Wild Guns is a fixed-view shooting gallery game by Natsume for the Super Nintendo. It's a western game with futuristic elements. The female character, Annie, has searched down a bounty hunter by the name of Clint to help her get revenge and to rescue the few family members she has left. Another notable point is the possibily to change the color of the clothes of the characters (in the character select menu)! It's a classic western game, like SunsetRiders, but with different perspective!
So I decided to make one more longplay of this great game! This longplay was done in hard in order to showing the end credits of each character!

Part of the actual rules to make a professional Longplay video is to show all of the game's content, cut-scenes, and game play to 100% completion. Playing it on real hardware instead of an emulator is also a plus. Think of it as an archival and educational video on presenting the entire game, how the game should be played, and how it can be referenced very easily. Missing scenes and content are a no-no. I believe Any% will also count (yet, I'm borrowing speedrun terms, but it's still relevant.) Also, playing with both characters in this video was a good idea, I think.
Maybe you should watch Let's Plays (with or without commentary) instead of Longplays. :p

That's cool too but when it comes to retro games World of Longplays(now just Longplays) doesn't use real hardware at all really. I can understand arcade games, but pretty much everything retro is on emulator for even NES, SMS, SNES, GEN, PS1, etc.

feels like yesterday that I experienced this for the first time, so much fun playing with my older sister, loved those days, now being older, when I have kids, I cant wait for them to experience this too. I hope the new game fairs well
This is like Contra meets Sunset Riders... And it's hard: even on "Easy" mode.
Great game. You can save a lot of time by not pretend to dodge while using no-death cheat.

I did beat this game once solo a long time ago when i played the crap out of it, so you don't even need to cheat.

Obviously this person cheated but..... it is a really hard game and I am glad that he or she brought to us. This a very awesome and legendary game that I unfortunately never played as a kid.

tb achei estranho, pois estou jogando este jogo e em varias jogadas, observo que seria morte na certa, nao e a primeira vez que observo que este canal esta a trapacear, ja em outros jogos vi que parece algo como cheats ou tas.

I had to get it on virtual console. I know it's a great game, but I'm not paying $500.00 for it with a busted box on eBay.

This game is like Nam 75 with a Western Theme.
Lol someone else that remembers Nam ‘75. I loved that game, but I would get so pissed cause I could consistently get to the boss on about 3$. But if you die on the boss no amount of money can help. You start all the way over. Does anyone else see that this guy is getting hit all the time and not dying? I don’t want to accuse him of cheating, but a stick of dynamite clearly blows up right under him and bullets hit him from 9:50 - 11:30 mark. But I could be missing something

Does anyone remember an arcade game in the late 80s where it had the same gameplay as Wild Guns but it was a dead guy who was now a ghost and he was shooting up all the gangsters that wronged him? Does anyone know the name of that game??

Wild Guns was set to be released in the third quarter of 1994 and was reviewed at the time, but the release was unexpectedly delayed until the third quarter of 1995.
Matt and Woolie did it first. You know, cause they had awesome childhoods and Pat didn't.

Even if this is not a rail shooter, it would be miles better if they kind of made it work with a lightgun like the G-Con 2 for the ps2. With the extra buttons you could also move around etc. Playing something like this with a normal controller is not the best way to do it. I personally prefer a western game like Sunset Riders (both for snes/megadrive) above this one. But this is a good game too.
I just don't like the aiming part of this game with a normal controller. The moving around is a good extra which makes the game a lot better. Or a two player mode with one controlling a character and one aiming (not a good idea I know, but still they could add this for extra multiplayer fun or something like that).
But that would be too easy.
Marcel Weber I know that this is not a lightgun game, but that also were it's weakness is. The controls are just not that great, you can get used to them etc, but that doesn't make the game great, it's oke at best. But wii controls (it doesn't have to be a lightgun) could make this game a lot better. The wii mote for the aiming and gunning and the nunch... for the controlling of the character.
You can also think about games that are lightgun games, and play them with the controller. You somewhat get the same thing. It just isn't as fun, it slows down the action and its less accurate. I was only thinking about how this game could actually get better. They can always make a wild guns 2 or something like that. They've to improve the controls in that one.
Also if thinking about lightgun games, there is also a game called dino stalker for the ps2. You also use the lightgun for controlling the character not only for the shooting. So the whole idea can be done... also in 2D. Making it a lightgun game would simply make the game more fun. Also when it becomes too easy with a gun, throw in more enemies that will do the job.
Marcel Weber Are you just reading over most things I've talked about? I was mentioning movement controls. Whether it is with a nunchuck or with the controls on a lightgun. Lightguns from 6th gen onwards had more buttons, also for other controls. So you can actually move the character too. With the wii it would work out best, because in most cases you will hold down the wii mote. So that you still have vision of the bullets that are heading to your character.
Also it's just my opinion like your opinion is just your opinion. I don't think we should generalize too much about how everybody thinks about the games. Like I said before I was only thinking about how the game could be improved, because it had potential to be more than it is right now. (again my opinion).

Very late response but Blood Bros. were one of the influences on making this game, making it feel like a spiritual successor for me.
