Hi, Thanks for the video, what glue did you use to glue the frame? Got a quote to fix the screen of a local repair shop for £120. They're brand new from Argos for £119. He must think I was born yesterday. Going to purchase the screen on eBay soon. Great video, thank you.
Just brake parts cleaner, sort of Bräkleen or similar. Effective and leaves no residue. Can be aggressive on plastic so dont leave it on for a longer time.
The more complete the part is, the quicker is the fix. If only the glass is replaced than its more work involved, then if you replace the complete sub-assembly.
Hi, thank you for your vidéo, very helpful ! I changed my screen succesfully, but i dont have any LED light on. So I Can see some stuff but its all dark, very dark ! Do you have any advice ?
@@KJohansson thanks you for your reply. Indeed, I've re seated the only flat cable on the screen and the motherboard. So I can see (hardly) the screen, logo and icône with my flashlight but no backlight. The flat cable has been changed as well, but same thing happened... Any other advice? 😬
@@KJohansson it was destroyed it wasn't even worth saving and also the fact that replacement screens didn't come with the frame And mine isn't like yours where it was coming apart and they are glued shut and I needed to access my stuff so buying a new tablet was the best option
Rather a ham fisted approach to replace a screen using a butchers knife to remove screen and adhesive, not recommended it's fair to say this guys lucky or fluked it and avoided damaging the plastic frame hacking away with abandon with a blade. Second NO NO !!! IN THIS TUTORIAL. Don't apply the adhesive before fitting the plastic bezel onto the body making sure it is fully clicked into place. if out by just a fraction if you try to fit in the manner shown the new glass could crack rendering an expensive component part damaged and you're back to square 1 only this time you've got the headache of a dilemma either to buy a second screen or bin the whole thing and buy a new tablet. leave the repair job to professionals, don't do a diy like this it doesn't make economical sense.
I wont bother commenting on the tone in this post "Paul" has made, instead I'll add as a clarification that this tablet was either to be scrapped or repaired by myself since its no economy in paying someone to fix a Mediapad T5, they are too cheap. This "hackjob" that I did have worked fine ever since and its still working fine as a random tablet in our home.
Thank you a lot 🙏🏽💪🏾 i wasn't sure about what display model I should buy but now i know thanks for the video 💪🏾
Kann man den Rahmen einzeln bestellen. Danke für eine Antwort

Hi, I cracked my screen but I can still use the tablet, is it really necessary to buy all parts?

@@DuckonWR yes, its a unit. But not the frame that one has to scrape clean and glue on, as shown in the video.

Sorry to hear that backlight didnt work. Have you re-seated the flat cable to the screen? Also, check the cable for damage so the cable is fine.
