    When I do this what works for me is, close the door. And then peel the sticker and stuff up the strip in that small gap. it will be tight but good seal then after that’s done. Continue to stuff the rest in the gap while peeling the back sticker. Then after all that’s done Get a a thin object (I used a screwdriver) to run tru to make sure it all sticks, no fuzz about removing the doors and all that

    Got some of those back in December and I’m glad that I did as it’s certainly reduced the amount of dust that gets in them! Glad you made this vid for those who don’t know about this idea.

      I may have to give an update LOL. Found easier way to do it all than my trial and error. Happy now!

      @@KeCoCollects Lol but see that’s what makes for great content, the trial and error situations that most of us will relate to. I found it easy except for the door part on the right side of each case that was a bit annoying and I was able to detach mine because of the limited space that I currently have. Still I made it work and I’m pretty happy with the end result.

    Careful about completely doing this as you could trap moisture and dust inside the detolf.

      Fair point. I actually only have stripping on one side (the non hinge side)

    I did this a couple of years ago. And it does help cut down the amount of dust. However... it's not perfect! But a definite reduction.

      Right, nothing is perfect, but it sure is better than nothing!

    Very informative and helpful video 👍👍👍
    Thank you !
    May I ask you something?
    I have the same glass IKEA cabinets at home.
    And my question is, what lights are those that you use and how did you fix them ?
    Greetings !

    So you going to dust-proof the backs too? Do you have a big air purifier in the room? I would think that would be important to keep the room itself less dusty.

    • @KeCoCollects

      The back are sealed -- the front was then only issue for "leakage"

    Looking to dust proof my detolf cabinets. After dust proofing your cabinets, how do you rate your purchase of the strips. Do you recommend them, or is there something better? Do not really want to take the doors off to install them.

      I'm not upset I have them, but I don't know how much protection it genuinely offers in hindsight. In my latest display video, I explain that I only put it on the one side now.. that's good enough for me. Check it out and let me know!

    Hey there Keco, I have a question for you. I got a captain Rex hot toy about a month ago and its still in its original packaging, it’s double boxed and has protectant card board paper in the box with it. I’m in Atlanta GA, and it’s been 95-100% humidity outside over the past few days and I’m starting to get worried about the humidity levels in my home. Do you think damage to the figure is worth worrying about or should I consider getting a dehumidifier?

    • @KeCoCollects
      @KeCoCollects  2 роки тому +1

      Do you have AC? If not, a humidifier would be helpful. However, if you are going to be in a humid zone or area, a clone is your best bet. Not much rubber or anything on it to degrade. It's a mesh undersuit

    • @ddg0907
      @ddg0907 2 роки тому

      @@KeCoCollects Yes I do have AC, and that’s good to hear as I’m new to collecting and not sure of clone armor/materials are as degradable as pleather, rubber, and cloth based figures. I definitely will use a humidifier as Atlanta gets really humid. Thanks for the reply, it’s much appreciated👍
