the religious leaders called Jesus good teacher and He said, why do you call me good?

I've learnt that God let's bad things happen to good people because he loves them. When something bad happens to a person where does that person turn to? He turns to God for help and comfort. And that's what God wants. A person who has a good, problem free life has no reason to need God or go to him for help because he simply thinks he has everything. But such person is spiritually dead inside. We need God in our lives or else we have nothing. So when God gives us heartache we should look at it as a blessing.. He is constantly working on us and the devil in the other hand is constantly pulling towards sin.. So trials in life keep us close to God.. Ultimately our reward will be Heaven. And I'm sorry, but without hard times and heartbreak we simply can't get that reward.

Just wanted to share a true story-after years of prayers for my dad to convert to Catholic, he did and he said this was why. He witnessed a miracle. My 18 month old sister fell in fire ants, dehydrated and slipped into a 6 week coma where she was completely unresponsive. Drs said she would be in a vegetable state or soon pass away. My parents thought they were being punished, couldn’t understand why this was happening. Mom called our Msgr to come bless her. He brought The True Cross(Relic of Jesus’ Cross), said prayers and placed it on her chest. She sat straight up, then turned on her side and woke up an hour later. She’s graduated college, married, has grandchildren now. God uses people to draw others to Him. Sometimes we don’t understand the reason, but He always has a good one.

Why not just go with the obvious and simple explanation, that God must be both good and evil? If God created everything and evil is inherent in creation, then evil must be part of God too. The creator is a reflection of the creation, so if creation contains evil and good, then so does the creator. Simple logic. Easy as pie. I don't get why that's beyond most people. It's very simple and explains a lot. The book of Isaiah also says that the Lord creates both good and evil. And Carl Jung said that evil is just the shadow side of God. All ancient religions and secret societies taught that God was good and evil too. Only the Abrahamic religions deviate from this and claims that God is only 100 percent good and 0 evil. Hence they are an aberration.

Bad things happen to sinners. Sinners are those of us whose nature is against God. We're all born into sin and are thus God's enemies from conception. Jesus is the only one born who was good, because He was God coming through the womb of a woman to be born as a human, live the perfect life to conquer sin on our behalf and be our perfect example of how to live a righteous, holy life, fulfill all the Messianic prophecies about what He would do and about what would be done TO Him, die on the cross, and rise from the grave. In doing so, He defeated Satan, sin and death. The ripple effect started in the Garden. The original sin of Adam rippled through all of mankind, his unrighteousness being credited to the souls of every person, being our earthly father, passing on his spiritual genes to every generation, as we are all his seeds.
Walking in righteousness is walking in obedience to the ways of God, walking with God, honoring Him. Walking in sin is walking in opposition to God, away from God, dishonoring Him. Sin earned us a spiritual death. But when we repent - that is, when we are contrite at heart and turn away from sin, walking toward, with and in one accord with God, putting our faith in the saving work God did on our behalf in the person of Jesus Christ - then we are freed from the cost of sin (death), our slates are wiped clean through God's gracious and merciful forgiveness, and the righteousness of God is credited to our accounts, which infinitely surpasses the bankruptcy of the sinfulness of our Adamic nature. In Adam, all die, but in Jesus, all are resurrected to life. All God wants is for us to come back to Him.
There has only, ever, been one good person, and that's God in the flesh: Jesus Christ. The only time bad things happened to a good person was when Jesus Christ was born, and that was God's plan from before time began: to create a world with people, whom He knew would sin against Him, then free them from sin to show not just His loving nature, but the fullness of His attributes, such as justice, mercy, grace, loving kindness, patience, and His wrath against evil. All of His attributes stem from His holiness, and they all culminate on the cross in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Because mankind sins against God, man deserves to be punished eternally, because God is eternal, so a sin against an eternal God is an eternal crime. Thus, sinning against God rings, offensively, throughout all eternity, like an echo which never stops or diminishes.
If you murder a homeless man, you may be sentenced to 10 years in prison. If you murder a police officer, you may serve 20 years to life in prison. If you murder the President of the United States, you get the death penalty. The crime is the same: you killed a man. The difference is the one whom you've committed the crime against.
An infinite crime demands an infinite punishment, which is why eternity in hell makes perfect sense. But because God is rich in mercy, instead of wiping out all of mankind or throwing us all hopelessly in hell, He planned to save His fallen creation out of love for us. Man should pay for the crime, so God came as a man, representing all of mankind, and at the same time being the eternal God, so that the blood of a man could be shed, but once and for all, instead of being paid for by all of us forever. Jesus is the Godman - fully God and fully man - Who accomplishes this. In this way, our punishment has been paid for in full...the debt owed for our crimes has been satisfied...and we can be reunited to the Father. God pursued us to win us back. God is and has always, eternally, been Father, Son and Holy Spirit...simultaneously. It was His goal to rule us from the Throne (Father), come to us in the flesh to provide the perfect example of how to live, provide the eternal payment transaction on the cross (Son), and empower us to live righteously in response to His goodness in His likeness through the example of Jesus Christ by the power of Him living inside of us (Holy Spirit). He went from God RULING FROM UP THERE (Father) to God WITH US DOWN HERE (Son, Jesus, Emmanuel) to God INSIDE OF US (Holy Spirit), and He did it all to show the magnitude, depth, reach, steadfastness, zealous commitment and eternal richness of His love for us. God's goodness should lead us to repentance. Put your faith in Jesus - God's love in action - the work that God did in the flesh to save us from ourselves, from the punishment we deserve, from the wrath of the Father. He deserves our allegiance.
Let's say someone jumped in front of a bullet and kept you from being killed. Let's say that person survived. You'd be forever grateful, befriend that person, tell people what that person did for you, and feel as if you owed that person your life. You'd live a more enthusiastic life with a greater sense of purpose, having been given a second chance.
Had that person died, you'd be forever grateful, tell people what that person did for you, and live your life with great purpose and passion to ensure that their sacrifice wasn't in vain, knowing that it could've and should've been your life lost instead.
Had that person been someone you'd mistreated, you'd be forever grateful, filled with grief, guilt and remorse for the way you'd treated that person, and confused and amazed about why they'd care that much for you to be a bullet to sacrifice their life for yours after all the things you'd done against them.
These are ways you'd feel about a MERE PERSON who'd taken a bullet to save your earthly life...a life that you'll eventually lose anyway. If you'd have such thoughts and feelings for a person who saved your temporary life, how much more grateful, grieved, remorseful, repentant, purpose driven, enthusiastic and amazed should you be by the love of God, who died to save YOUR ETERNAL SOUL? Jesus jumped in front of the spiritual shotgun, which is eternal damnation, so that you can live with Him, and guess what? You'll NEVER lose that life! There's no greater love than God's and there's no greater life than in Heaven for all eternity with no sadness, aging, illness, or danger...just complete safety, resting in the God Who created you.
There's no better offer than forgiveness of sins and your soul being saved from eternal death. There is a way that seems right to a man, but it only leads to death. Jesus is the only escape. Don't try to do things your way or operate off of your own (mis)understandings and(il)logic. The only perfect one is God Himself. Trust Him. Repent, put your trust in Jesus, and be saved from death. God wants to give you the greatest gift there is: Himself. He proved that by giving His life for you. His life is so powerful that even death couldn't hold Him down. 100% of people die and we stay dead. Jesus rose people from death, and what's even better is that He died and still was able to raise Himself. The power of Jesus is stronger than the power of death, so much so that He was able to die and still win a spiritual war against death itself and make Himself live again. If a man can raise Himself from the grave, you should really listen to Him. He did it to save us from the punishment we earned ourselves so that we could LIVE forever with Him instead of suffer an eternal death, cut off from the goodness of God.
Some people think that hell means being separated from God but it doesn't. Hell means being separated from His GOODNESS. If you go to hell, God will be there, but all you will know is the fullness of His wrath against you for your sin. The GOOD NEWS, aka the GOSPEL, is that you don't have to. God is rich in mercy and wants to forgive you and save you. It's your choice. All you have to do is repent and put your trust in Jesus, and God promises to forgive you.
God doesn't want to rule over you and take away your fun. He is not a God who loves to be an evil dictator or a tyrant. The rules that God makes are made to keep you safe. Not killing, stealing, lying, committing adultery, etc., keeps you out of a lot of trouble, with men AND with God. Being a slave to God is true freedom.
    Turn to Christ and LIVE.

Also, we're still physical beings on this Earth. The only way to be born is to be born into the physical sin nature that we have in the flesg., Thanks to Adam.
Our sin nature can be overcomed with the Holy spirit working thru us. But our sin nature doesn't fully go away. we Christians are continually getting farther and farther from the carnality of our sin nature bc of the "renewing of the mind" thru the holy spirit.
In this physical body we will always struggle with sin and temptation. But when we our given glorified bodies, everything will be restored to how it ought to b. No brokenness or disease or yearning. We will be whole.

The "Parable of the Talents", in Matthew 25:14-30 tells of a master who was leaving his house to travel, and, before leaving, entrusted his property to his servants. According to the abilities of each man, one servant received five talents, the second had received two, and the third received only one. The property entrusted to the three servants was worth 8 talents, where a talent was a significant amount of money. Upon returning home, after a long absence, the master asks his three servants for an account of the talents he entrusted to them. The first and the second servants explain that they each put their talents to work, and have doubled the value of the property with which they were entrusted; each servant was rewarded:
Meaning: God doesn’t allow bad things to happen to us rather he uses the things that happen to us to further the talents (patience, compassion, long suffering etc) to be the foundation of what we share with those in heaven when we go. There aren’t any needs for pain and suffering or patience, compassion or many of the fruits of the spirit in heaven

The only way out is to have patience, ask God to forgive you and do good karma for others in daily life. Only scriptures will not help. Practical action is needed. Help the suffering whenever you can and slowly your bad karma will get erased. Best wishes. Counsellor.

Answer: People who ask this question are not reading the holy scriptures. The problem & solution is clearly stated in Genesis Chapter 3 & Revelations Chapter 21 - 22.
    King James Version Bible
    2 John Chapter 1
    3. Grace be with you, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
    Romans Chapter 5
    14. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
    Genesis Chapter 2
    15. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
    16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
    17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
    Genesis Chapter 3
    17. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: CURSED [IS] THY GROUND FOR THY SAKE; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life;
    18. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
    19. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: FOR DUST THOU [ART], AND UNTO DUST THOU SHALT RETURN.
    Romans Chapter 5
    12. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
    Romans Chapter 6
    23. For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
    Genesis Chapter 3
    22. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
    23. Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
    24. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
    Revelation Chapter 22
    1. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
    2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the TREE OF LIFE, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the TREE [were] for the healing of the nations.
    Revelation Chapter 21
    4. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
    Isaiah Chapter 65
    17. For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
    Revelation Chapter 22
    14. BLESSED [ARE] THEY THAT DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, that they may have right to the TREE OF LIFE, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Question, it seems as life I get it the more you try the more you will progress! However in life 90 percent is what happens to you. How do you go about the idea that your not really in control of outside circumstances that dictate day to day life ? You can’t control someone judging you wrong? You can’t control ppl oppion of you ? You can’t control someone negligence that harm you ? You can’t control timing cuz accidents, weather , ppl schedules affect your own time ,? You can’t control health you can eat and exercise do everything right but still get sick unfortunately?
How to over come these variables of life and weather to try or not try cuz it seems the more positive you do there millions of negative that get in the way 😥??? In any circumstances I’m sure you have many day to day life experiencs yourself just going to work is hard , making it to the bank , supermarket, bills , driving safe these are all affected by outside circumstances more than you think ?

Fake people have popularity, they're friends with everyone and they don't know themselves. A person who knows themselves will argue their case without the need to make friends with everyone. Good people have wisdom given to them by cruel life experiences against them. Their paths resemble the hardships Jesus once had to go through: humiliation, mockery, gossipers, thieves, murderers, witches, and evil authority against them. Good people feel no need to do drugs, steal, rape, nor murder innocent people, even if they once did, they didn't know God's message. They know how to repent and feel sincerely sorry for the bad actions they took. They have a rare anointing given to them by God Himself.

All he had to say is I dont know. His answer on this was terrible and completely wrong. There are different reasons why bad things happen to good people.
    1. Most people arent actually good people and are following Christ the wrong way so Satan has fooled them and the people around them into believing they are good when they arent.
    2. Now if you are actually good bad things happen sometimes to bring about God's will. Like in the Bible when the man of God was sold into slavery so that he could save his family in the future. So those are the reasons why bad things happen to good people. The worst thing you can do as a Christian is answer a question you actually dont know the answer to because you make God and Christianity look bad.

In other words, when you shut down the part of the brain we use for logic and reasoning, greater levels of atheism result!! So according to science, it's actually the atheists that are simple minded!!..so when they deny God they must shut off their logic and reasoning!!
Now along with this fact, there's also the fact that christians have won more Noble prizes, than anyone else!! They have won over 65% of all prizes....73% in chemistry...65% in physics...62% in medicine....78% in peace...54% economic and 50% in literature....so hardly simple minded people!!
These people helped humanity to progress in all areas, the percentage won by atheists and agnostics combined is just 10.5%....of all prizes! .so it's actually the atheists who are intellectually inferior to the Christians and clearly athiesm is hindering their progression, but this is to be expected, when one doesn't engage in logic and reaaon.
And just to also point out that Athiesm is not a new concept....many atheists seem to think that the more educated society becomes this will eventually lead to atheistm but the truth is, ever since mankind began to think and ask these questions... both theist and atheistic world views have been the answers, they have both been around as long as each other.... yet it's the theists which have come out on top not the atheists.
The percentage of winners above shows us that belief in God is held by some of the most intelligent people that have ever lived, so it was far from a hindrance to humanity's progression unlike atheism seems to be!!.. christians have contributed so much in every area....and that's because a theist doesn't limited their thinking so these false ideas held by atheists like "atheists are smarter" for instance are inaccurate, in actually fact the evidence states the opposite, for people who bang on about evidence and logic and reason all the time, it seems strange that they claim such stupid things which goes against all evidence and scientific studies.

nickj14711 Again let me just point out to you, that it is actually the atheists that must shut off part of their brain "logic and reason" to deny God, not us!!...and as I have already mentioned both atheistm and theism have both been around since the beginning... atheism is not a new concept!!
So your point about the Nobel prize winners being all indoctrinated doesn't make any sense because both views were held during this time and many countries were totally atheistic during this time period, so millions of people were atheist yet they still came up short compared to the theists.
How very arrogant of you to suggest such intelligent people couldn't think for themselves, are you seriously that arrogant, do you actually think that you are smarter than they were??....seriously??
You also said something about religion and it's cruel tactics.....well if you think religion was cruel.. then you should check out how cruel and awful atheistic regimes were throughout history!! in fact more people were killed in the 20th century than the 5 centuries before that put together!! and it had nothing to do with religion... it killed more people than religion ever did.
The major thing you seem to also forget when you demand proof from us.... is we don't actually claim we can prove anything....we don't deny that we have faith that isn't a problem for us....it's up to you what you want to believe my friend.. it has nothing to do with me...I respect your right not to believe.I personally have no problems with faith because we have faith in many things in life, which we are unable to prove like love and justice for instance.
We spend billions every year on the justice system yet we cannot prove justice exists!!... we can only go by our observations and experiences and the evidence..... there is plenty of evidence which is different to proof.....we cannot prove someone won't steal from us or betray us, we can only go by the evidence of his character, his lifestyle etc then based on this we can decide whether to trust someone or not.... but we cannot prove they won't hurt us we still have to take a leap of faith but because we have evidence to base our faith on.... it's not blind faith.
This evidence ( big bang/ DNA code) points to some creator or beginner now One can simply come to this conclusion without religion...by just using logic, reason and observations alone and asking simple questions like "where did the universe come from"?? and" why is there a universe here"?? it's science that points to some beginner some original cause but science doesn't tell us what the beginner/ cause is..science and mathematics suggests something caused us the probability of this complex universe which is so perfect for life happening blindly is just so low that it's not probable... anything is possible but the question is based on what we do know what is more probable and mathematics suggests that a designer is much more probable than blind evolution!!

But if we take the Biblical approach of "If you break one law, you are guilty of breaking all," then we are not truly being judged by our actions because the punishment doesn't fit the crime.
For example, if I have physical relations with my wife when she is on her period, as is a sin according to Leviticus 18:19, then that does not equate me to someone out committing genocide, and I don't think there is any rational way to argue it is.

No, the problem is that current generations have become spoiled and entitled. Thousands of years ago, men and woman were proud to die in the name of God or those they serve, and they looked forward to death. Today with modern medical technology and technological advances, people reject death and reject the idea of suffering. Also, we live in a culture that only understands the “now.” People ask why God let’s a child die, but fail to wonder what tragic incidents could have happened to that child if they were to live. On the opposite side of the coin, would it be more just to let a child live if that child were to be sold into sex trafficking later in life? No one holds all the answers, and the justice and fairness are subjective.

God is not powerful enough to fix things without using ripple effects? Isn't he all powerful, hasn't he ever created a place (heaven) without any suffering? Why create a painful earth. What's the point?... And I have read the job story... I hate it, I hate that God made a essentially a bet with the devil and gambled job's life to prove he was right and the devil was wrong. Why would you do that to someone you love? And when job asked for a simple explanation, to try to warp things around... God bashed him on how he made everything and he should never question him. That's what dictators in my country do. And maybe job was OK with it... I do not know... I wouldn't be... But anyway, what about his children, they didn't even get a say, they just died and then they were replaced... A friend of mine hanged himself two years ago and up to now.. He can never be replaced. Not in his family's life and not in mine... I forget about it once in a while but... Still am reminded of how things could have been if he was around... How there's only one Ben Ojani mayanja... No matter how many other Bens will be born... The only way I have been able accept such things is to accept that life is suffering and the best we can do is to try and find the few things that make us happy and enjoy them before they go away... This is probably why I can't believe in a god like the Christian God because he was presented to me a something that can solve everything and has all the power and despite that cares about us... But I cant believe that when I see suffering around me... I from Uganda and I saw people die during the presidential riots last year, some of them were people I knew. Killed by their own government... Now covid has finally hit and it's biggest issue is that it's not killing people directly (although it is)... No, it's biggest issue to us as Ugandans is that it's making and already difficult life more difficult... I mean, we were just watching the news today and over 100,400 girls are believed have got early pregnancies and won't be returning to school after the lock down... People have lost their jobs and are going hungry (I don't want any pity) ... And this is supposedly better than the times when the country had civil wars... I don't care about free will, I don't want it if it means that we will suffer like this... I actually feel that without the free will... We probably won't realize we don't have it in the first place so it's okay if it's not there.
Although, I mostly feel that we do not have free will or more like we do not have as much free will as we think we do but let's live that for now... I feel Ben wouldnt mind not having free will either judging by is personality... He probably would have said that "free will got him to kill himself. He would be alive with out it... Then he would laugh... And I would 😁 laugh" but that would be his ghost talking... I wish it was his ghost atleast...
Many people in my country are religious. Because when you see alot of bad things happen and go through alot of suffering, having something to believe in helps alot and makes it easier to go through the day with hope that there's someone powerful out there looking out for you so things will eventually work out so you don't give up. So because of this, in our country, we believe in a lot of things which don't make sense or work just for the hope. It keeps us going. And if things work out, we say our God came through and that makes the faith stronger, if they don't, we keep believing because the other option is to give up and die... Because of this, I don't mind that our people are religious sometimes... Me on the other hand stopped being religious, I accept the world is a hard place and there will always be suffering no matter your faith or religion, belief, background, race or country... I see this is true because people in well off first world countries kill themselves too so they obviously also have things making life miserable for them. I have decided to find happiness where I can and try not to hurt somebody else while I try to get that happiness because I wouldn't want them to do that to me... It may result in to my unhappiness but like I said, life is filled with suffering and making some else suffer won't change that. But helping someone suffer less is better because you want them to help you too when your time comes...this is one of the things I agree with Jesus on... There is a musician in our country who made a song that says "today it's me, tomorrow it's someone else " ...
Anyways, I am sorry for the long comment. Really sorry if you have had to read it all the way, I didn't want to take anyones' time. Sorry if I made any mistakes that make it hard to understand what I wrote... I was just sharing my view...
(If my parents or family members and family friends ever find this comment, am sorry, so please don't hate me for not believing... This is how I actually feel and I don't hate you for believing in God. I am sorry I have never told you but I doubt you would listen... There is a lot on my mind and some of it is in this comment. Let's not hate on each other and I respect you a lot. That's why I never said anything. Especially to my dad, am sorry but am still your son)

It's because there are really no good or bad things happening, it's just things happening as the man said in the video. If one action effects another action, as the man in the video believes, then god really has nothing to do with what happens after everything has started. Dying is not a bad thing, if it were then you'd have to say being alive is bad also because it is what produces death. Death is part of life, so I suppose you can think death is the bad part of being alive, but being alive is the main reason we are able to die, so knowing this I would think people would say being alive is bad because we die eventually. The man in the video just basically said that there really are no bad things happening due to the fact that whatever happens might be a good thing for someone else in the future because of this non god like affect on things he calls the ripple effect. The way things will be either have to be because of this ripple effect that he mentions or god makes everything happen the way he wants it to happen, it can not be both, you have to pic one theory and stick to it. The man in the video seems a bit indecisive.

:35 This shall you say every one to one's neighbour, and every one to his brother, what has the Lord answered? and, what had the Lord spoken?
:36 And the burden of the Lord shall you mention no more: for every one's word shall be one's burden; for you have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God.
:37 This shall you say to the prophet, what had the Lord answered you? And, what has the Lord spoken?

Frank is a multi-millionaire who probably does not believe the crap he is spouting.....i really think religion is a form of mental illness.....if only one person was religious in the world we would lock them up but because so many believe we give it a pass...... it's akin to an intelligent adult believing in Santa
