know what they say... If you love something, let it go. If it loves you, it'll come back🥰
Love the video! Regarding power, I feel power should be capped around the TKOs. Like a little higher is fine. But I’m sure it can get ridiculous haha.
Been mostly playing with all court paddles, but would love to try a power paddle like the Joola Mod TA. From my experience playing against power paddles, the Gearbox definitely is a most powerful paddle, and seems like should be the limit.
Cap it at the bantam… and do additional testing to see how the cores change and put the changes into account for testing. Nice review
Mod hits so hard. I think that's enough!
I would prefer power to capped around where the Bantams are, but with the Gen 3s and Gearboxes being established we might need to live with those levels being the limit
Bro you are just reciting what you heard on the pickleball studio podcast episode. Have some ideas of your own
It makes a lot of sense to cap the power on paddles versus trying to change other aspects of the game to accommodate
Still playing the Bantam tko-cx 12.7 MM. It's tough to control but if you can adapt, the counter game is soooo good.
Honolulu, way to go ❤❤

Yep, that is my setup. With how lightweight it feels I think it works very well with that setup.
Tko c 14.3 @ 7.8 oz , 4 grams on the throat 3 to 4 grams wrapped directly onto the bottom of the handle under the main grip …. Absolute weapon!
Appreciate your reviews! Got to cap the power @Gearbox level otherwise, it’s a game of body bags.
Paddle style right now I'm more all-court leaning power but that's because at my skill level I was recommended to go no further haha.
I love power paddles because the full feeling of just overwhelming your opponent with barrages that their defense often sets up more barrages.
Sounds like the Olympus might be your style. Definitely fun when that power is flowing
Great video… I would like to see where the power paddles go… Great technology coming out all the time. However, I think there might be a time where they have to implement a capp…

Cool video, definitely going with power. I noticed the mod ta and gearbox sound similar. Kind of a hollow sound is how i would describe it.. The new 3s also sounds similar. Do these paddles mentioned in ths video have similar sounds?
The Ripples have a similar hollow sounds. The Olympus has its own unique sounds. Check out my Olympus review for the sound on that and the Paddleteks.

@@juansantiago1441 PBStudio had their 100 episode. Olympus was 20% off, Shapeshifter was 25% off and other brands had from 10-20% off.
I definitely play better with a non power paddle but heard the Mod has some decent control. Although the grip of the 16mm is a bit big. 14mm vs 16mm 🤔
