Yes I have the Alesis nitro mesh kit and I bought some bed risers to get the rack a little bit higher They work great! Personally I think the rack is pretty solid I haven't had any issues and It's held up pretty well for the last couple of years. Another great video thanks!
Thanks Justin for the helpful video
Happy to help!
Yes the module for the Donner 200 suck on your advice got a Roland v6 module.. the difference is quite noticeable I actually haven't had a need to switch the hi-hat controller but I did change the hi-hat cymbal and snare .. once in awhile I need to adjust the sensitivity but other then that it's been nice
Awesome!
I HAVE A LOVE HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE DONNER DED 200!!! My first set, but the USB MIDI was ATROCIOUS. Ghost notes like crazy!!! ESPECIALLY IN CLONE HERO!!! But I actually think some of the samples aren't too bad!! All of the songs on my channel/soundcloud were made with it!
6.5/10 drumset!!!❤🎉
I love you, thank you for the time you too to make this video bro!!!
Thanks man! The new version of the DED-200 is much better than the ones I had. It's basically a completely different drum kit.
Thanks
Although I miss your former channel name, I appreciate how thorough your reviews are. You're meticulous in your analysis. One question: how is your Pyle Pro tabletop set performing? If I recall, you've had it for two years.
I gave it to a friend, but it’s still going strong!
Really want to see a Simmons Titan “100” or something in the $800 range with a 12” snare, 10” toms and 3 zone ride. Roland needs a push to start producing bigger drums at a lower price point.
I'm looking forward to that as well!
I bought the Nitro Mesh set from Guitar Center for under $300 18 months ago. It's been fun to play! My only complaint is the rack has gotten very flimsy in the last few months. The right side sags quite a bit and many of the collar nuts have stripped, making the pads unstable. They tend to want to rotate.
Interesting, I never had an issue with mine, but that's unfortunate. I know amazon sells replacement racks for Alesis kits.
Can you hit the pads strongly in these electro drums?
I just got the Nitro SE expanded for $460 after tax and shipping from guitar center. there's a huge sale on it righht now
Have you ever tried Millenium e-drums by any chance? They're Thomann's own budget brand (Thomann is the biggest musical instrument store in Europe), I don't know if they ship them to the US but a comparison with these other models would be very interesting. They recently started offering an e-drum kit with full size wood shells for around EUR 1000, and seem to be in the process of refreshing their other edrums (the MPS-750 "X" version for around EUR 500 has Bluetooth and a hihat that comes on its own stand for instance). Sorry if this reads like an ad, I'm not affiliated or anything, just curious if they would be worth buying.
Yes, I am aware of them. But they are not sold in the US unfortunately. Thomann would probably ship them here, but the freight would probably be pretty hefty.
I'm thinking of buying the LyxJam 8-Piece Electronic Drum Kit, just wanted to know your thoughts on it.
no thoughts, with all the other options out there, I'd avoid the lesser-known amazon brands.
@@demonicsweaters Thanks for the reply, I just subscribed. I love your detailed assessment on the drum kits featured in the video.
What was the official date of the Titan 50 release I cannot find it on the I love them however I'd like to know the history uv my products!! Thanks 🙏
sometime near the beginning of the year? You could really figure it out by going through my videos. I posted one on the day of it's release. I'm too lazy to do it for you, haha.
Hi! I'm going to US next week and was looking for this Titan 50 to bring to Brazil for my son. I watched some videos and the rack seems to be a little big to fit inside the bags. Can you tell me if it's easy to desassemble the rack to separate the metal arms and make it easyer to transport?
Yes, it's pretty easy to disassemble, though maybe a bit time consuming to put it back together, haha.
and what a good dad! :)
@@demonicsweaters thanks!
Does the titan 50 have more pieces available?
Yes, there is an expansion pack
can you choke cymbals on the nitro?
On the crash, yes. Not on the ride.
the nitro mesh SE goes on sale pretty regularly. it was my first set and i dont regret it
would u recommend over titan ?
@@prodbyjayyy_ haven't tried the titan to compare, but i did switch my alesis kick tower for a Simmons one for double kick pedal compatibility. They are similar enough, that I think it comes to which module you think is better
Hi, do any/all of these support double bass drum pedals?
Donner, Avatar, Titan 50 - Yes
SD200, and Nitro - No
@@demonicsweaters Thank you
Where does the Simmons SD600 fit in here? Right now you can get the expanded version for less than $500.
Honestly that should be up right at the top with the Titan and Nitro expanded, maybe even ahead. The 600 is a really nice kit. Built super solid, has a lot of the sounds from the 1250, and a great mesh kick pad. Definitely recommended!
also, the 600 can do velocity to pitch, which is a very cool feature in the sd2000, 1250, and 1200
Awesome, thanks!
The expanded edition is $470 right now
@@dmporch great deal!
You left out that the Titan 50 can upload other drum kits samples...although not yet
True, but since that's not out yet, I didn't want to mention it, since I don't know exactly how it will work.
Well where’s when your wrong I agree with your list but that downside is the the Simmons 50 is really 350 * at Guitar center* But with the expansion pack it’s 449$
Prices changed since making this video, now the Titan 50 is the clear choice.
The donner ded-300 is $340 right now - anyone know if that's a good deal?
Personally I'd go with a Simmons or Alesis over any Donner drum set.
@@demonicsweaters thank you! After some research i am getting the simmons!
Dude, all of the prices are much higher through your links. This is only three weeks old?
Prices fluctuate. My guess is they are setting things high again before black Friday sales.
also, the Titan 50 is $349 right now, $100 CHEAPER than before, pretty much makes this a no-brainer
