For those who don't know, they changed it. It does more knockback, has less cooldown, and it goes through both armor and shield (doesn't go through prot enchantments) but the damage is nerfed. Quite balanced imo because the ability's not meant to kill you but just to knock you off a platform.

When the update dropped, I went in not knowing what the Warden was capable of. I was completely SHOOK when I hid inside a cave wall, thinking I was safe, only for the sonic boom to wipe half my health through the walls…
When they designed the warden they literally said “this a monster you want to avoid rather then fight” and they are right for saying that. It has a massive health pool gets progressively faster the more it’s damaged, has a Sonic attack to blast through barriers and both it’s regular and Sonic attack can pretty much two shot you with full diamond gear. Also it doesn’t even give you a special item for its defeat just a bunch of the other blocks you can find in its domain and placed its domain millions of blocks under the ground. They designed so it wouldn’t be something you go after and placed it in a rare hard to find biome underground.

We just asked for freaking fireflies but they came up with ultimate boss monsters, it's like they're thinking "how many different ways can we get our players killed in game?"
Tip : Build a warden spawn suppressor, several videos for it on UA-cam. Combine it with a chunk loader, and as long as you don't log out in between visiting ancient city's there will not spawn any warden. After logging out you need to restart the suppressor for it to work again. Fighting the warden is pointless since it's very likely to just kill you, and it doesn't drop anything useful. It's just designed to make looting ancient city's very challenging.
Just mod the newest version of minecraft, I'm sure theirs something specific for mob filtering/mob removal. You can also add high quality but rare loot to the wardens loot pool. I've got "warden Armor/Tools" modded into 1.9.2 as well as the "forgotten recipes" and "Sculk horn" but that's only the tip of the iceberg, managed to get abt 256 working so far 😀 definitely worth it.
Just ran into him for the first time. I had no idea, I've never even seen the dragon before so I thought this was it. I was gathering the just- discovered experience orbs from the blue- spotted blocks... I kept hearing it, The light was flickering and then there he was. I had made bed and set the respawn point, but I was in that room. He couldn't get in, but then the sonic blasts started and I kept running and dying, so I blocked myself in, but of course the blast got me through the one layer of rock anyway, blew up my bed and sent me all the way back to original spawn point! Ahhhhghhh 😢😂 jeez that was amazing though 😅
For me my first encounter, I already knew how he worked. Tried to fight him the first time, it went horribly. I kept running around trying to teal and then fight, just to almost die again and again. My 2nd try, I was more smart. I dug a hole before hand that would put a wall with a window between me and him. Once we were both in I just spammed my sword (bedrock) and killed him pretty fast. Honestly as a planned fight, he's not hard to defeat. However, if you accidentally summon him, it's quite scary😅
And the fact still remains that it is not worth it to go to the deep dark to face him. The only good thing in there is sculk sensors for wireless redstone
Hey hi, I have an actual good video idea, that also really suits your video style. Its streamers/youtubers mispronouncing Lapis Lazuli, really authentic pronunciation and funny. I remember PewDiePie saying it as Lapis Lapitus, and Markiplier also mispronouncing it as Lapizu Lapuzi or something, and then also another dude saying it as Lapis Lalulli, and another one with laziz lazul. And this is just from the top of my head, I am so sure there are many more funny ones yet to be found. And the best part is that that most people have found or talked about Lapis when they are in search for diamond, which makes them so hostile and careless towards Lapis, hence the carelessly pronounced names. Yeah, the sonic boom attack is stupid as heck. It shoots through walls from a ridiculous distance and he shoots incredibly quickly. I was playing and took a hit. Decided to drink my potion of regen and retreat back (the Warden was trapped) It decided to target me again from about 20 blocks away and killed me. Not a great experience imo. The Warden just feels like an annoyance rather than anything positive

The Wardens targeting was also broken. We legit had people punching it in the same cage, however it would target players with the sonic boom attack rather than players right by it. It just doesn't seem like it was built with multiplayer in mind

At starting it was not killed by beam because if you are killed by beam the death message is "player has been obilerated by sonic beam".

@@vivekbhangrath1455 It probably started the attack animation when I was around 18 blocks away, and then hit me when I was 20 + blocks away.
We also couldn't get shields to work whatsoever. The Wardens targeting was also broken.
We legit had people punching it in the same cage, however it would target players with the sonic boom attack rather than players right by it.
It just doesn't seem like it was built with multiplayer in mind

I don't expect MC physics to be *this* advanced but since higher density fluids than air can dissipate soundwaves in a more efficient way, this would probably be something to test.
Thing can travel through solid concrete walls so probably not.
