Three extra loading screens (black/short ones), many sloppy moments, me being stupid with Fire Pig (by far the easiest one) and unlucky with some others. All of that means that the run is improvable by at least two minutes. But I'd rather look for ways to optimize the route than screw up over and over again because of terrible rng on butterflies and bosses. The bad (or maybe good) news is that I've already optimized the route as much as I could.

Lol, same here ! I almost forgot about this game but almost remember entirely the sequel.
This was great. Entertaining to watch, and somewhat nostalgic.
I only played this game on the demo-disc I recieved with my playstation, yet this was one of the first games I really enjoyed playing.
Once again, it was really fun watching this. :)

If You finish this game You just start the new Quest (Tomba 2). One of his Two friends is Tabby who is a character in Tomba 2
What is the proof? Play Tomba 2, then You will meet green hoodie Dwarf that You save in this game, also You will meet Yang again, and Witch Mizuno, and off course Charles and Baron too
Even though I'm pretty sure there is some quest that haven't be done in this video but I'm really happy to watch this speedrun

This is easily top 3 favorite of all time. I'll give it a 100% play through once a year usually. I'm not this fast though.

I remember it taking me forever to finish this as a child, then I beat it in 6 hours the other day, then I see this. Very nice work!
This game suffered so much from being mostly played as a demo instead of people buying the full game for whatever reason. I was one of those people too
What console were you running this on?, just got 1:42:09 on PSP and my IGT is 1:16, so i'm thinking load times might be the cause of your lower IGT?

wow amazing man, i was stuck at the stupid racing mission when I was only like 10 years old. Then I gave up.
finished the game when i was a kid but man was i far away from doing 100% on these quests where there were no leads, they were brutal back then
bruh i know right, i played tomba2 back then and i wasn't that proficient in english and it took me days just to leave the fisherman island. old games squeezes your brain to the very core.
Watching this was very nostalgic. I remember playing this game in middle school and loved every moment of it. Thanks for bringing me that kid feeling again :)

This game is fricken hard in places, l respect your ability, it's incredible.
You obviously used a strategy guide or watched others beat this game and just copied them. This game is literally impossible to beat without the knowledge on where everything is , or how to do specific things to clear missions . NOT IMPRESSED, If you would say that you used strategy guides and watched many others beat his game , you would then actually get a tiny bit of respect, not from anyone watching , but from yourself
Who are you and what do you know about me? You don't know what you're talking about. I made this route from scratch and by myself. I know youtube hides upload dates now, but you can see comments that are literally 7 years old. The current wr holder raikou admitted to using this very video as a base for his runs, not even changing much route-wise. Go ask him.
Or maybe i missed the irony. Sounds like you aren't even talking about speedrunning it, but just merely beating it. It's not that card unless you play it as a kid. I played Tomba 2 as a kid and it took me many years to beat it. Later i played the first game for the first time as a teenager and it wasn't nearly as hard.

How are you using Baron before you go back and give the dwarf villager the seaweed?
I mean I see that the old man gave him to you but then shouldn't that cancel out giving the seaweed to the villager meaning you just miss that objective because you acquired him through other means? 🤔

Dude thank you, that was very nostalgic to watch. Its good to have closure too lol, i got to the part where you had to find the seven friends and never could as a kid. It was fun to see how the game ended.

Cool, I could almost finish the game. And now I realized that I did not get the evil pig bag from Baccu village, but I already unlocked the flower tower. So, the 1,000 year old chest there just disappeared.
So this gameplay would explain where all those 133+4 in tomba2 sequel if you loaded the save file from the first game ya i kinda got it and cleared my mind cause kainen said i havent finished some quest yet all the quest already done
Was searching for tombi let’s plays and all I found was obnoxious youtubers, found this speedrun and was entertained throughout the run by your mission path. Great job!

Loved this game as a kid. I know it's not you though and it's me and my OCD (which I actually suffer from) that is driving me insane when you leave things behind or don't grab berries and gems that are right there next to you!! Arrgghhhh!! Why I could never watch my friends play video games. I would get way too anxious and have to take the controller from their hands haha.
